Read the Steam numbers wrong: average player count for November wasn't 1227, it was down by 1227, average was even worse at 963...
Fun fact about Nurburgring GP: considering the game is promoted as "built from the ground up", it's funny the track model is from at least 2009 when it was introduced in Forza 3. Turn 4 is the giveaway: the banking on the inside of the corner has never existed in real life nor in any other game, it has however existed since Forza 3 when the track first appeared in the series.

I bet Forza still has the brake and FFB bug too where below a certain speed brakes don't work and nor does FFB.
I've played EVERY Forza game aside from Horizon 5 and Motorsport... Such a shame to see the franchise basically died after FM4. Still love FM2 and have good memories from it... Tragedy really because Forza as an IP before FM5 was stellar, like genuinely, probably the best IP Xbox had pound for pound. Now though, it's just hollow... Kinda makes me sad... So easy to fix the game too if they had someone with passion at the helm KNOWING what the fans wanted and knowing what's wrong with the game

I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but Forza's biggest problem for me personally is the whole game feels... hollow, empty, or soulless. There isn't really anything trying to keep me playing other than just chasing numbers and going for podiums over and over. Buy a car, drive around in circles, race with it, repeat. Yes that is the requirements for being a racing game i know, but it just feels.. cold.

Even Forza Motorsport 5 had passion somewhat, I mean look at the forza vista in that game. 7 and 6 introducing new things like weather, there was passion there too, 360 titles, don’t get me started. Forza Motorsport 8? We get ray tracing, okay nice! Full 24 hours of dynamic weather. So better lighting and times of day. They messed that up ☠️☠️☠️☠️.

I think my biggest problem is that there's been absolutely no acknowledgement of the games issues asside from generic bug fixes each update.
The social channels just keep pumping out announcements of limited time content, the last thing this game needs.
It reminds me of halo infinite, what's supposed to be a reboot ends up screwing up the tech, the core gameplay has great potential, but the content is lacking and unpolished. At least 343 admitted their mistake early on, it's been radio silence from Turn 10

Many T10 defenders over the years have said they communicate poorly because MS keeps a leash on them, but another MS studio, Undead Labs, does a good job communicating so I don't see how that could be the case.
The guys and gals at Undead Labs do patch release streams where they go down the list of every patch note while playing the game showing the changes, and discussing what the changes are in detail and what the goal of the change was and how they will monitor the change going forward for further adjustments. They also answer questions from the live chat, and if there is a bug or an issue they acknowledge it, and often explain where they are at with fixing it and a way to avoid it until another patch can be put out.
Meanwhile with T10, we have desync issue going on right now causing other cars to disappear off your screen in multiplayer so you can be ramming someone and not even know it, but they haven't said a word about it and we are left hoping "maybe the January patch will fix it?" The issue has existed since launch though, and was actually made worse in the December update, so I guess we are the idiots for hoping.

To me, it appears that this Forza was made by someone not passionate about motorsport. Every Forza, from 1 to 4, had something that defined it. You could feel the JDM/F&F culture of the first two games, or the Top Gear approach of 4. This one feels empty.

I started on Forza Motorsport 3. The thing that initially kept me in the game was infected / king of hill, etc. They've completely removed it from the game.
They ruined the game mode in Forza horizon 5 by giving shitty off-road tracks that aren't even fun to play in. It removes the aspect of skill.
The people they have making the content in these games have no passion for the game and it's obvious. They don't know what people like and they assume that lower player count for the game modes is because the game mode isn't interesting, but the reality is they poorly implemented it in recent games so it sucks to actually play it when the game mode itself is EXTREMELY addicting in previous titles.

Unfortunately, that's how most games feel these days. Of course there are still good single-player games. But many of them have recently been given a multiplayer mode that gets all the attention. Forza Horizon had a good single-player mode until 3. Since then it's been dumbed down more and more to put more time into the multiplayer. Another example is Test Drive Unlimited. 1 and 2 had tonnes of single-player content. The new instalment looks like there's no single-player at all...

