It's winter time so I'm officially in protective style mode for my 4C natural hair! So I decided to install crochet hair using marley hair, and style the crochet braids with a flexi rods. It came out looking extremely fluffy, soft and natural. WARNING: This style is not for the faint of heart! It took forever to do and didn't last me that long.... But it was cute though!

We wash and condition Marley hair with really cheap (dollar tree type) products and lightly brush it. This softens the hair significantly. Thx for the tutorial, I can't wait to try this style.
Are you washing and conditioning the hair before crocheting it in or after it's installed on your hair??
Secondly is there a 4C type hair that does not tangle like the Marley that you know of??

Do the detangling /co-washing before installing.

Girl. I have TRIEEEEED to do this style years ago and I feel your extreme pain. This marley hair is no joke and each section literally takes like 15-30 mins. I didn’t even end up finishing cause my arms were done and I was tiiiiiiied! I really wanted to cry. Kudos to your for getting through it lol. The parts I did get done looked so beautiful but lawd, I cannuh!

Your hair came out really well! I would suggest maybe using a leave in when you were brushing the hair out the first time or doing that before you install the hair. Also, I would say take down the flexi rods in a more spiral motion to get a more popping curl :)

You can use the wand curl and fluff it out. The hair I used that came this way I don't see it anymore 😢. I guess they were brushing for ever too and gave up
😂 I don’t blame them lol. I was afraid a curling wand might burn the hair but might have to try that next time

If you ever do it again they have a hair that is already that is similar to it already formed. I will look it up and post it I used it once before

Sydni C there are things you can apply to the hair to make it softer. BUT I wouldn’t be using my normal expensive products that I use on my natural hair lol. I’d get some dollar store smell good stuff
