I got my backpack today and my parents thought it was a bad decision cause its so small, this is the only thing i want for christmas lol (edit on June 29th, 2020: I’m obsessed with these backpacks, they have amazing back support and if you use your space wisely you can fit a lot inside.)

Just got a kanken backpack today! I love it! And i love the quality, i was nervous that i would get a fake one. But nope. I didn't. :). Mine is like a mustard yellow one. There are so many to choose from it was kinda hard lol.

juno to be completely honest if you want a kanken that will match with every outfit you can never go wrong with black but some very popular/pretty colors are ochre (which is a dark mustard yellow) pink, sky blue and grey another pretty color that catches my eye was brick red i think and i think that will match every outfit but it’s up to you and what you wanna get! ❤️

i just bought ocher ( the yellow kanken) and i’m in love. i bought the regular and it was only 80 at journeys and it is 100% real. It fits everything and i personally like the regular better than the large. but prefer the regular over the mini. great for school and traveling:)

One thing i would like the backpack to have is THICKER straps because if you have a lot of stuff for school and you want this backpack you will have BACK PAIN
Veronica Zoto Fjallraven made these backpacks in order to help prevent back pain. The straps are built a certain way to help distribute the weight evenly, so one side isn’t carrying more than the other. Also, I believe they make add on straps so they are thicker and more comfortable:) (sorry if this came off as mean or anything. I am just trying to help!)
yep. in the backpack where it says “this pack belongs to” it actually says that in 1978 they came up with the kanken backpack for swedish children that had back pain.
Completely wrong the purpose of the bag is to prevent it!

Francine P. Life advice? Pair down as much as you can. Leave everything except what is necessary/needed for the day in your car/at home so you only have to carry one + a small bag.

I’m in Middle School and I’m going to 7th Grade WITH a water bottle do you recommend this? I don’t really know if I’m going to have a lot of stuff too...
In my seventh grade most of the stuff was online so the amount of physical stuff was minimal. Every school is different though. You could just put the water bottle in one of the main pockets. I totally recommend. I don’t think you’ll have a space problem unless you’re in high school. I really love mine

How big are the notebooks? It may fit but it’ll feel super heavy on your back. I’m getting my second kanken for the new school year but I’m only putting

my pens and writing stuff will just go in the side pockets.

4:20 that’s silica! it’s kept in new shoes and bags, and stuff like that they contain silicon dioxide, aka "silica." it can absorb moisture and keep things dry. silica bags can prevent bacteria or mold from growing.

My 17" Kanken fits all of my school supplies perfectly, and works amazing for traveling! So If you're looking for a kanken that will last you a while no matter how much you have to carry I completeley recommend the 17"!

I have a classic , I thought it was not big enough for middle school and through out high school but it fits a LOT , don’t regret buying it at all
I have 2 Kankens, actually- a classic one that’s in the color plum and a bigger one which is the 15” laptop sleeve in the color blue ridge. I can also agree by saying that kankens in general are so great. They fit all of my school supplies, waterbottles(plastic ones) my hydro won’t fit in the side pockets. They can fit: about 4 big binders-the thick ones, 2 marble notebooks, gum, my wallet, my phone, a pencil case, and a lunch bag. So I’d say that it really is worth the money and it is very durable. For me, I’m using the classic Kanken for traveling, and the bigger one for school. For those people who are wondering how much they cost, the classic is about 80 dollars and the bigger one is about 115 I think. Overall, I would recommend getting them for functionally, style, and price :)

I got the 15inch and I do have a lot of stuff and I have 2inch binder 3 and one 1inch binder it all fits but one ☝️ 2inch binder and it fits books pencils and everything thing else I need water bottles do not fit if you have a lot of stuff in you kanken ^^

In the small front pocket i can fit chapstick, earbuds, 2 small bottles of hand lotion and still have room
In one side pocket i fit several pencils and in the other I fit my iPhone 8 plus with a thick case
So if you’re questioning wether its worth it-It totally is!! Also it doesn’t sag or feel like you have a lot in the backpack at all

The paper packet inside was a desiccant packet which has a material (I think silica gel) that absorbs moisture during the shipping process since most fully automated shipping centers aren’t air conditioned for humans since it’s not necessary. Actually it’s a smart idea.