What worries me about Forza Motorsport is that if they continue down the same path that the multiplayer is broken and the penalties are also broken, in the end 90% of the players will lose. The problem with companies isnt that they dont think "users dont use mush beacuse he had not enough, we need do better", they think \"nobody likes motorsport anymore, lets go cash all in in horizon and leave motorsport in some archive somewhere in seattle"

@@benn87 I do agree that the Constant dump of Cars does not make the Game better, Especially as the way they are Added ties into one of the Biggest Problems of the Mike Brown era, the Disgusting Use of FOMO mechanics (Seriously, FOMO Mechanics need to be made *illegal* IMO!) in order to drive up Gamepass Numbers, and I can only hope the Sudden Upsurge in DLC that has come under Torben is a sign FH6 is going to Drop the FOMO Nonsense and go back to the Old Model of "Straight to Autoshow" for Returning Cars and Paid DLC for New To Forza Cars, Granted It means the Game is going to Be Ludicrously Expensive, it always is when DLC based, but I will take Paid DLC over FOMO any day of the Week! and the Game, indeed, is NOT going to feel anything other than a *Chore* at times unless the FOMO Nonsense is thrown down the Garbage Chute, but, outside of the Chore Chart, it is Improving.
Where the Game has been Improving is in the Vastly more imaginative use if the "evolving world" Feature (Just a Shame that the Mexican Government will not allow many of the Additions, such as the Neon Air-Strip, to be Permanent :( ), the complete Re-Do of Event Lab, the Multiple Bug Fixes, the Additions of Community most Wanted Features such as a Permanent Extension to the Night Cycle, More Apex Road Races, better Anti Cheat Implementation, the Festival feeling a lot more "Present" in the "Evolving world" Editions, Better music on the new Stations, Less...Wokeness (it is still there due to some of it being baked right into the core mechanics such as the Character Editor (Seriously, Torben, if you ever read this, and if the Core Code even allows it, Kindly Patch out the Pronouns and add a Gender Lock to the Cosmetics Please, the things they Promote have been proven in a *court of British Law* to be Harmful to Children, so they really do not belong at a PEGI 3/ESRB E at the end of the Day.) but it is nowhere near as Highlighted as it once was in the (Sadly still abysmal) Dialogue, thank goodness) Etc, the Fact it feels like there is a Gamer in Charge again, and not an Out of Touch and Clueless Corporate Suit!
Not only is the Team becoming increasingly more Imaginative, more Competent (the Game is getting a lot less Buggy, and when a Bug does occur (such as the "constant winter cutscene loop" bug) it gets patched a Lot Faster, is listening more to the Community, adding more Community Requests, at least those that work with the Increasingly Elderly Graphics Engine, and what they can get past the ever shrinking Budget from Microsoft, the Downright Hostile Car Companies many of whom do not want to be in Games *at all* anymore as they are worried that Gaming is Damaging their PR Images and are looking for any Excuse to Remove their Licenses, and most Importantly, the ESRB/PEGI (Sadly, many of the Requests would up the Age Rating, making them no Go.) and the Game feels like it is in the Hands of a Passionate and Motivated Team that wants to Work on it, It no longer feels like its being made by a Burned out and Demoralized Team just going through the Motions like it did during the Peak of the Mike Brown Malaise. It just feels like its in Safe Hands again for the First Time since FH3. That Feeling is a massive Improvement on what we had, when it felt like it was in the Hands of a Team that did not even care anymore, and a Lead without even the Slightest Idea what he was doing.
It Gives hope that, so long as Torben was Sensible, Scrapped Browns Vision for 6, Implemented his own, and moved the Action from Communist China (just No! I have Boycotted TDUSC over it being set in Communist China and will do the Same for FH6 if it is set there, Communist China has *Far* too much Blood on its Hands for me to ever accept it as a Viable Location outside of the Game "doing a Flight Simulator" and going Global!) to Europe, FH6 may actually be a Truly Great Game like the First 3 Titles were!
We never had that Hope under Brown, and the fact it is there now, is a Massive Improvement!

