Children with special needs and those facing long-term illness face daily challenges. A United Methodist congregation in Ohio has found a way to empower these children and cover them, and their caregivers, in prayer. Kids Capes of Courage is a ministry that provides free, personalized superhero capes to children who need that extra boost of stamina, confidence and courage. “It is The United Methodist Church wrapping themselves around these children and saying ‘We love you! And, we want you to get better and we’re going to be here for you,’” says volunteer Tish Rowland.
