    Grey makes for a good looking Clod Buster

      Definitely...this and the original are probably my favorites. Like your Orange and white one...looks cool on the Clod too. Thanks for watching!

    To start with all the colors look plastic which they are, so the first thing is to paint or die all the visible parts add after market dampers and do the body in warmer colors and of course a complete set of FastEddie sealed ball bearings. Ya that's a good start.

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 8 měsíci

      Haha yes, always bearings! The gray definitely looks better than some of the other colors, but yeah, it all looks very plastic. I have seen some really cool builds though.

    Oil shocks and ball bearings would be awesome to drive!

      I haven't driven one with oil shocks, probably much better...and yes! It should come with bearings also. Thanks for watching!

    Cool looking Clod. Not available in the EU and I found no distributor who ships overseas to the EU. But I treat you to this beautiful car. Have fun 🤘😎

      That's a shame, I'm sure they will make their way over there somehow...maybe ebay?

    I for sure have to have one! I wonder why they mold it in grey, if they say paint it grey? The Clod Buster will never die as long as people like us are around. I Just subscribed

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +2

      Absolutely! Well said. I think the TS48 "Gunship Gray" is slightly darker and metallic looking...also if you scratch the paint you would still have gray underneath, so it wouldn't look as bad. Thank you for Subscribing!

      @@eekrc ok would you still put a coat of primer are just paint over the grey body? I’m trying to decide if I’ll paint mine or just leave it like the box art, kind of like the box art to be honest .

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +1

      @@brianwood9849 good question, the correct way to do it is to sand down the hard body, use primer, wet sand that smooth, then paint. You can use gray primer too.

      Thanks Craig, how do you think it would do with your time trials? I'm sure it would be the slowest...at least it would look slow. Thanks for watching!

    58518 blue clod is the best and beautiful one to me.
    It will be the best if it has got the chevi bowtie grill & chevi body. Chrome parts look gorgeous to blue one...
    I wish tamiya to relese white edition next. body and wheels should be white. Front grill and 8 dampers should be black. It may look awesome more then i think.
    And also why they didnt relese super clod buster xb, s-xa, rtr editions yet ?
    Do u know something about that ?

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem

      That sounds awesome, I'm sure you can build one like that! They probably didn't release a RTR because the box would be huge and hard to ship, and take up a lot of shelf space in hobby shops.

  • @jaredsayrc4947
    @jaredsayrc4947 Před rokem

    They need to renew their chevy so they can release the bow tie grill I personally love the Clod buster that why I built two Clod buster but I have two TL01 two hpi sprint two trx4 blazer two scx10 two trx6 Ultimate Hauler two lunchbox two WLP D12 two RedCat Monte Carlo two redcat Impala

    It’s not the best clod buster since it’s the same truck as it was back in 87’. As far as color scheme, it’s all subjective. For me, the 80’s has the best color scheme. I have the the 80’s clod, the regular super clod, the black edition and also the grey one which should be coming soon. Red body with the White wheels and the awesome drive decal Klub Klebfoot to me is the best looking one!

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +1

      That's why I used the ?...I love this color scheme, but the original is so iconic. Do you still run your original one? Thanks for the comment!

    • @christopherdeguzman1137
      @christopherdeguzman1137 Před rokem +1

      @@eekrc Yes, I still run my toys. I don’t leave them as shelf queens. Since parts are so plentiful, I don’t stress on running them. I recently built another Super clod with a blue body and using MCI racing 80’s clod repro decals.😀. I Even run my Juggernaut 2 from time to time. I have spares for the gear box and the axels since it’s still made because of the txt2. Can’t wait to see your finished product!

    They look so hard to build

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem

      A lot easier than you think, the build is part of the fun, and Tamiya makes amazing manuals/instructions that are easy to follow. In my opinion they are the best in the hobby as far as that goes.
