Its not a conspiracy, its real 😅. Green thorn is done by Kevin John who OEMs for CKF and makes most of the modern CKF Knives. So they dont use "cheaply sourced carbon fiber" or "cheaply sourced Titanium" compared to shirogorov. You just made that up with no evidence.
Not defending clones as a concept, but there were a few things I thought should be cleared up.

To be fair (and pedantic) “cheaply sourced carbon fiber” doesn’t mean “cheap carbon fiber” it means “carbon fiber acquired for cheap.” Perhaps worth noting; perhaps not.
These are great, honestly. The fit and finish on the m390 models are several grades above the k110/vg10 budget offerings. Say what you’d like about the clone world but Green Thorn, Vespa put out quality.
Shiro Ultra Lite is their small model with 3.25 inch blade and very thin handle that is majorly milled out to make it really light weight

Agree with the assessment. I still can't justify the price for a Shiro though. I did own one for a short time but moved it along. I'd rather have a Herman for that kinda money 🤷♂️

I don't like clones. FYI, Shiro does make some smaller models. The Neon has about 3.25" blade and the Stellar is about 3.5".

clone is different than a counterfeit .
clone = a direct copy of branded knife with no visible differences with no branding ( legal in most cases )
counterfeit = a direct copy of a branded knife with no visible differences and full branding usually even comes with a convincing box. ( highly illegal )
a inspired by knife will look like a branded knife but have obvious differences when set next to the branded knife. ( legal )
As we are dead in the middle of the golden era of knives I would imagine it is pretty difficult for a new knife company or maker to make a design that isnt in part or completely taken from a knife they saw or wanted so badly as a child or some such thing that being said I find myself being much more lenient to cloning and inspired by knives , the counterfeiters can smoke a flaming turd in hell.

I dont like clones that look like the original. Im fine with green thorn because they have their own brand, and the knives they replicate cost multiple hundreds to thousands of dollars
In general not a fan of clones. For multiple reasons but especially because it's lazy and the materials used are usually really subpar.
i feel like clones arent the best thing but at the same time im so down with russian companies being cloned especially if its incredibly overpriced i dont mind that at all id love a cheburkov and several other russian makers honestly but i refuse to support russian companies in any way idk how its even legal to sell them in the us