As a player idc if I’m the only one but I love this game. The leveling up of the cars is the best thing for me as it makes me actually enjoy them. I switched over to the Xbox when FH3 came out because I loved the idea of an open world game. Over time time I realized that I was only playing to not drive but to collect the new cars for the month and it’s very prevalent in FH5 where now I dread playing it because it feels like a chore just to get the new car to just sit in my garage and to only drive it when I need to. Motorsport makes me work for the car and in turn I appreciate the cars more as I level them up. The time segments in practice are really fun for me and ofc are great to level up my cars. I understand that when you start from scratch you will run into problems but the community seems to be blind to that. They just want cars handed to them and I hate that because theirs no reason to get them or use them. In Motorsport when a car gets gifted to you via car pass or series your reason to drive it is to unlock the parts so that it’s better, but everyone just wants to buy the parts which yes is convenient but when I download a tune it’s a one time thing. Maybe players are lazy nowadays but take away the bug problems and mechanical problems, this is by far the best racing game I’ve played since Gran Turismo 6, and that’s the greatest racing game to me imo

The reason to drive the cars is enjoying driving and racing cars, not some little XP bar to fill up and if that's the only thing that makes you drive then you are probably playing the wrong genre of game.
Suggesting that people are lazy because they don't want to grind in their video game is one of the dumbest arguments you can make for something that is supposed to be a form of recreation.
I appreciate cars that are fun to drive, and cars that I get to race competitively with other people. Making me grind to put parts on the car to make it fun to drive (if it didn't drive nice stock or whatever) and to make it competitive does not make me like the car more, and I'm pretty sure I'm not at all alone in that.

I wanted to buy Forza Motorsport but the 'Mostly Negative' rating on Steam is extremely hard to gain and even harder to ignore, all 3 Forza games are still good on my XBOX 360 but I question my use of the word 'good'. Why? I haven't 100% completed any Forza game other than the original Forza Motorsport on the first XBOX and I've bought four Forza games (and yet Turn 10 have made the new game even harder??!?).
So I have zero reason or incentive to get the latest game, making the new game even harder to complete was totally unwarranted, then there are technical issues. Turn 10 will either learn from their mistakes or vanish.

I wanted to like this game, I really did. To me personally, I feel FM7 was better. FM7 kept me coming back playing. FM8 is doing the exact opposite, things that do that is the multiplayer/hopper lobbies, same customization we had for YEARS!, leveling of cars, tracks, buggy and unfinished game. There's more that I can't think of at the moment. In total from launch, I played the game a total of 1hr 15minutes. This is what happens when you don't please the players and only please the developers. They need something really big or game changing for me to come back.

Although I’ll check Forza at every monthly update, for now I basically lost interest in FM.

Terrible car progression system, lack of hopper lobbies for A class and S class, also qualifying and practice for said lobbies, huge disparity in AI pace are just a few things that have really put me off of this game. I’ve always been a quick driver who’s loved hopping into A class or S class lobbies and fighting at the front - used to spend hours in lobbies using different cars for different tracks but have lost all motivation to play this game now. Such a let down, was so excited for this game being someone who’s played every Forza since FM2

Even liking their driving phisics I absolutely call this game a disaster, everything else is broken. They don't even have actual tyre wear because the tyres of both sides of the car always degrade by the same amount no matter the track.
I gave the game it's fair chance, but it failed hard. Super Woden GP 2, that is a tiny game made to look like a granturismo for the SNES, has a better carrer mode and better AI in their game. If that doesn't put in perspective how much of a failure this game is, nothing will.

