we need Not only Cargo containers but also maybe some Gunracks could have GUNS on them considering
and when they gonna make parts removeable ?
Agreed! Small things like a Rifle/Pistol left behind in a vehicle to add just a little more 'loot' vibe.
Love to see the Hull A getting some activity.
Thank you for the quick overview. I was hoping that there would be more consistent loot in the ships now, so that you can have fun with it even if you only loot. Risky Salvage sounds quite profitable at 800k profit in 2 hours with the flights to sell. Too bad the 150k was adjusted so carefully. There you are right, because there must be more, so that the players in pvp fight for it.
Happy to help!
It's all a gamble that only averages over many hours. I did 4 risky in 15 minutes the other day and literally all 4 had the exact same 3 boxes. Laranite, Gold, and Scrap one each. I lost 8k in those 4 missions.
@@Falcodrin Remember if you salvage as well as loot you'll get an easy 30-60k per wreck on top of that
@@mickmccasker6401 yea but actual him scraping is still really low money per hour. The vulture needs a trailer.
Cheers!
I just did 2 risky caterpillar salvage missions and 1 hammerhead legal mission with no cargo. Lost 110k in "fees".
So....How much of that Caterpillar Hull did you scrape?? Because judging by your comment, I'd say you bought into it, stormed the cargo hold, got mad when nothing was there and.....😂🤣🤣 Left?? 😂😅😅
@@durtyred86 That's exactly what I did. I didn't scrape any of the three ships. I was seeing if there was any cargo. There was none in the three salvage missions I took.
Not mad at all. I just wanted to share my small bit of experience with this and possibly prevent others from losing pretend money.
@@durtyred86 i mean ya salvaging ships is a waste of time. The money is the cargo :0 and pulling off big boy weapons.
@@ragerblade82 lol no bro, it's a *salvage* mission. Scrape the Cat for 200k or so and be happy if/when you get some cool loot as a bonus
@@ragerblade82 negative, if youre taking salvaging contracts to gamble you WILL lose money brother. You gotta scrape if you find cargo thats just a plus.
when loading/unloading factors in we will see a huge shift in pace. for Raft over say a Freelancer max consolation or MSR.
The Raft can only take 32 SCU containers though. The Constellation is rather easy to load/unload due to the cargo lift with the Taurus also having tractorbeams on the bottom turret allowing for bigger scu crates and containers to be moved and has a shielded unscannable rear compartment for smuggling illegal goods.
Great film. Loved the footage from Brios! 😂
Hahaha appreciate it Man!
Great video! Lots of awesome info!
How many illegal missions do you need to complete to get the 30k missions???
Honestly not many. It's not like the rep for bunkers or bounties. I scraped maybe 3 ships and had it all unlocked
so to unlock the risky 30k missions you need a salvage ship and complete some 10k ones?
You need to complete enough of the legal ones to unlock them. The risky missions currently don't advance your "Salvage Rank"
how do you get access to the 30k risky contracts? I've done a 10k one and haven't gotten access (completely salvaged it)
Do you have access to the higher tier legal missions?
@@BeardofOz how do you unlock higher tiers?
Very good.
i did 3 risky catepillars and got 1 widow 1 maze 1 quant and 1 slam on each of them. Decent amount of money to make during lunch break.
i only met 1 other person out of the "wake of disaster mission" in a caterpillar lol, easy target xD
I can't seem to unlock the higher cost risky missions? I've completed ag least 5 of the 10k cost ones so far. Any tips?
Do you have access to the higher tier Legal Ones?
No. Should i?
If you've unlocked the tier it will show both legal and illegal. It may be linked to completion of legal missions for progression. try scraping some legal wrecks and see if that works for you.
eggs and hide will all be moved to base building and stuff in the future is my guess.
Hopefully we see some crafting sneak it's way into the PU soon!
How do u get the 30k risky missions w/o a vulture?
Like I said in the video, you have to complete the Salvage Missions.
@@BeardofOz Ok so in other words u can't get even the 30k risky missions w/o a Vulture. Was hoping it only applied to the legal ones. At the very least CIG should have made a Vulture rentable to facilitate those who don't wish to pledge one. That puts the higher levels of Salvage behind a steep paywall.
@@cyvan1750 Fly a disposable ship to a risky mission, get out and move away from both ships (including the salvage one) then wait for timer to expire, a hostile vulture will spawn and let it destroy both ships, move closer and board it then kill the pilot - don't worry no crime stat; now do a 5k and 20k mission (tip take the weapons off the ship, you don't need to put them in the cargo) and scrap the hulls. Each one complete unlocks better versions. When you can finally get the 50k/30k risky you don't need the vulture you ripped off
@@findern2arm62 Wow! I didn't even know there were NPC Vultures
@@findern2arm62 this doesn’t work anymore the vulture flies off
i did 2 VHRT and get 2green box,2 wiow 2 maze frome reclaimer only
I ran a bunch of HRT's and none of the Mongrels had cargo 😂
@@BeardofOz it lock like only reclaimer have loot only 3 each tim
today i mad 600 k doing 8 vhrt,and i made it to ERT,will see
I agree with the isc. Why we only get alien fighters??? How about work on the cargo ship. A miner. Salvage. Starter. Etc. so much money could be made.
