  • It was the ring gear of the rear differential who was whobling.
To solve this, I unscrewed the 4 screws of the diff, tightened them them again with about the same torque and in a star pattern. please like and subscribe if it helped you.

Your the only person who actually came through and fixed it

I had exactly the same sound and aligning the tightness of those 4 screws of the diff did the job.
I had to make few tries before I found which ones to loose a bit and which one to tighten.
I turned the gears slowly till I got to the spot where I could hear the sound and then loosened the screw (just 1/8 round) closest to the point where the gears connect and tightened the opposite the same amount

I just bought one and ran it for the 1st time today and it does the same thing. When I am able to, I'm going to try this fix and see if it cures the issue. It looks like a trial-and-error scenario until you find the sweet spot with the torque on the screws.

My Traxxas Hoss does the same thing but the front diff is messed up I bought new gears for it haven't changed them yet I pound on this thing now and I run it on 4s now with a 19 tooth pinion thing does like 70 tires balloon-like CDs sucks that that happened to it I also had a chipped tooth on my spur gear when I got it

I did what you said to do and mine is still super noisy. Right out of the box. I'm not a happy boy.

Can someone explain, I don‘t really understand how the issue is caused and solved, even with the comments. In the first try it is not right and afterwards the second try it is right again ?