T10 is never going to learn, They screwed up the launch of FM5 by having a complete shambles of content. While the game (imo) was great and still has the best looking tracks and imo is the best looking, It lacked so much car content it was pretty much pointless to buy.
Then they brought out FM6. Hitting the perfect amount of cars and track for a launch title and giving us a good chunk of content post launch. Sure missing some features that we demanded from FM4 at the time but it was a solid title and it was evident with the league community. Overall almost an FM4 game just missing out due to missing content.
FM7 launched like a wet fart, Horrible launch performance, Missing content NO CLASS LOBBIES and it never recovered. We got a good couple of car DLC's but almost all of them were filled with shitty SUV's or trucks that no one EVER wanted other than dogshit rammers in public lobbies. League racing still strived and offered a lot of good stuff for those that are part of that community. However T10 went completely radio silent on almost all issues with the game, Taking them almost a year(?) to admit defeat with their shitty class system they "built" and brought back class lobbies as it should have been there from day 1. But they remained radio silent on all other stuff.
FM23 has launched in a complete dogshit state, From inconsistent graphical fidelity, False advertising and horrible performance, to the god awful dogshit level system that only exists so the higher ups at T10 can show player retention being higher than FM7, Which seems to have completely backfired on them. T10 however? Has been completely radio silent about all of it. They were so damn active before it's launch, Chris Esaki was active on twitter answering several questions about the game but now he's completely radio silent about the game.
The level system has completely ruined any attempt to host league events (i think), If you want to host anything other than a 1 make series you'll need to spend upwards to 30+ hours grinding individual cars for the series depending on how many you want to include. Then another 10+ just to figure out a decent set of build rules etc. This was never an issue in previous titles.
It's clear that who ever the hell the T10 higher ups are trying to appease has absolutely no clue how video games work and only see $$$$$$ in their eyes. This game is doomed to be a complete marketing failure and i'd be COMPLETELY impressed if it even reaches the cost to make in earnings. There is simply no way in hell this game does.
This is also supposed to be an 10+ year game. They expect this game to have a fanbase for 10+ years. I'll be god damn impressed if this game even lasts for another 3 years before we get FM23.2 with all the issues we have pointed out fixed. This game is a failure, and it will remain a failure until T10 themselves admits to it publicly.
T10 is a failure of a company, A long forgotten company that used to make fantastic games. Now they are shell of what they used to be. I spit in the face of the higher ups at T10. They are completely stupid.

Im a Forza "fanboy". Ive played everyForza since FM2 religiously. But when it comes to FM 2023 the only positives I say is I love the way it feels on controller once you get past the crazy understeer, and the car list is pretty good. Thats where my positives end, the game has nothing to play for, doesn't have any character, no cone events, no silly game modes, no drag mode, no challenge mode or any "love" really put into the game. This became extremely apparent after I recently purchased a PS5 and GT7. Within 5 minutes of booting up GT7 I felt the love and passion Forza used to have. I couldn't pit the controller down on GT7, there was so much to do. GT7 has racing, rally, cafe events, license tests, missions, and so much more. The economy sucks and the car roster feels lacking, amd the roulette reward is a scam, but overall ive had 100x the fun on GT7 as I have on FM. Its sucks, I much prefer FMs driving physics compared to GT7, but GT7 is actually fun to play, I actually have things to aim for on GT7 and the game has so many small details like turning headlights on and off, honking, painting roll cages, a livery system where you can actually interact with the community, and so much more. All Forza had to do was have a standard career mode, and I'd still be playing it, and AI that wasn't playing wreck fest unless it's in 1st place. Also, not having Nordschleife in at launch is ridiculous to me, that track alone would keep me playing for weeks on rivals mode, but no, gotta have stupid live service content. In conclusion, this Forza fanboy will be playing GT7 for the time being, im sure FM will be great a few years from now, like Halo Infinite, but for now, it's just a soulless game with nothing to encourage you to play.

