The Ruh is the part of you who longs for `ibadah and spirituality over all. It is the part of you which enjoys the Qur'an, dhikr, salawat and many other beautiful things. The nafs is equivelant to the ego. It wants what pleases it. All the desires, lusts, emotions, deceitful manners cone from the nafs. If it isn't tamed it can destroy us. This is why Tazkiyat un-nafs is important in Islam.

What I understand,
Ruh: The Pre Coded Programming. It has no freewill. It's just a machine or a tool.
Nafs: It is the one who decides, it can choose what to do and what not to do.

From what i gather from what is being said in the lecture it appears that the two words "ruh" and "naffs" are equivalent to two categories of guidance/help ie. ruh being equivalent to guidance/help from ALLAH and naffs being "guidance/help" from anything else other than ALLAH (which is of course not true guidance/help).

Ruh is what is determined & decreed over you. We from asian malay,nafs has 2 meaning. Which is nafsu=desire & nafas=breath. Which seems if you are to get up to go to work or school,is determined & decreed daily same as performing salah & etc. But to neglect as i feel lazy today to work or school or salah. Is your nafs against your ruh. The more you fight your nafs,the more you feel your ruh in you. The more you will feel alive. InsyaAllah.

there are 7 different types of Nafs ranking from the lowest to the purest: 1 nafsi ammare 2. nafsi levvame 3. nafsi mulhama 4. nafsi mutmainne 5. nafsi radiye 6. nafsi marziyya 7. nafsi kamila.
@@xenaburg2362 the vast majority of people are in the first, the nafsi Emmare. İf you sin occasionally and you feel very bad about it that's the nafsi levvame which means the nafs that berate itself. İf you stop sinning all together and don't even feel like doing it and have a lot of inspiration (ilham) that's the third nafs
@@xenaburg2362 What nafs you are in doesn't matter all that much. Every person should consider himself to be on nafsi emmare, the lowest of the nafs rank. If you think "i'm better than people of the nafsi emmare" then thats kibr which is a huge sin.

• The nature of nafs is, it lives in perception, imagination, thoughts
• Apply Malham/lotion to nafs in ur imagination and it will work
• There are slow layering on nafs when every time you do healing
• Spirituality and meditation helps
• It has a noori/light component so all things related to light, positivity, imaan helps.
• The good deeds gives you a positive perception about yourself hence it helps in nafsi healing, charity, helping others do help
• Your consciousness is noori/light and it heals you when you shine its light on your nafsi existence
• Breath is like building block of nafs, hence breathing helps a lot in healing

I have born in a Muslim family, I am glad about that but our economics problem we don't have enough money so I can go to school but can't go to tuition I work by myself ... due to some personal affairs my dad was unable to teach us how to read holy Quran I sometimes try to read by myself but couldn't but I have English translation if I read it is it going as normal as reading the Quran. @@aqqq9053 I'm a brother, and I tend to overthink and have subconscious doubts, idk if I'm in the right phycological state, for example, sometimes I doubt my memory, ie when I'm reading a paragraph, while reading, I have doubts whether I will be able to remember/understand what I just read, or I can't construct good moderate sentences sometimes because I overthink etcc

This one of the times when you need to turn to Allah the most. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta`ala is our Wakil. You'll find nobody who is more dependable nor will you find anyone who is ultimately as Capable as Him. It is important to also understand that He tests us in life. All of us. Sabr, and Tawakkul is very important for you now. Do lots of dhikr and read a lot of Qur'an. Especially Surat al Inshirah and Surat ad-Duha. When your parents fight say the "a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-Rajim" and don't get involved, if you must then beware that Allah is watching what you do so try to say and do what is best, if it is a must. Sometimes good things can come out of apparently has situations. I'm a witness to that and what you are telling me is reminds me a but of what happened in my childhood. At the End it is only Allah who can help us and He knows what is the best for us, and He knows what we conceal in our hearts.

Ruh (Arabic) may refer to the force from Allah, His authority, His power, His Angel Gabriel, His influence to the creation or simply the human spirit inside our body.
Just like Ruach(Hebrew) it is used in the Hebrew Bible with a lot meanings sometimes it refers to God, His angels, His influence to the Creations and His power.

Ruh ul quds and its association with hazrat jibreal is also a part of some islamic school of thought/s. In the quran the ruh ul quds is not used as a synonym to hazrat jibreal, it is used after or before his name which doesn't mean that hazrat jibreal is the ruh ul quds. It is a separate creation/being of which very little knowledge is given to us.

exactly that really weird , totally out of our faith, we believe eisaa is a normal human being and a messenger, i think what ruh here means that he is pure , what the man said in the video is that he is ruh of Allah that we can see and sense which is paganism just like Christians believe. (Nothing is like Allah that's what we believe )
he means that jesus is the only thing we know that god called al ruh and people interacted with in person ( seen + touch = sensed him)

As Rooh doesn't dies but every nafs every human being has to taste death.