I tried my hand at salvaging in 3.19 and didn't get a single mission with any cargo onboard, in addition i only found a single free salvage spot with a couple of panels. After three days i only got a single salvage run where i had a full load of cargo, most of the time i returned with 3 or 4 SCU of salvage max.
Between randomly exploding trying to enter/exit hangers and hitting invisible asteroids i ended up losing money for almost two days straight before i finally gave up.
The salvage loop with be fine if the game actually worked but without a serious payout every successful mission there's not enough profits to make up for all the times you'll lose everything because of bugs.
IMO CIG ripped people off by making the payouts generous to sell the Vulture then nerfed it on purpose afterwards.
Completely agree. I really liked the idea of salvage as a gameplay loop, so I got a vulture. Then, the gameplay was dull and it didn't make enough to justify, so I switched to a Taurus.
HOW DO YOU GET TO DO RISKY IVE DONE SO MANY 10K ONES AND LOSE MONEY
HAVE YOU TRIED DOING THE LEGAL ONES UNTIL YOU'VE GAINED ACCESS TO THE 50K LEGAL ONES INSTEAD OF JUST DOING THE ILLEGAL ONES THEN COMPLAINING?
@@BeardofOz to "level up" you need to use vulture to complete this mission? And after 3 or so you get access to the "hidden level" where u can get the 50k free ones
I rewatched the video was super faded last night. I only had 100k now I'm down to 25k from the missions but I didn't have vulture so I wasn't leveling up just taking boxes/guns in my Taurus and still losing money lol
Yeah, so far it seems doing the legal ones (completing the contract by scraping the ship) is the only way to rank up and unlock the 50k legal and 30k risky contracts.
@@BeardofOz hopefully that works better kinda upset and we salvage their guns but we can't get their components though from the salvage ships
The Salvage Missions work perfectly. Their Prices are balanced in a way that you come out with a guaranteed good profit if you actually Salvage the ships. The Cargo is literally just bonus on top.
If you go for cargo only, you're doing nothing more than gambling. This cry across the community about those missions being nerfed or not profitable is kinda annoying atm.
Well only people who coughed up the money to do any salvage can only do the salvage missions atm with no way on getting a vulture in game and using a reclaimer for a solo is mind numbingly annoying so getting to at least tryout the new mission without one is a nice way to hold us off until they drop the vulture in game
Currently salvaging is a multi-crew mission to make it worth doing for profit. The boxes mitigated the loss of time and investment money by giving you a higher stakes chance for reimbursement. Unless you own a reclaimer or are breaking down ships in multiple vultures, the time spent is not practical for the money earned solo.
@@idofx8722no it's not. It's multi crew for the Reclaimer but it's not for the Vulture. I just made 250k off of one Hammerhead. It took two trips but I managed easily enough.
@@durtyred86 you can make the argument that even with an vulture having a second player around with a cargo ship emptying the vultures salvage station for you while you keep salvaging is a massive time saving and saves you the second or even third trip. They can also rip off the ship weapons and components while you are salvaging and move them to their cargo ship. The 20 s4 laser repeaters on the HH alone are worth 80k auec.
@@BizzMRK I've not tried the weapons selling. How exactly do you sell them and where??? I've been curious about that. But yea, you're 100% correct.
Got burned on the 150k mission no crates so you would have to scrape 2 loads in the Vulture and i cant last that long. Yes its been nerfed.
Hold on, the risky salvage is meant for pvp? Oh hell no fuck that. If that ever picks up I'm abandoning salvaging entirely.
The Risky Salvage Missions are meant for PVE. The Open Mission "In the Wake of Disaster" is the PvP intended salvage mission.
I've had a bad string of ships. 4 $10K ships in a row had no cargo in the hold. Then 1 ship with unsellable cargo. A waste of $50K
What was the unsellable Cargo? I thought .1 was removing the unsellable crates 🤔
@@BeardofOz I thought so too!
Laranite and Hadanite.
I couldn’t sell it anywhere. I tried GrimHex, Brios Breaker, TDD on MicroTech, CRU-L5 because I though there was a Dont Ask Don’t Tell ..
Nowhere worked
That's bizarre! Laranite should sell at the TDD so perhaps it's bugged 😔 Hadanite I usually sell at Admin/Planetary services. Sounds like a bug though.
@@BeardofOz Yea maybe it was the server! I’ll have to try again, if I can find a ship with cargo actually in it.
Im curious when folks say "couldnt sell". Were those locations not allowing the sale of those items ... blocked out red, or did the transaction just not finish processing? I wonder if it's a sync issue, a full inventory issue or a bug. I've seen the same behavior with other items like medpens, tractor beams etc, when selling them back.
cargo??? wheres the small or big fleet pew pew???
Yeah, it’s a bit of waste of time in my humble opinion.
I have a Vulture and I have tried the legal salvage missions.
When you salvage the ship, you usually make a bit more than the cost of the contract, so if the wreck does not contain any loot, you end up with a pretty poor payday.
