Inside Jeff Bezos Daily Routine

- Amazon founder and former-CEO Jeff Bezos is the richest person in the world at the time we’re making this video, with a net worth of about $190 billion. However, unlike some other billionaire CEOs, Bezos doesn’t believe in overworking himself. His secrets to success include getting 8 hours of sleep, waking up early, spending time with family, and essentially doing “nothing” for a few hours everyday. He does chores at home, makes breakfast for his kids, and only has about four very productive work hours each day.
Bezos says his performance peaks in the late morning and early afternoon-- science backs him up that these are typically the best times to work and make decisions. The billionaire knows himself well and avoids making thousands of small choices. Instead, he’s all about the big picture. His secret to success might just be how well he prioritizes his self-care and a system he calls “work-life harmony”-- a spin on work-life balance.
We can all learn something from how Bezos organizes his day. From “puttering” around in the morning to ending his days strictly at 5pm. Bezos has picked up the kind of habits that have helped him build a trillion-dollar company and gotten him to space. From his most productive hours and why he stepped down as Amazon CEO to his strange evening-dinner habits, this is how Jeff Bezos spends a typical work day. Click play to find out why he rejects the term “balance” and how you can set yourself up for success just like the world’s top billionaire.

Yeah no shit sherlock it's a day in hes life.
Not how to become a billionaire.

@@ryanleepilkingtoneastham1799 Calm down how did a YT comment upset you this much? 😭
Actually, he us dead on. Most billionaires sleep 4 hours a night for the first 20 years of their career, working 80 hours a week. He only gets this freedom now because he is well established.
@@ryanleepilkingtoneastham1799 Yea, most people watch this video and think this is how he lived his life the entire time.
As an Amazon warehouse employee, work-life-harmony is impossible to achieve when you don’t have the energy to stand in your days off.

Hi, without sounding offensive, what’s stopping you looking for another job? I’ve always said, if there is something in my life that I don’t like I will change it. You only live once. As long as you’re not breaking the law change what’s making you unhappy. 🙌🏻

He rejects overworking now that he’s made.
Ok Bezos, take this approach and apply it across your company. Four day work, 5-6 hours max a day. Prove thst your strategy of "work-life harmony" works!
Exactly lol.
@@ericimiwell he can do that but you will be paid for 6 hours 4 days a week lol.
Pp
For a company as big as Amazon, 4 days a week won’t do. That is unless he decided to hire more employees and create shifts for when who has to work. But this will be hectic for businesses.
I support working 4 days a week, but it also depends on what type of work you do.
And you want a part time check or a full time check?
The irony is that you can only do this once you have reached a level you are comfortable with.
You can watch old interviews of him and see that he has a relatively similar mindset about taking care of yourself first, working smart rather than bludgeoning yourself needlessly. To say that the only way to achieve success is to resort to mindless hours and "no pain no gain" is more of an excuse for mental laziness and to avoid critical thinking and planning. Ever since he was a quantitative hedge fund manager, he's taken a scientific, mathematical approach to life that few people seem willing to embark on in terms of both taking care of yourself pragmatically as well as figuring out the precise variables needed to achieve success. Usually the latter, if done accurately, does not require bludgeoning yourself. It does, however, require intelligence, education, and insight.
@@niarazu3883 Dude when will you guys learn... Picture this you are 18yo and forced to support yourself financially. You dont have experience, or meaningful qualifications yet. What do you do? Take it slow and chill? No you need a job if you dont wanna sleep on the street. More often than not in the shitty no qualification jobs you will be forced to work very hard or lose your job.

I’m so glad to hear that Bezos has time to putter and has work-life harmony. I’m sure his warehouse workers would love to have that kind of relaxation time.
I remember people talking about Jeff Bezos' keen interest in middle school boys in Bloomington, IN during the 1990s. The reason for his baldness is relatively apparent. Justin, housemate of Levi Thomas and Dana in Bloomington, IN in 2004 was stated as his nephew. Justin also hung around with Jason Graham and Kaylan Randolph at the time. Many of the bios on the web are fabrications and more closely resemble marketing. Apparently the world is satisfied with Bezos, Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, Chad Hurley and other good luck clowns.
Try work 3 years before you start complaining
@@keepthefaith9805 What are you talking about? I’ve worked over 5 years, I don’t work for Amazon, I don’t even work in a warehouse. I’m an electrical engineer actually, I work a nice, cushy office job. It’s just that some of us can do this thing called empathizing with other people.

He gets up early at 630. High school students:
He only says work-life harmony, because he never has to struggle with making enough money to pay the fucking bills. Of course he is all about harmony and relaxation, he is fucking rich! Let me give y’all some perspective: he makes $3,715 per SECOND. The average American only makes $3,714 per MONTH. So by the time you read this post, he has already made about $55,725. What takes you a month to make he literally makes in a second. So think about that next time you are busting your ass at work. This guy just made your ENTIRE months salary in a fucking SECOND.
I'm unemployed but it's honestly pretty inspiring.
Glad to see that he doesn’t wake up at 5am and spend 5 hours “working” at a coffee shop
I am an Amazon employee and I would like to have a few words with the big boss.
It's just terribly depressing to me that Bezos has such great "work-life harmony" and then almost all his employees in his warehouses seem to be worked to death.
They wanted to work there, not his fault
@@Destrised I'm not blaming him, I'm not saying it isn't right, I'm just simply stating it's depressing to me personally....
Just thinking about the huge contrast in lifestyle and difference of work-life balance of say the lowest level employee at an Amazon Warehouse and The Founder and Major Share Holder (Bezos) is just so huge and contrasting I find thinking about it depressing personally.
Bezos in charge of doing the dishes? Cmon
Jeff how long has it been since glass eye was put in
Perhaps why people say to work early is to get people started when they’re naive and work with random or variety of people:after people get older some people may get disgusted by many average jealous people and just want to keep a healthy distance with privacy. Or get elevated private offices with doors and walls.

Problem is, he has almost zero empathy and thinks the world should be about him.
For being a person with no empathy he is giving jobs to 1 million people and satisfying the needs of some other million citizens. So as far as we dont know him personally, the balance of his contributions seems positive..
@@clup3136 Amazon is not producing anything so all these 1 million jobs would be there if Amazon did not exist. And in reality amazon has caused more jobs to not exist by competition and other means to gain more control of the marked.

Bravo for Bezos people keep saying terrible things about this man but he seriously worked hard to get where he is. I doubt his intentions for people in the general mass is to help them instead of take from them. He’s successful and perhaps I’m naive but I don’t see him as a man with terrible intentions.