Fun and comradery was always the thing that made ppl want to come back.
Forza 4 was (almost) a perfect concept.
Clubs, club garage, super easy to join friends and club members online even in private lobbies,
Decent single player career mode, and no upgrade unlock system, so you could test and max out any car instantly.
Watching and sharing of (clips) replay was easy and great for content creators.
And that content attract more players. That is a positive loop that gives the game a strong community and long live.
Now, no clubs, no replays (GT Lobby) no way to join friends easy, no lobby system, terrible unlock system ect ect.
All in all a lot less fun..
On top of that the artificial stuff like aerowash for the leading car, or the game changing your spring setting each time you jump to the next race and/or change tires makes the racing (cars/tune) unreliable and therefor less fun.
Consistency is key in racing and if you can not trust the car (settings) due to the game mechanics and structure...
Then what is left? It could be such a great game because the core is strong (IMO) but the way they managed to "influence" the game and gamers for whatever reason is destroying what was left of the game and community.
Many moved on and likely will not come back. We saw a similar fall out with previous FM titles.
And instead T10 learning from it, they continue that self destructing path.
GT is really good, i can see why super GT does not do Forza so much, because it is that much better and more fun.

This is my first Forza so I can't directly compare it to other previous versions. but one thing I will say - within my longevity in racing games - that despite the very beautiful graphics and such, other than that, it doesn't hold a candle to a racing game that I loved most of all time: TOCA Race Driver from 2002 It was my first semi-arcade racing game with a career story mode that made me fall in love on the first day with the iconic sound of the classic band Lynyrd Skynyrd with the wonderful Sweet Home Alabama playing in the background in the interactive menu inside the trailer... There were others Golden times that, although they didn't have the same effects and ultra-realistic graphics as today, had the soul of creators who were passionate about what they were doing.
So far I thought it was an ok game. It is challenging both for those who are starting out in the world of racing games and for the equipment they are running, because with the minimum requirements you realize how much graphical processing and CPU overhead it consumes to present a game that has done the basics of basic in a multi-million dollar triple A.

The issue with all recent Forza titles is how the games yield revenue. I can't be precise, but a decent guesstimate would be that 70% of all game purchases are in the first month after release. So the downside to making a half-arsed bug-riddled game is not as severe as we might imagine. Most of the money has already been banked, and game pass players won't care if the title fails to live up to expectations, they'll just shift their time to another title. Okay, this pattern of revenue is true of most games but Forza attracts the more casual gamer and racing games are still niche compared to, say, COD. In fact, plenty of sales followed by a tiny player base to manage is the dream scenario. It means maintaining and managing the game doesn't have to be a huge priority.
The formula is simple: plenty of pre-release publicity, paid-for positive reviews from publishing companies who need the advertising revenue, followed by a slew of sales to gamers hoping the latest iteration will match expectations. Drip feed updates and patches until the next release, then rinse and repeat the above because players will always hope the next version will be better and will always be prepared to pay to find out...

They've just dropped the budget on the motorsport and are putting all the good people on developing horizon, despite that actual innovation on racing will happen on motorsport and not the super arcade-y horizon mode.

Have to do a silly amout of races without upgrading to get them.. and why do some race cars not come with race tyres as standard, like most of the group 5 cars, what do they think they raced on ? Street tyres. . . Don't really bother with it much anymore, not interested in any of the new cars they are adding as there is sod all the use them for. . Something i noticed was the percentage on the achievements. I just looked the one that says reach level 50 on 30 cars and noticed it's only 0.13% of players. Not only that one but there are several that have much lower percentages than what you'd expect. Even the multiplayer percentages that I'd expect would be higher (and are higher by far) are still lower than i expected. All they'd have to do to fix the single player game is unlock all the upgrades, and make car points universal. Then they'd just have to keep adding tracks as fast as possible. That's it. That's all they'd have to do. After another 12 to 15 tracks and the car points system being fixed and there you go. Well... not quite, but at least it'd be on the right track. The AI needs to be fixed. The penalty system needs to be fixed. But at least it wouldn't feel like a useless grind.

That's the issue. Not race. Drive. It is a great hot lap game, sure, the trying to string together sectors on a hot lap is great when the car and track work well together. But those great combos are few and ar between an I don't have the patience to try every car on one track, to find out what cars work great with a track, then move on to the next one, and th the next one, an so on.
That's my biggest issue. Spa in a 962C, Laguna Seca in the 962C when it kicks sideways at the top o the Corckscrew, with the tires spinning up then the run down the hill? That is when it is working great, when it is fun. Spaa shines in almost everything, Lime Rock in a mid class car is a ton of fun.
But there's tracks that are just boring and make me not want to run them. eagle Rock, Hakone, and Yas Marina, the latter being the worst one on the list. It looks dull and boring on TV, it is soulless to play.

