Is anyone here also a broke college Student??
broke high school student💀
Not a collage student but indeed am broke
Yes it broke college student here
I’m just broke no fancy adjectives
Broke highschool
A lot of cars can go 150, it's how fast a car can get up to 150...
Pontiac GTO! I'm hungry for an LS Right Wheel Drive sleeper.
This was an awesome video.
So many good choices. Some better than others. Not a fan of the Jag, or the Audi, but Trav could probably explain why.
The specifics on the submodels and the well timed puns are like poetry to my ears. Perfection.
Almost all of these are under $10k, making all of them ideal buys. I would love to see some mechanic assessments in more "why you need" videos. I'm really hoping that all of these picks will end up as one of those in the future. I'm really curious about the pros and cons of each car. Not only from a specs standpoint, but a mechanic standpoint. A tuned Sti with 400hp is really hard to turn down. If its a build it and forget it operation, I'd be willing to put in the wrench time for those extra ponies, especially if the drivetrain can handle it. For my miata, I'm really stuck at the 266whp limit with a stock drivetrain. For more power, the engine setup would easily support 400hp, but the trans would need to upgrade to something out of a BMW, or S2K. Since this car was built to basically be a daily you could autocross with on the weekends, I probably won't put much more work into it. That leaves the door open for other projects.
I eagerly await more ideas.
Great video! I loved my Genesis. Great buy after I got my first real job.
I can’t believe you can still find these! Good work man
Thanks man! 💜
You know what... There's a few of these cars I'd love to own but I absolutely love my B5.5 A4. Full bolt on plus E85 and methanol injection, I personally tuned it. It makes about 300whp (for now) and gets to 120 in a hurry. It should top out just shy of 150 but on the old tired engine that's in it, I haven't tried yet. Hopefully I get me new engine done soon and maybe I'll see what he really do... Lol
I honestly wouldn't mind the Buick. Those cars have always had looks and style, even going back to the early 2000s when they had the supercharged 3800 engine (which was ALSO on Ward's Best Engines List a few times).
I had one and the shop fucked it up and it literally exploded, after taking it home from the shop, fire and everything it was totaled. I only had it for a month and they fucked up the easiest job- swapping the radiator out.
@@cooperroberts1453 Aw man... sorry to hear that.
Just looking at the list as it goes by, loving the Sunday Genesis, The 330i ZHP, the 540i and the oddly interesting W8 Passat which to me is one of the most unique slept on cars, Until i saw what i could never get in this part of the world, THE FORD TAURUS SHO. I still love that thing. Beautiful and Fast. God help me get the Taurus SHO. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
And he actually pronounced Hyundai right, which is probably what you were getting at.
That was music to my ears.
That Buick Regal GS at the end looks like a Opel/Vauxhall Insignia.
The fact that I've had the e39 540i, e46 330i and 1991 Lexus LS400 ❤ Miss all of them
I owned a 2016 SHO, full bolt on, down pipes, 3bar map and tuned to 450hp. Fun but reliability goes down with mods and mileage, sold it before it broke.
Currently daily a 2005 E55 AMG, 100k miles, long tube headers, pulley and tune around 530hp, paid $12k, $4k in maintenance and mods and have driven it from Florida to Nevada and back in the last year with zero issues.
I get why the 2gr rav4 is kept off these lists, there's not much aftermarket parts. But I hit 5.8 0-60 in a 2010 sport v6 4wd with the sport appearance package... basically it comes with runflats and no spare tire on the back. I wish the 2gr had more aftermarket support considering that motor is in the Lotus Evora and people swap them into MR2s. Still a sleeper for sure.
Can't lie, I kinda want a corvette 👌
And every last one of these cars will cost you an arm and leg to repair.
😂😂☠️☠️
G35? C5 Corvette? Mustang GT? Pontiac GTO? Even the 300 SRT8?
@@damilolaakanni Yes, yes, yes, and yes! If you can do the repairs yourself, you're good. But if not, good luck to you.
