On this adventure series I will be doing one of the most famous thru hikes in the world, Camino de Santiago or The Way of St. James. The camino actually has several different routes, and I will be taking one of the routes that is quickly getting a reputation for being the most beautiful routes of the Camino. The Camino del Norte or the Northern Way. This hike is roughly +835 kilometers and I plan to complete it in 35 days. On this episode I cover days 26-30 of the hike, leaving the region of Asturias and entering Galicia.
Day 26 - La Caridad to Ribadeo
Day 27 - Ribadeo to Lourenzá
Day 28 - Lourenzá to Abadín
Day 29 - Abadín to Vilalba
Day 30 - Vilalba to Baamonde

Brian, I would like to express my PROFOUND GRATITUDE for you bringing me back that especial chapter in my life at the Camino de Norte🙌Fantástic video👏
You are so welcome
Another treat for the eyes! What a beautiful landscape! Thanks for bringing the beauty of the Camino del Norte to the forefront, and thanks for sharing with all of us; can't wait to return to the Cantábrico ! ... safe travels!
Thanks Jorge! Everyday I close my eyes and wish I was back there :)
Your the best. Thank you so much for posting and all the great footage.
Thanks Nancy! Your kind words make carrying the 14kg backpack filled with camera equipment worth it :)
Awesome! Thank you! Buen Camino!
Thank you! Buen Camino :)
Sweet.
Hey! I love your videos. I want to walk the Camino del Norte, but I only have 22 days. Which route do you recommend?
Thanks so much for your detailed and enjoyable videos! I only have a week to spend on the Camino and would love to do some hiking along the coast. Can you recommend a part of the route that was your favorite?
It rains in Galicia. Noticedit when I entered it on Frances route
there is a reason they call the region "green" spain :)
Hey your video insipires me so much!
I have 15 days to do camino this September, what course would you recommend . I am thinking I can have the 1st phase from iTunes then jump to the last phase to reach santiago .
If you were to pick 8 days of walking. Witch part of the route de northe would you prefer to do again? :) Im going this summer :)
Hellı, I can walk around 15 km a day. Can I find a hostel-Albergue to stay in the evenings within this distance on the Camino de Norte? 🙏
Is getting cleaned up after a long day’s hike a challenge in albergue bathrooms, or are bath facilities easily accessible?
Each albergue is different. I never had a problem but I am sure there are times when the showers are busy and you might have to wait 10-15 minutes.
It looks like the Camino Del Norte is a less frequented route, making lodging for the night certain, or is it the time of the year that accounts for less pilgrims?
It is definitely not as popular as the Camino Frances. So it most situations lodging is quite easy to find.
Whoa There! Walked the Norte August-September 2019---lots of places were full and people had to camp. Was actually in one small city/town where the albergues were full and BOTH local hotels were closed because it was Sunday--never heard of hotels closing on a weekend day! Before I walked the Norte I was warned by other people to expect to camp out. I did not have to camp but on several occasions I slept on the floor in a hallway because there were no beds or couches left.
In some places, the sign at the entrance to a village, has the name, with a red line slashing it. Like the international symbol for "no, don't, forbidden". What gives?
in europe that means you are leaving the city/town limit. Like an exit sign. On the other side of the road(as you enter the city/town) you will see the same sign but with no red line.