There is also the cargo capacity factor for the Vulture, it does not hold a lot and you cant take more than one 50K contract or two 20K contracts before you need to head off and sell your stuff, so the profit over time is not very good.
…. For salvage, I find it MUCH better to head out in the ring round Yella or Aron’s halo and “blindfolded” find salvage, at least there its pretty easy to fill the cargo with about 170K worth of salvage ….
I disagree. Ans initially, I felt this way too. The smaller ships don't net much. But I cleared 200k off of one Hammerhead. That was my first large salvage mission. That's a great payday for roughly 45 minutes. Sure, if you're lucky you can clear that in a few ERT's but those missiles don't always hit their target. Salvaging is definitely working as expected. I will however say that if you want to remove the risk of putting that down payment on the line, doing what you said should work well. Though it appears they've kinda dried out the area on free claim salvages.
I almost exclusively go for the 50k buyin Hammerhead contracts in my Vulture since those are easy and fast to salvage. The 20 s4 laser repeaters on the turrets alone are worth 80k and the RCM from the hull roughly around 200k auec. You can comfortably fit 20 scu in the vultures and 22-24 if you fill it to the brim.
@@durtyred86 Yeah, as I said, you can recover your contract fee, but when you have to rely on RNG to make it a reasonable payday (loot or no loot) then the “risk to reward” factor makes it a pretty poor return of investment over time.
I have tried the “Personal” missions too, but there are simply not enough time to both salvage and loot before you have to hightail it out of there.
It was better before the “balance / nerf”…. Maybe too good as well, but now IMO, it does not make sense if you are looking at profit over time.
I can usually salvage a full load (170K) within the time it takes to run legal salvage missions, I can run two consecutive bunker missions (75k + 60K + bonus) in same time, or fill my prospector with tier 1 and 2 materials to make more (consistent) money.
But I agree, it is possible to make money and by the time I have grinded the ships I want, I will probably go back and do it a bit more often, but as long im grinding, I rather do something that consistently makes good profit with much less RNG involved.
Wait what? I'm getting around 100k/hour profit just cruising from legal to legal salvage. Speed it up or go illegal and it's about triple that.
If you get a 30k salvage job and get less than about 80k off it you're doing something wrong.
Pro tip: The Vulture holds 23 SCU without issue, 25 if you want to risk it. That's minimum 177k before you're flying home.
Besides daymar and grim hex are there any other places to sell cargo from risky salvages? Daymar and grim hex is so dam busy, there are always pirates
so not pokies, but keno.
I really dont believe this ship is coming out this year. How is a server going to handle 20 Hull C's fully laden with cargo? How are they going to change the economy? Still feels like alot of work to be done around that ship release and with the current servers chugging on PES as it stands now, just seems like another pipe dream.
I've wondered the same thing. I really hope it does come out (so I can live out in space in my warehouse of a ship) though I'm preparing myself for a delay.
I will tell you what they are most likely going to do at least for the economy. For one you can't land the hull C on a planet and fill it. So they will most likely only have low vaule stuff at stations waste and scrap is already there. So the profits will be about the same because you will only be able to sell junk in large quantities. It also won't be worth it to rob a whole C because you'll spend hours unloading scrap which is pretty much worthless per box. This is really the only way they can do it without killing cargo for the other ships like the Hercules and the caterpillar. So big cargo ships are pretty much going to haul useless junk at low value. If I had to guess correctly.
@@jasonmaxwell9762 So this is actually a nice overview answer, thanks, appreciate it
How was the video boring for the santokyai? I find cargo stuff boring... so it was the other way around imo. You can find the first part boring but don't assume everyone else thought it was boring.
It was a joke because I love cargo 🤣
san tok why more like smh
Lmfao....Will someone PLEASE tell me this guy is not taking salvage missions without......salvaging!!!!??😂😂🤣
That's what the video is about 😬
Down voted because of bad/poor information.
There is a Bug that doesn't allow you to salvage the missions so no luck earning anything from that and I see you suffered from this and well. However 50k missions for me did not return any cargo what so ever so a complete waste of time and money.
Poor information. Bad video.
Perhaps share the Issue Council/Forum threads/videos that document this? It’s one thing to disagree with information being presented - but just criticizing a content creator harshly by citing ‘bugs’ without providing receipts seems hypocritical.
And before it’s suggested, I’m not just blindly supporting this CC’er as a ‘fanboy’ or something - first time on this channel. Where this person is going through the effort to document their anecdotal experience as a cautionary tale, you are criticizing with little interest in being charitable towards their efforts, or to provide tangible evidence to help correct incorrect info.
@@whamo_3 perhaps you look on the issue council for it.
@@christopherblair8787 Burden of proof - the video already had the content creator clearly say 'in my experience' any number of times with their video evidence... fair play to an extent that you also said 'for me,' but if there's contradictory evidence, just saying 'you're giving bad info because I experienced the opposite' based on personal anecdotal evidence vs the same is absurd - especially when you're suggesting someone is spreading bad information about undocumented changes of all things.
Sure sure.