Depends...if you are willing to turn some wrenches and do a bit of research, the GM stuff can be fixed on the cheap. The others not so much. Parts(new and used) availability on the GM cars is well beyond the rest of you live in the states.
Yep I totally agree
I’d go with the Chrysler 300 c srt. A beautiful sleeper. You get all the power of a scat with luxury.
Personal request to Trav is the the M157 V8 that problematic cause I'm looking at a used Mercedes with that engine
What site are they using to find these cars
2.4 Cylinder Dodge Neon? Never heard of that before!
What are the best websites to buy a car from??
Ive been looking at an integra. Can you guys do a video about it?
Integra or rsx?
@@IdealMediaChannel Acura Integra. Gen 2-3
get an e85 z4, the n52 engine is reliable and they can cruise at 150
When we talk SRT4 does anyone else think that the caliber is an honorable mention?! Have to add the magnum SRT8 as well I guess.
I have a 5th Gen Mustang with the 4.0 and I can tell you, while it's no V8, it's no slouch either. Plus while the V8 is plenty reliable, the 4.0 is essentially bulletproof.
If your willing to remove the governor, and change out the driveshaft on a V6 model, you'll be able to go 140+ at least.
Add a cold air intake, an exhaust and tune, and you'll be screaming.
6th gen mustang is where it's at IMO. Ford finally put a proper rear end in that car. For the 5th gen, a set of 265s in the rear does nice. The rear end on a mustang before 2015 is just sloppy. I've driven the 1st gen, the 4th gen, 5th gen, and 6th gen. By far, the 6th gen mustang GT was the most track adept. The 1st gen needs a lot of engine upgrades, not to mention brakes, and the 4th gen loves to drive sideways. Too much power, too little grip. I drove the auto version of the 5th gen. (4.0 v6). It could keep up with traffic easy enough, but I wouldn't call it a powerhouse. I also drove the 3.7l 6th gen, as well as the 5.0 GT.
That 2016 GT is on point with traction, handling, and power. It will slip in the rear if you push it, but won't throw you in a ditch. The 20" wheels on 265 tires also make for a nice contact patch. The rear independent suspension, coupled with an LSD, keeps the tires on the pavement where they belong.
I'm in a mustang family, so they're a little obsessed. I'm more of a JDM fan, but if I had to get a mustang, a 6th gen GT is where I would start.
@@christopherlowery855 6th Gen Mustangs are nice, I come from a Mustang family too funny enough. 5th Gens aren't the most powerful stock, but they do benefit a lot from upgrades. I do agree in the fact that 6th gens and beyond are much better in regards to handling.
VQ trumpets wya
I will stick with my 2007 G35 HR RWD sedan 306hp 0-60 in 5.3 I love that car and wouldn't give it up for anything
i love my big turbo srt4
We're riding with ya.
When I search for these locally a lot are listed for about double what you have them valued at.
What about the rx8 top speed of 160 took mine to 163 myself
The Buick is what I want
there is one missing from this list. The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
Okay so without a tune that takes the limiter out it cant do 150 but the Lexus is350 is an amazing 306hp car for under 10k and comfortable and reliable. I think it only does 131mph without delimiting it. But it has an 8 speed trans that could easily do 150 if the computer is changed. My pick for best all around car in these ranges.
Are you aware of any tunes in particular that is capable of delimiting it to go past 143?
the newer gen is350 tops out at 131 but the 2is is350 is a different story can get to 130 in 4th gear 😂
i love the check engine light on the 5 series, thats BMW in a nutshell.
Most likely a mechanics and owners pocket book nightmares
Which one is good on gas?
