It is definitely a case of manipulating the FMC speeds. The A300-600 is a very primitive system that needs constant attention. I do not know how to speed intervene, so I hard tuned every change through the FMC until I took over manually and turned the FD off. It is a generation behind.

Question, when descending, how do you follow the speed constraints? When I start my descent, it always slows down to around 230KTs.