While I agree with the vst majority of what you said, I will push back on one thing, that being the lack of competitiveness in the multiplayer hoppers. I did an experiment, and joined and left lobbies 5 straight times in less than 2 minutes. I ended up in 5 different lobbies, 4 of them being brand new. Given it only takes a couple minutes for lobbie to fill, at least in the GT/TC lobbies, that is plenty of players alone to create a competitve lobby, not counting all the players that could oin over a 25-30 minute period. Matchmaking simply doesn't work. It fills lobbies too fast, but I also suspect something else. When you build a multiplayer group, your rating gets inflated. 4999 group rating is the norm even with a wide range of individual player ratings. If this happens in lobbies, it won't really know where to put you. Regardless of the actual reason, as it could just be it fills them too fast, lobbies are effectively entirely random. If I join a lobby at 4999 at lobby open, I'm guarunteed to be in a different lobby to another 4999 player that joins 2-3 minutes later, 10 minutes later, 15 minutes later, or at the end of the join period.
Also, 9 of the top 20 requested cars are LMDH/Hypercars, and 4 GT3 cars. Almost all of them are race cars of some sort of race car. The lack of spec lobby racing and rivals in single player is a travesty for those who prefer spec racing.

I stopped playing because on both PC and my Xbox Series X i faced the same graphics issues with huge frame rate slow down after a couple races, and twxtures popping in and out. It was super distracting. Plus it didnt feel like there was any real progression in the game. Like someone said above. It feels hollow. No real sense of accomplishment.

The game just doesn't have anything going for it. If you're serious about sim racing ACC is really inexpensive, and if you're into fun racing with a good career FM is not your best choice

I think if they showed that they cared about making it up to the players I would still be playing. But they clearly don't seem to think anything is terribly wrong. We're still just getting the normal monthly schedule of haphazard and untrustworthy patch notes. That's what I'm tired of the most. I spent the first 2 months submitting bug reports and not a single one ever showed up on the known or fixed issues list. Apparently even if you do their job for them, it doesn't lead to anything. It really is tiresome.

What’s sad is that all the media and community disappointment and backlash from GT7’s launch got the developer to respond and promise changes. It’s like no one even cares about Forza Motorsport the same way.

SuperGT and other prominent CZcamsrs only made videos on the multiplayer side of Forza and how bad it was, Turn 10 listened to this and concentrated on making multiplayer better, which arguably they have, but neglected the rest of the game which the majority of people who played the game actually played which is single player. We’ve now got a game that is hollow with no drifting, no drag racing, no fun events and no Don JoeWon Song videos.

Huge part is none of the cars are really competitive in multiplayer until around level 30 so you’re playing for hours leveling a car up just to race then you have to wait 20 mins to get into a game

The issue with me is how fast I get uninterested in playing the game since starting it up. The truth is there simply is not much to do outside of grinding the career championships and participating in the cycled multiplayer races. It doesn’t help that the game still has pages of issues from day 1 of its release, some of these issues that were stated to have been fixed in prior patches and updates but haven’t. Frankly I think we were promised a product and were given something that is completely not that promised product.

This feels like a nightmare. You wait so long for a game to be released only to find out is just bad. I didn't play Forza Motorsport 4, but from videos looks a lot more fun than this. And the new motorsport game looks.... weird, like the colours are washed out, something with the lighting. The menu looks like it's from a mobile game, it's too simple. Maybe the multiplayet is good, but the whole game is not really a true "forza motorsport" as we once knew.

