On this adventure travel guide series I will be doing one of the most famous thru hikes in the world, Camino de Santiago or The Way of St. James. The camino actually has several different routes, and I will be taking one of the routes that is quickly getting a reputation for being the most beautiful routes of the Camino. The Camino del Norte or the Northern Way. This hike is roughly +835 kilometers and I plan to complete it in 35 days. On this episode I cover days 21-25 of the hike, passing through the region of Asturias, Spain.
Day 21 - Avilés to Muros de Nalón
Day 22 - Muros de Nalón to Soto De Luiña(Novellana)
Day 23 - Novellana to Cadavedo
Day 24 - Cadavedo to Luarca
Day 25 - Luarca to La Caridad

Wow! All I need to say is Playa del Silencio and Luarca! You can't get more beautiful than that!
I have done 14 Caminos and never entered a place at night. Usually, you would not find accommodations. I leave early around seven when its daylight and never walk past two or three o'clock so I can enjoy the main meal of the day was my clothes to dry and take a shower after a short rest I check out the town and bed down for the night.
Preciosa la Ruta del Norte espectacular-
mente hermosa sin palabras suficientes para comentar gracias por enseñarnos la Ruta del Norte.
Just watched episodes 1-5 in a row. Great stuff. Looking forward to the last two.
You are a warrior! Episode 6 this friday and episode 7 the following friday :)
Best video I have ever seen about this Camino. I am interested what time of the year you did this? Are there camping sites along the route? Worth to bring tent, sleeping bag, etc? Or better to take hostels, hotels? Where are the stamping points?
Very best docu Ive ever seen about camino. Thanks mate
my family is from luarca and i am from gijon, pretty nice to see someone talking wonders about home, but keep it secret! we cant have northern spain spoilt
hahaha! I think anyone willing to hike 835km should be invited :)

Well, I am re-discovering your Camino del Norte blogs once more thanks to the covid lockdown! ... it's always a pleasure taking this stroll once more with you. My family is in Llanes, and I miss this coast dearly ! ... summer 2021 🙏🙏👏👍 Hope all is well with you and your loved ones, we miss your postings ! Buen Camino !!!
Thanks Jorge! I have been debating on doing another route of the camino...probably the best/safest way to travel during covid.
Looking forward to see your Galicia episode!
This friday :)
Thank you so much for posting. We start the trail at the end of May and your videos have been super helpful. Let me know when the next one is up. ❤️
Thanks Nancy! Glad the videos help. I release another one this Friday and the last video next friday...I will also make 2 support videos to help in planning your camino. Buen Camino :)

We leave soon. I will check updates from the trail. You have given us a great beginning. We start from Santander and will follow the coast Llanes then onward ........................All the best I have also checked out some of your other trails. The on in Minorca looks great. 🤸🏼♂️✈️🚞🚙
Hola,
What mapping did you use thanks?🙂...a great route
Amazing !! :-)
Thanks Petr!
Lovely. Can’t wait to do it this summer on a bike. However, this is the first time in my life I’ve ever heard a native English speaker say “arrive to” instead of “arrive at”. I suppose there’s a first for everything!
hmmm...i never thought about it. I don't think it is incorrect grammar. Biking the camino will be awesome! Have fun :)
@@TheTravelVlogger Sorry, wasn't meant as a criticism! I'm a language student, which is why I'm interested! Really enjoyed the vids.
Loved watching this series - as well as the Cami de Cavalls. What would you say are the best two 5-6 day stretches of the Camino del Norte if someone only had 1 week in terms of nature and hiking quality?
Thanks David. I really liked the first 5-6 days of the Camino Del Norte, also maybe the last 5-6 days. Whole thing was great but if i was to pick my least favorite part it would have been walking in Cantabria. Buen Camino amgo!
Inspiring! I ‘ve been wanting to do El Camino for over 5 years now and with your videos, I finally got my wife on board for 2021! One question: do you arrange the hostels before hand or just improvise where to stay upon arrival of the town? Any resource you used to find the places to sleep? Thanks for the amazing videos!
You can do it! The best is to improvise. Glad you liked the videos...buen camino!
Thanks! Are there opportunities for camping with a tent? Or is that for remoter trails?
technically it is illegal to camp, but i did notice some people doing it without any problems.

Hi there, my sister and I are planing a 8-10 day hike - which part of the camino del norte would you want to check out again if you had a second go?
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Will be on the Norte in September. Any Problem with blisters?
Thanks Gabrielle! you will enjoy it so much...i was lucky and didn't have one blister problem. My advice is to wear shoes that are already broken, and to start hiking 10 miles 2-3 times per week before you start. This way your body is use to doing the distance. I normally took ibprofin once a day too to help with the joints and muscles.
Loving your videos but confused how you manage to film some shots as they pan follow you ????
I had a cameraman with me
