@@markreams3192 trans cooler is large mated to the excellent F150 10spd tranny. The engine oil cooler is quite big too. This engine was made to perform & last. Full Synthetic SN+ rated oil (only) changed every 5kmis will get you 250k+ mis easy. Motorcraft filters only! Keep on truckin - Ohio USA.

Beautiful truck! I bought a loaded XLT FX4 crew cab a few mos ago after 1 test drive. It's so well done overall. The build quality is outstanding. Ford knows trucks. It feels like a tank w/solidity & pleasant (firm) plush ride that Chevy & Toyota cant match. The powertrain is WOW! 2.3L Ecoboost - RS rally race car engine (300hp w/93 octane!) mated to F150 transmission is superb. Great job Ford! My son wants one now👍🏆

test drove the 2019 Tacoma sr5 and then this in xlt. I cant see how anyone could pick the Toyota ?ford was faster smoother and had better driver view more leg room and better seat .I guess people give up comfort for expected longevity of the Toyota? anyways I bought the ranger paying almost 10k cheaper than this video price.

Agreed! The new Ranger has a solid firm feel that's screams excellent build quality. I proudly own a 19 XLT FX4 crew cab. 5k mis so far. Amazing truck. Powertrain is so far ahead of Chevy & Toyota. RS rally race car motor makes 300hp on 93 premium Ford engineers recently said. Do run only full synthetic SN+ rated motor oil an only Motorcraft filters oil & air. Change every 5k mis religiously it will last forever! Enjoy.

Still on the fence since your last Ranger vid, Mike. I do agree with the negatives, but the tech makes up for it. Seems so far no regrets from new owners. Mid size trucks are here to stay. If my old truck wasn't so darn reliable I think I'd jump off the fence and head down to Ford. Your vids are very helpful on decision making soooo, we'll see.
Edit: Update, bought one. Prices came down to a level where time to get serious. 1000 miles into it and no regrets. Mine's a sport coupe with a bed on the back I like to call it.

I used to think the same thing until I test drove an STX F150... truly felt like I was driving a 20 year old vehicle... no seat height adjustments, no heated seats, no leather wrapped wheel, very basic interior materials, and on and on... an equivalently equipped F150 to the XLT 302a Ranger was around 7000 more, even with close to 9k in discounts (this is canadian pricing)

Yes it only has 4 cylinder...but that 4 popper competes well with every other v6 engine it goes up against and if you drop in higher grade gas into it it will out perform even the Diesels such that are in the Taco and GM models.

Ehhh I mean a bit, it is probably a test truck and is being tested in MI. I haven't seen anything like that in mine, but that's my best guess.

@@willie9397 thanks for the clearification, also I found something interesting about the seat that pushes it back further; it has bump stops in place behind the back seat, took them out and it sits further back.

Still waiting for one interesting thing to be shown about this little pickup. First the looks are dull, looks like a 98 Taurus, small motor, this pickup will still be hauling leaves like its predecessor.

I don’t like it tbh because it’s too big for a “ranger” yet they complain about MPGs nowadays. and it don’t have its own classic non turbo engine. Front end looks like a fusion and Taurus, and the taillights are giant it was a fail in my opinion.

Seems like a half-hearted attempt at a mid-size truck from Ford. Interior looks like a truck from 15 years ago. No LED headlights? Colorado/Canyon/Tacoma/Ridgeline are better choices.