  • @xXScarhandXx
    @xXScarhandXx Před 8 měsíci +1

The main problem is the “carPG” rubbish. I’m pretty certain that no one in the forza community ever asked for such a bad game mechanic. It’s killed all the freedom the series had, I used to be able to pick any car in the game an have it ready to race in minutes but now it takes hours, and it has drastically changed any community events that are setup because it adds dozens of hours to the creation of ballanced cars/series. Most people don’t want to be grinding car levels just so they can participate, and anyone who wants to join late can’t because they don’t have the car points to have a setup on said car.
This goes for the normal multiplayer modes as well, if you want to use a car in a specific class that’s running that week you first need to grind the car for a few hours to get enough car points to make it competitive or you’ll just be getting lapped by the front runners. The lack of multiplayer choice is also a big reason why there are fewer people regularly playing because they don’t want to be racing X class monsters or what ever is on offer, so they just don’t play until a class they want to race open. I hope in a future update T10 open all the classes again in regular multiplayer all the time.
Also, where have all the features gone that the previous titles had. No stats for cars or lifetime race stats, not able to set a manual grid in private lobbies, 80% of the multiplayer lobbies locked or just removed, replays don’t save, no spectator mode, car clubs (FM4's best feature that was removed), multiplayer leaderboards. The list goes on.
It took over a year to make FM7 decent so I’m expecting the same with this one as well.

I've become more and more disillusioned with the Forza franchise and it's nothing like Forza 2 that I originally played and became infatuated with. This is the first Forza game I've not bought and have played via gamepass. It's a massive disappointment for me, from the buggy multiplayer at launch, lack of content to be drip-fed later and a boring career mode. The leveling system is my biggest issue, I like to use tunes from the start not gradually add part by part - on every single car.
You can fix bugs but you can't fix boring.

Whats the point of upgrading my car if the computer just upgrades at the same car. Again build my car for what exactly?? How is there no replys? No stats? In 2023?

This is the first game that I ever bought through steam that I demanded my money back. VERY SAD for this to be the case, because I set my calendar to this release. I waited for this title for YEARS!! It was my first love. I have since become quite the SIM Racing enthusiast. Nothing serious, but a G29 wheel setup with GTLite Next Level Racing Frame Pedals SHifter etc. Its a great little set up with my PC. The performance optimization was SO BAD. I couldnt let them keep my money with a clear conscience.

I've deleted it entirely since every loading before a race is infinite after reinstall and cache verify. Just unable to physically play the game. Which solves my original issue of not even wanting to play the game anyway. The newest game in the franchise ive spent almost the same amount of time in as Minecraft. Collectively well over 10k hours.

Ive been asking myself whether is my own gaming fatigue of driving games. Ive been playing these games all the way back since GT1 on the PS1. Or is this game actually boring!
The level progression on the cars just feels so repetitive. Come the end of one of these tournaments, i am bored. The progression system is too slow. Why not give extra X.P for doing the practice mode. Or many give double points for setting pole position. Some incentive to make practice mode feel like a bloody chore!
How about double X.P if you set the fastest lap during racing. It would make the races a bit more interesting.
Sort out the driver AI. It's either Mr Bean or Aryton Senna, is so frustrating at times.
Or how about just letting people tune up their cars with their credits, instead of the points system.

Forza killed itself, I have played it from V1 on Xboxes and used a wheel/pedals and that was seriously difficult to set up. And there's the f-ing problem, I hoped they would have learned and at least gave it a good try to make it playable for Wheels and Pedals. but they have failed miserably, it not even close to a sim. I have gone PC since 6 months and invested serious money to have a good time on AMS2, rF2, Iracing and well did give Forza a go but it was not anywhere near playable with wheels and pedals.
Thanks to Steam for refunding my money.
Forza sucks, they have murdered it completely it should be at least close to a sim, and fairly playable with wheels and pedals but it is not. Steam should remove it from their section of racing sims, and warn its is just a game to play with a controller and it is a waste of money for those who want to use it with wheel and pedals just for a little fun driving.
At least Steam knows to refund, and I have invested that money into AMS2, and thats fun and worth the money.
Now lol, Steam why can't I buy Iracing upgrade packs via you yet? That could make you easy money from me, and I am sure not from me alone LOL
