I'm 5'11 219 and my 1998 Honda recon carriers me at ease.
My family has owned a honda recon for nine years now and plan to have it for many more. We have never had a single problem with it, we have only had to change the battery and it needs new tires because the tred is down, but it is a really good four wheeler.
I had a chance to ride my buddies about a week ago and finally got what you meant by the honda ergonomics. Also just like you said it had a great sound and put out a lot of power for a 200 utility. It made me start looking to get one
Hey you forgot to mention its versatility they make more modification kits and parts for the Recon than I can count and i'm a pretty slick counter.
thats absolutly correct. Ive had mine for a year now and the manual says only 40 but ive clocked it up to 47 mph
We never measure top speed as it can vary so much depending on conditions - altitude, road surface, tire pressure, rider weight, you name it. Plus we really don't think it matters.
@DrunkCatfish And that's why so many people bought (and still buy) the simple. basic Hondas!
I'm 5'6 170 pounds and love my 250 Es and 250 s models not the most powerful but plenty for me love love I'm stuck on Honda now in spoiled no more Yamaha or Kawasaki
@ATVTVCOM cool thank you
@MegaBuckhunter10 No problem!
@sniping12 MAybe something like a Honda 250EX or 300EX might be the easiest (and cheapest) to find used and still be reliable...
@sniping12 What kind of riding? Do you ride 2wd or 4wd quads?
My dad, brother and I are all 6' 3" and fit fine. My brothers 210 and muscular, I'm 190 and a tiny bit muscular, just newbie gains. And the dad is 260 I think, the same as me, but with extra fat. I will say it's a little more comfortable riding on something like a big bear 400cc or grizzly 700cc, it's not like trying to ride a kids bike. It's not uncomfortable, just gets more comfortable the bigger the atv is.
hello atvtv,
im looking for an atv for my friends to ride with me i dont want any smaller than a 250 and no bigger than a 400, im going to buy a used one, but i was wondering which atv i should go with,
thanks
@ATVTVCOM i ride 2 wheel drive honda trx 450r, i ride trails and a little sand, a little fast but no so much that a begginer cant keep up
Yippeee!
yes it is a lite
@kowal789 It would work just not as well as a bit bigger machine...
@kowal789 would be perfectly comfy i weigh about 250 and its got all the power u need
Is this atv better than the Suzuki ozark 250 both are very good
Both are excellent machines
Is the gear indicator only got the ES model?
+A Light I don't remember....Sorry.
Honda is always reliable.
My dad gave me his 99 recon after he put it through hell then I get it into any mess possible and it still runs U CAN'T KILL IT i think it's the best 250 ever
5'4 220 pounds can i ride it?
@kowal789 yes it is i have won and i way 235 and they ride fine and have power
I have a 03 recon es 250
would this atv even be comfortable for a 240 pound person?
he probable got his on craigslist. thats where i got mine
I would still rather have a real manual transmission
Assuming you learn to ride an ATV your size will not be a problem.
i bought a 2012 honda recon for $2500
where ?!?!?!?!?? reply !!
lol recons are tanks... if i ever sell my rubicon and go to sport 4wheelers then im buying a used recon and replacing my rubicon
