Something about the melodies and feel to this one are just gorgeous. It took me a bit at first to feel this new album but now I can't stop cycling through it over and over again.

They are entitled to change whatever they want to suit their musical preferences. I was just responding to your comment which stated that the music is written the same vein. Many of the new songs have a more defined structure, as well as more melodic parts (probably to fit the vocal / style change).

I'm glad I got to see them live when they were playing a lot of these songs from this album.
I have listened to songs from Veil of Maya in the past. To be honest, the musicians are brutally tight and gooooooood on their instruments. However their previous vocalists do not really cut the cheese for me......all the previous vocalists could do is scream like the feverish hounds of the underworld and that's just it. However I believe that VOM has gone in the RIGHT direction with the introduction of the new vocalist. I mean......LISTEN to these masterpieces..this albums has much tasty stuff..instrumental parts, brutal break downs, awesome musical passages...
the Works...these musicians are Fantastic writers and the new vocalist adds a really new dimension to this album. Also the vocalist's cleans are perfect as well as his screams. Plus there is clarity in his singing.....vocals like that should connect well with audiences world wide, not some Donald Duck quack core vocals pitched down 3 octaves......

The Tom run 0:17 - like a Juggler catching all balls falling from different hights. Gorgeous Bell Cymbal 1:03 and Combo 1:04/1:05 more of this stuff 1:24/1:25 ghost notes left and right. Just how I like it. And I'm probably not the first one mentioning the nice Vocal / Bassline Combo in the Chorus.

I mean honestly if you take a good listen Issues REALLY does have a lot of solid writing, their stuff is fairly technical at times.

I'm was just pointing out that a lot of people don't realize that (or don't want to accept it) so they tend to give them hate because they sound a bit poppy.
