amzn.to/3neFa24 Affiliate Link Pressure washer has no link right now/ info below Dewalt 3300 psi at 2.4 gpm cold water gas pressure washer/ I bought mine at Home Depot
I work in car detailing, so i am lucky to have a car wash bay and pressure washer to my disposal. What i ended up doing is laying my 6×8 ft. rug over a large clothing drying rack (to avoid laying the rug on our dirty shop floor), i sprayed it with some carpet extractor. After that sat for 5 minutes i started spraying the whole thing until it ran clean of dirt and suds... Holy crap is all i have to say. I did NOT expact so much dirt to come of our houses floor rug. Sorta grossed me out. It didn't look super dirty at the house, but after i cleaned it and i saw the difference in direct sunlight it went from a tan color to an off white... I completely forgot it was white when we bought it! After it drip dried for a while in the sun, i took my air hose and sprayed lots of the excess water out so it could dry quicker. Thank you so much for this video. I didn't know if the rug would like this method of cleaning. I'm glad it did! Saved me from buying a new rug for our new place. As an extra bonus, the piling of the carpet is now like new as well, no longer matted down. I've shampooed it before, but never got results like this. Without this, the rug would have had long term damage to the pile.
I heard what you said, but the Dewalt is too expensive for me so do you think a Sun Joe SPX3000 2030 Max PSI 1.76 GPM 14.5-Amp Electric High Pressure would work?
@Twin Cities Adventures is right that the more powerful washer is much better, but in my experience the lower power washers are WAY better than just a hose. Hoses with a nozzle on them peak at about 300 PSI when the electric washers peak at ~2000. I already had an electric washer for my deck and it worked ok for washing my rug.

I still go back for your Keto Cheesecake recipes. They are the best. Hope you and the boys are doing well.
That’s a lot of trophies
Beautiful rug
Good job!
Wow! Thank you!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you I never knew you could do this.
Thanks for the tips
I bet u could do this at a car wash
Absolutely, it might be a little heavy to lift home though. You might have to bring it home in a pick up truck.
most car washers recycle the same water with some filtering. So probably not
Awesome thank you
What kind of cleaning solution did you use?
I bought the cleaning solution that was at Home Depot for pressure washers.
How much would you charge to pressure wash a rug?
Did is alter the nap at all, did you need to vacuum or brush it to get it back to fluffy?
I did this to my manufactured rug and yes, it affected the nap. It was clean., there is no way that a steam cleaner would’ve worked.
What kind of squeegee did you use?
The one that came with the house when I bought it. It was in the garage and it’s probably 50 years old…

I feel that between 3230 to 3500 is a good medium range power washer. I had an electric washer once a long time ago and it was so weak I returned it.

Lol I have both of these rugs. What are the odds?
Hi I do not own a power washer. What do I need to purchase in addition to the power washer? Connectors? Wand? Hose? Any info would be appreciated.
Everything comes with the power washer. The cleaning solution is sold separately.
@@TwinCitiesAdventures Thanks!
How about a shag rug, the same size as that oriental rug?
I clean it the same way and let it dry for as long as it takes.
How do you dry it in the winter?
Either don’t do it in the winter or bring it in the house to dry it with a fan.
Why would you wash it in the winter?
In the winter you take it out on a below zero day and leave it in the snow to freeze the bugs if any.
Nice mm
Can this be used for wool rug?
Yes just watch what you’re doing and be careful.
