      @@jikd0 No, I am very happy with mine. For my next car I am looking at something RWD for a difference experience, since I have FWD covered. The short list includes the Mazda Miata, Toyota GR 86, the new Nissan Z, Toyota GR Supra, Mustang Ecoboost High Performance with the Handling Package or the upcoming GR Corolla because it just looks amazing and all in manual of course. In a perfect world I would have them all but in the real world I just don't have that kind of money. With that said I am so glad there are so many good 6-speed manual sports cars out there right now because there will be a time this will all change. I don't take any of this for granted.

      Hello man, how are you enjoying the type R? I am looking foward to buy one next year in nardo gray. The one concern i have is the lack of exhaust noise (?) Whats your opinion?
      Also, is 320hp fast? I'm only used to 110hp on my megane lol
      Thz

    • @StandingUpForBetter
      @StandingUpForBetter Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@pedrovalente252 I love it. Here in the US because of the difference in fuel our Type R's don't get 320 HP but 306 HP. I was able to get about 5 HP back with a K & N air filter, so I get about 311 HP. With that said, it is very fast. There is no way you can reach its limits on the streets or even try. I updated to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and the car just puts the power down and throws you forward. You can reach triple digits in a few seconds, and on top of that it gets great MPGs if you need it to. This is all stock, no tune.
      The exhaust is quiet. I still have the stock set up and not going to change it. I have come to appreciate the quiet exhaust after living with the car longer and driving it in my neighborhood as well as driving it by downtown restaurants. All the good sounds come from the front from the engine and not out the back and with the quiet exhaust you notice the blow off sounds more form the turbo especially with the K & N air filter.
      I hope that helps. For me, this car is a keeper, and I am not selling it. If you are able to get one, in good condition at a good price it is more than worth it! Best regards.

    I'm personally glad Honda kept the boy racer elements and made it functional, because it's a Honda Civic it is a king of all boy racer cars, the history or heritage(shall I say) formed within the boy racer culture, there's no denying about it. Honda could've just denied any relations with boy racer and gave it suave and sophisticated look like most of it's rivals, but they bravery didn't. They gave respect to where Civic came from, I believe that's what Honda designers did

    I have had my R for about 2 months now, about 2500miles on it. So far I am totally in love with this thing, its really something special and as an enthusiast but not a "driver" I can tell you this car does not require someone with track experience to enjoy. I daily mine and love that I can rip it when I want to have some fun but with a button away I can make the car drive like a base Civic and have a comfy ride. Granted you can't turn down the looks but honestly, this car has two types of people, the ones who love it and the ones who hate it. As someone who loves it I understand its not for everyone and that's fine, not everyone needs to drive the best FWD car on the domestic market right now... move along, move along.

    I own a manual 6 speed Golf R and have driven my friends Type R a few times. My thoughts on comparing the 2. The Golf R feels faster HOWEVER The Type r is way more race/track focused. Harder suspension, firmer steering, more feedback on steering, better clutch and transmission feel, mechanical LSD.... Basically feels more raw and more engaging. Seating position is more race car feel, and seats are superb. Really love this car. However id pick the Golf R if its just for daily use as i found the Golf R a bit easier to live with ie. softer ride, easier to get in and out of cabin. Better if you have kids or family. Golf R feels a bit lighter, faster to me also, especial if you go stage one APR, gives the engine a lot more torque and better power delivery. The only other reason id pick the Golf R is if you live in a country where it snows or rains a lot as i found with the Type R when you put the power down in the wet it loses a lot of traction when you push it hard even in a straight line because of its FWD system. . Golf R is more planted in these conditions and imo safer.. If i could have both the Type R would definitely be my dry weather back roads/track car and the Golf my daily. or when conditions are bad.

      The back is divisive but I don't get how it's a deal breaker for anyone. The point of the Type-R is how it drives and it's not like you can see the rear of the car when you're inside it. May as well have an obnoxious rear for when you're overtaking BMW and Audi drivers anyway.

Best modern stock i4 engine too. It’s quick, cheap, reliable, practical, and affordable. Just Bc it’s fwd and a 4-banger doesn’t mean it deserves hate. Plus it’s a manual only option which is fun.

      martin gicemi I don't care for football.
      You didn't say to use both KPH & MPH in your first post.
      I'm afraid it's just something you'll have to get used to, like when I watch Australian videos & they talk of power in KW instead of BHP or certain people using PS.
      It's good to expand your knowledge.

    • @martingicemi8745
      @martingicemi8745 Před 7 lety +1

      of course am learned enough to know how to estimate, though he would make it easier for most viewers globally. Actually most of the world uses SI units, they are the global standard. And one last thing, its kilowatts, we measure power by kilowatts KW

    • @Zerofightervi
      @Zerofightervi Před 7 lety

      martin gicemi I'm well aware that it's Kilowatts, that's what KW means.
      It's shorter to type KW you see.
      It didn't harm the popularity of TopGear to use UK imperial measurements of MPH ( or Miles Per Hour ) & BHP ( or Brake Horse Power ).
      It's not wrong for a UK based group to use UK measurements, have you heard of Brexit?
      We're quite accustomed to going our own way.
