Mr Roebuck the manager let us film everywhere.
we only turned up and asked him if we could film inside and he even gave us free tickets to the last film.

Great record..yes it looks very dated inside..but really cosey...tabs and curtains and very large rooms in the main...I was awaiting a train so saw Beauty and the beast here before my journey home and I believe that was screen 3..the presentation was crisp and clear...obviously Odeon sold the date for development as there was alot of closures 2000's to 2005...it looked like an early 80's conversion..screen 1 looked huge !

Great video 😊 I’m the guy with the cap who appears here and there 😎 I always thought I’d stayed out the way lol. Mr Roebuck was a fantastic guy. Great moment at the end with me & The LEGEND Rod Cripps ❤️ It really was a great place to work and I’m still working in the industry all these years later.

I worked at thiis odeon in 1985 i loved it...i really did enjoy working there i met barbra winsdor.she opend the new kiosk awww mr roebuck the manager he sadly died
