Honestly this is how they should handle the off-season, no contract signings, no draft, just have the teams play for players, the season should go Pre Season, Regular Season, Playoffs, NHL Imperialism and repeat all 32 teams looks drastically different each year and would cause some chaos as you go into next season with the roster you have after NHL imperialism ☠️
Edit: in order to fit it into the off-season it should be one game knock outs though

@@CanucksAreMyTeam1 i mean this is meant to be satire but realistically you would still need a draft so I'd say just hold the draft after the imperialism once the main rosters are set up for that season and say you cant take a player unless they have played a certain amount of games say 2 full seasons to keep it from getting too out if hand ig
