This was a big help to me, thanks. Didn’t want the tether app, wasn’t agreeable with the terms from Big Field LTD. Ending up having to use a short Ethernet cord to initially connect the extender to the router to see the WiFi extender signal on my laptop. Got stumped at rejection on the host SSD’s I picked from the drop-down list, the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz SSD’s from my router, a Linksys EA7300.
After several rejections, I only entered an SSD for the 2.4Ghz host, that worked, I got to the relocate phase, followed through, all set. Could be the age of the router, maybe needed an update to the firmware for the 5Ghz SSD to be recognized by the extender, not sure, but I’m happy with the 2.4Ghz, it’s only for a TV.

Hi i have a piso wifi vendo with tplink eap 110 as an access point.this AP is connected from myhome pldt fiber modem router. So from the modem (pldt) to AP (tplink eap110 with PisoWifi Name) to the vendo machine. I'd like to extend AP (tplink eap 11) using tplink 505x extender so the signal can be visible to other areas not too far from here. Is this possible? TIA
Yes. You just gonna connect the last tp link to the second one via wifi. But ylur speed will degrade as you go further and further

hi there...…..can I use 160mhz bandwidth if i connect re700x with ethernet cable in access point mode....i have internet connection with download and upload speed of 350mbps

Bonjour j’ai une question actuellement j’ai le répéteur RE550 et j’ai acheté le re705x c’était pour savoir si je pouvais connecté le 705 sur le 550 pour. Augmenter la porter car quand je rapproche le re550 de ma box en câble internet le débit augmente
Can you connect a device to the Re505x with an ethernet cable to give it signal while the re505x is set up with One Mesh

Yes you can! it will act as an Access Point at that point
Is it possible to hide wifi SSD of the TPlink RE505X ? It mean when the SSID is hide, if first time to connect will do manual add network.

Hi! What about session roaming? In setup with 2 different SSIDs, it will not roam your client (mobile phone) connection from router to extender. Right?

Would you know if this wi-fi extender is compatible with the PLDT GPON HG6245D FIBR modem/router? Sorry.. I'm not really sure if it's called a modem or a router. I got their service August of last year. TIA
Yes. As long as that router has a wifi or ethernet port, which I'm 100% sure it has, it will work.

How close do I need to be to the router when I’m connecting my extender to the router signal. I have my router and modem in the back house and I live in the front and just bought this product but during the set up process it can reach the signal to the router.

It is pricey. You can already buy another router. For me I use Asus tuf router so I can already buy lower end asus wifi6 router worth 3.3k to make a mesh. If that wifi6 extender is less 2k I might change my mind.. hayz
Could you tell me the difference between TP link and xiaomi mi?
I'm currently using xiaomi mi but I'm not satisfied. I will buy TP link if it is far more better.
Xiaomi is not good coz its single band only. That means speed will be capped or very low at 30mpbs only. If your internet is on very high speed plan, TP Link Dual band is a lot better.

Yes but not so much depends on the signal strength. 5g mode has better latency than the 2.4 but 2.4ghz has better range than 5g

Yes you can connect as long as you have your main router. You can connect this to any wifi

Are you using wifi 6 dongle? If not you can't really get the full potential of that extender. I believe there's no dongle available yet.. But there are pcie wifi 6
