I'm 5'11 219 and my 1998 Honda recon carriers me at ease.

My family has owned a honda recon for nine years now and plan to have it for many more. We have never had a single problem with it, we have only had to change the battery and it needs new tires because the tred is down, but it is a really good four wheeler.

I had a chance to ride my buddies about a week ago and finally got what you meant by the honda ergonomics. Also just like you said it had a great sound and put out a lot of power for a 200 utility. It made me start looking to get one

Hey you forgot to mention its versatility they make more modification kits and parts for the Recon than I can count and i'm a pretty slick counter.

thats absolutly correct. Ive had mine for a year now and the manual says only 40 but ive clocked it up to 47 mph

We never measure top speed as it can vary so much depending on conditions - altitude, road surface, tire pressure, rider weight, you name it. Plus we really don't think it matters.

@DrunkCatfish And that's why so many people bought (and still buy) the simple. basic Hondas!

@sniping12 MAybe something like a Honda 250EX or 300EX might be the easiest (and cheapest) to find used and still be reliable...

@sniping12 What kind of riding? Do you ride 2wd or 4wd quads?

My dad, brother and I are all 6' 3" and fit fine. My brothers 210 and muscular, I'm 190 and a tiny bit muscular, just newbie gains. And the dad is 260 I think, the same as me, but with extra fat. I will say it's a little more comfortable riding on something like a big bear 400cc or grizzly 700cc, it's not like trying to ride a kids bike. It's not uncomfortable, just gets more comfortable the bigger the atv is.
