I'm so grateful u have ur family there at least. Yeah Mother Teresa said, "God doesn't give us more than we can handle but I wish he didn't trust me so much!" I've missed you a ton! As u remember I won ur first giveaway and I wanted to share with you what ur amazing gift enabled me to give someone else. I named my sweet ballerina, Layla sorta after ur channel name and I have luved her so much. A little back story, I clean houses for a living and I worked for a lady and her husband that asked if I would be willing to work for her sister and her husband because her sister had had a stroke and although the husband luvs to cook and take care of her sister but could use help with the cleaning and laundry and stuff. So I of course like to help people so I said yes and the lady who had the stroke could only real say yes or no and sometimes that's not always what she meant but we bonded instantly and she had a ton of porcelain dolls and I worked there for about 6 months when she had an intestinal bleed and the hospital took her off of all her blood thinners and she had another stroke that was another bad one. She couldn't walk, talk at all or even swallow and had to be put in a place that takes care of people. She would sometimes hold eye contact and hold the hand of visitors but they stopped her physical therapy because she just wouldn't cooperate even though she had some use on one side. So I knew she loved dolls and I myself know they help with anxiety so together my Mom and I made a hospital band with the ladies name and room number and a onesie with that info and explanation of that she was a therapy doll to help her not get lost and to discourage someone from taking her. (Ps I chose Layla to send because I knew she didn't have a magnet to worry about pacemakers and things and I hadn't weighted her so I knew she wouldn't be too heavy). I packed her a bag with a few outfits and accessories and sent her with the ladies sister to be therapy helper. Layla luved getting to help and everyone luved her, especially my friend who had had the stroke. Her sister recently brought Layla back to me when her sister passed away and thanked me for my generosity in sharing Layla with her sister. She said I was right that it helped with her sister's anxiety and she even would try to help to dress her when she wouldn't do any other kind of therapy. But beyond all the expected things we thought Layla could help with she said we (meaning you and I because without your generosity I don't think I would have been able to remodify or get a doll to share with her) had given her something she thought was already gone, the special bond and twinkle in her sister's eye. Her voice cracked when she told me she would go buy an outfit during the week so that on the weekend they could change her together and that was the only time she saw that spark back in her sister's eye since the second stroke. Thank u so much for ur generosity and know that you are helping people you don't even know just because of the special person you are. Don't let things get u down and if they do just remember u gave a fellow dolly friend her spark back.
