SHOCKING developments! The ABANDONED F150 has suspension!

- This week I wrapped up the QA1 F100 classic truck suspension kit with installation of front and rear sway bars. The rear sway bar installation was a little more involved than I was anticipating since I had not removed the original shock mount from the Ford 9" rearend. Once those were out of the way, it was smooth sailing. I also discussed one key change to the build plan for this truck. Let me know if I'm crazy!
DIY 445ci stroker motor or Blueprint Engines 408ci stroker motor? What do you guys think?
445 FE!

Love the idea of using what you have👍. Not sure if seen the 445 that engine power did or ran across Matt Kubik. Matt does a lot with FE’s. Not sure if he did a 445 but he has a 428 FE in his “ultimate highboy” build. You had me worried for a minute. Thought you were gonna say you were do one of those stupid LS swaps.😂
No LS swap for this truck. I was dead set I keeping it Ford to Ford. Building the original FE ended up making the most sense. Thanks for the recommendations. I haven’t seen those yet so I’ll be sure to check them out. I watched a good FE build series on Lykins Motorsports channel.
So this is dated and you might’ve already changed course, but I love the built FE idea. Not only keeping the original engine, but FEs are just cool anyway (keep in mind I am a Ford guy). It probably wouldn’t matter since you cut the factory crossmember out but the FE mount would be different than the 351 Windsor based mount.
From what my dad told me, the 352 ran great but was replaced by the 360, which never lived up to the 352 reputation.
Also the whole small block/big block thing was not a Ford designation. If you want entertainment, some guys get bent out of shape about that on Facebook 😂
Sticking with the stroker FE build! I’ll be filming the block preparation this weekend before I send it out to be machined. People are funny, especially people that get mad on Facebook 😂
FE or Windsor Please. FE is part of the truck's spirit/history and look Kool and have power potential... 66 or 67 Mercurys put
a 428 crank in a 390 block to get 410, but that might be more expensive than the 445 ? Either way this a Beautiful build, Grandpa would be proud...
