I just loved this video. I struggle to with my feelings on personal flying versus the larger climate change agenda at the systems level, and you (and Roxanne and Kristen) really help articulate it. Always really appreciate how you constantly question personal decisions, test what your boundaries are, and continue to learn and share all things sustainability at the personal and systems level - you make tough topics accessible. I think of all your podcasts I have listened to so far, I liked the one with Willow the most. So inspiring and also practical, which I really appreciate. I also appreciate the thoughts you have about flying; I grapple a lot with this myself. Haven't flown for years... but there is definitely family I would like to visit. I also feel like my anxiety about it increases the longer the it takes for me to fly again (wish now I think of it makes sense as it is kinda basic exposure...

i found myself resonate with your sharing upon ending your trip in america. I think it's the people you met during the trip, those moments that were made with your friends and family at that given location, coffee shop, restaurant or simply at a conner of the streets had built up to the sentimental feeling you had before leaving the place. But you know, it's so nice to know that your people will still be there when you are back to NY or when you guys meet again anywhere else in the world. beautiful experiences will be created with them again and again. i'm just so happy and grateful for you! I'm sure that you had such an amazing trip that you will keep thinking about it for a while :)

Hi Venetia, would be interesting to know how you cope with your day to day anxiety and pre-flight panickyness. What's in your toolkit?
day to day, nothing out of the ordinary: lots of sleep and weekends away from my phone.
for flying: i listened to the 'fear of flying' podcast back catalogue to learn, i use the turbli app website to check for turbulence and i / max speak with the flight attendants if they haven't already asked if i'm ok.
Loved this video so much! My sister lives in Brooklyn and just told me that Little Choc Apothecary (my favourite when I visited too) has permanently closed down.... Google Maps confirms this :(

LOL at Max's little face popping up to cringe at your gua sha use. Pretty sure it's historical use in China is for quite intense skin scraping massage on the body, not the face at all. Its a more modern application that this tool is used for a lymphatic type message on the face as well and that's a very very gentle movement away from the centre of the face, and if that's not just great marketing then i don't know what is.... so honestly if you want to use it as a massage tool on your face and it feels good then crack on! Feel you on the fear of flying as well.... my partner is from LA and moved to Australia to live with me. 15hrs on the edge of my seat while he sleeps peacefully. The things we do for love ❤
