Ah, the days of local video stores, big box horror, renting 5 for 5 dollars and trying to stay up until morning at a friends house to get through them all!
Camp Video! Vestron! Media HE! Wizard!
Nostalgia... overload...
I remember the Vestron Video logo on my old unrated VHS of Re-Animator.Great stuff!
The Vestron logo is my favorite. It really sounds like something from some cheap old science fiction flick.
Most of these distributors merged into Sony, FOX, MGM and lionsgate.
after watching all these great logos from the 80's ,i kinda miss Vhs ..VESTRON and MEDIA were probably the two companies that cranked out the most stuff back in the day when just about any movie you wanted was out on VHS ,cant say the same for DVD ..DVD Distributors are slow movers in releasing older films ,but 'i'll give ANCHOR BAY a big hand ,,at least they are making a effort to put out titles that use to be on MEDIA ,such as FADE TO BLACK ,HELL NIGHT and others

Man I remember seeing the Media logo on the ORIGINAL Nightmare on Elm Street vhs..Thanks for posting, as it brings back great memories..
im so thankful people put these together. just amazing to be able to see all of these in one place without having to hunt each one down.
The Paragon Video logo was used for "Jaws of Death" starring Richard Jaeckel which featured ten minutes of trailers at the beginning.
The old Vestron logo takes me back. I've got tons of those videos.
In fact I've got at least one tape from all those companies. But where's Thriller Video?
what was it about laser beams and flashing lights and whizzing stars in space that 80s logos had to have in them? was it a sign of pure (cough!) quality?
Still, i love em.
the "usa" video logo beginning at 1:39 has a "sexy-scary" quality to it
Movies stopped being movies in 1990. Since then there have been a few good exceptions BUT the 70s and 80's and the year 1990 were where it was at!
Those FBI warnings use to freak me out as a kid in the 80's......LOL
CAMP VIDEO.... Your Ticket To The Future!
Gotta love it!
*ALTHOUGH THEY APPRECIATED THEIR ERA A LOT MORE!*
Thanks for sharing!
*12 LOGOS IN ALL!*
VESTRON VIDEO!
I saw the Paragon Video logo on my copy of Just Before Dawn!
the EMBASSY logo at .43 brings back memories!
Dang it! I thought Bryanston Pictures was gonna be on this list!
Last night, I had a dream that Paragon Video Productions lived on to have a 10th anniversary logo.
0:48 DAYYYUUUUMMMMM
awsome.
thank you!
2:24, that too for my Video Treasures print of Mystic Pizza and my 1988 copy of Fear that i used to have.
2:34 Wizard Video logo is what I should use In the fourth Part Of Kenan and Evan Get Judged by the Gaiden Council.
Oh yes, you're very right, my apologies. The tape I meant to say is Rocktober Blood.
@gothicmetalfreak PARAGON released NEW YEARS EVIL on vhs, and to this day thats the only way you cant find ''NEW YEARS EVIL , so far no DVD companies have made any effort to release it
RAD ! Thanks for this !
i remember the trailer for alien was at the end of ALIENS , it said STAY WHATCHING TILL THE END OF THE MOVIE FOR THE ALIEN TRAILER
still waiting for part 2 ...
So do I!
I sorta expected Hikon Films.
Judging by the music in the Wizard Video logo, I thought Mr. Roboto was about to start!
Classic!
I've seen the Embassy one on This is Spinal Tap. Also, I've got a few Vestron tapes, and I have that Virgin logo on "Morons from Outer Space".
Amen!
Ностальгия аж прошибает!
Logo #5 was Also Used on Mannequin (1987; Romantic Comedy; Rated PG).
What happened to Academy Entertainment, Magnum Entertainment, Camp Video, and Paragon Video?
2:15, i have that logo in my 1987 print of Strike Force with Charles Bronson, i think it was the title.
What happened to Part II?
01:38 so awesome!!
+Die, Master Monkey (Die, Master Monkey) Its Medium, and it was scary.
U.S.A. Home Video! Yes that one is Awesome.
1:38 pure awesome
And that Media logo looks pretty weird. What the heck does "MEDA" mean?
*ME-D-A (media)*
I like Dragon Blue Z
1. Uh, you might wanna turn your volume down if you're wearing headphones/earbuds. This video has made me a victim of ear rape.
2. You forgot Media when it was Meda.
3. Anyone have the Harmony Vision logo?
2:01, there was a another version without the sound effects
It says it’s part 1. Where are the rest?
OMG what a jewel you have here, any chance to upload it on hi res?
Does anyone know where to find a complete film listing of said distributors?
Internet, Wikipedia (uh Duuh)
I've noticed this is in alphabetic order...Nice
OWW MY FUCKING ERS LOUD AS SHIT
1:59-2:13 Programadora de TV POLISH
2:14-2:20 Programadora de TV RUSO
2:21-2:32 Programadora de TV INDONESIA
I don’t think the Paragon Video logo is scary.
Hmph! Should've be Rated R for that brat of 80's Horror Movies! Please don't comment on me! I don't want to get cyber bullying comments! I'm uncomfortable!