Taking the LS way to cheap to upgrade u could find them in your nearest Junkyard so C5 or GTO
Why no mention of the cobalt or hhr? In the ss turbo trim, they are faster than olot of these listed. 270/270 hp/tq stock and a tune gets ya 300/350 wheel. Same basic engine as the regal gs but better internals and can handle 500 whp with only a basic turbo upgrade and still be a solid reliable engine. Mine has basic bolt ons, turbo upgrade, and a tune. Makes 450 whp on 93 and would be close to 500 if I ran e. They deserve a spot on all these types of lists!
I will pick the Infiniti G35
Lmao starting off with the g35s in todays climate is wild.
The math ain't mathing on the 500E
Like everything, you can buy it but can you maintain it.
Dont forget the 2.3 turbo mazdaspeed 3/6
of course the bmw 540 had the engine light on
opel insignia opc same model buick with 325hp, going up to 270kmh
i wish these cars were so cheap here in europe
I just bought an E46 328ci for 2100, (+-500 in fixes) does 0-62mph in below 7 seconds and tops at 150mph. I'd say thats cheap lol
You didn’t add either the Mazdaspeed 6 or 3 😢
Are you sure about the Regal GS I believe their governed to 124mph
Where's the mazdaspeed3 speed6 or speed protege or speed mx5 those are good priced for fast speed
And good luck finding a bug eye (or any other wrx for that matter) that hasnt been vaped in.
I'll take the svx
I’ve never seen a Buick regal on here 2014+
My 2012 toyota vitz goes 180 with 1.0L
I always find it funny that a car with a Kia badge gets overlooked this 3.3 liter twin turbo sedan which you could have brought for under $40,000 and can hit 162 mph and 0-60 in 4.7 seconds stock is a sleeper as well, those who know about cars know which car I’m talking about and it’s the Kia Stinger.
I'll take the boxster
Nice vid but the focus st is a 2.0 the rs is the 2.3
You forgot the Lexus SC400; the Lexus-branded Supra...
Sc400 n Ls400 both have a 1uz unless its swapped. But the sc300 got the 2jz or even rarer a 1jz
How come i never see monte carlo’s on these lists? Only negative is the fwd
No way does the focus ST do 155mph. I had on and was pressed to get 135 from it. And i had the ford racing tune and 290hp.
I think its more like 130ish.
Last 😂😂😂
Chrysler 300c srt8 all the way brother, it's got space, power, it's quick, and you'll be looking good why doing it
300zx TT for 12k? I lol'd so hard at this. Maybe clapped out with 150k miles.
im surprised not to see infiniti g37 on the list. 330hp 0-60 in 5 seconds. rwd or awd
How did Dodge not make this list??
I will take the 500E
my 2003 e270 hitting 259km/h joining the chat
Bro 4th gen camaros with the ls 350 are bringing like 12 to 20k 😂 6k might buy u a clapped out v6 model
Ford Taurus SHO just cause you can easily make 800HP out of the engine and embarrass the heck out of people unless you start cosmetic mods then it kinda SHOws 😂
Focus st is a 2.0t ecoboost. Not 2.3 that's the Rs.
cars b cheap in the us, in germany a good 500E is 40-60k and a m3 e36 is about 25 - 30
Focus ST but no mazdaspeed3?? Focus ST is mazdaspeed3’s sons
They also stated the displacement wrong for the st
My bad, but the Boxster is DEF a Hairdresser's car, right along with V6 Mustangs/Camaros/Challys etc.. Hahaa! Get mad about it!
Live fast, die fast
I'm so tired of people calling 10k cheap 🙄
No cema cuh
Finding an e36 m3 for under 10k seems unlikely
G37 boosted > any other vq
Yeah cheap cars that cost half (or more) of what the cars worth when they break. Good luck getting to 150 before your transmission fries.
Why do I feel like I’m going to go online and find all these cars for double the price
Reality has little to do with these types of videos.
Tbh none of these are really that cool. I want something that looks the part, not something that makes me look like a dude stuck in the 90s
Thats a lie, R in a manual does mean racing. Tried it once and I raced straight to the auto shop.
Focus ST? Or no? 😎 155 out the box
Ok y’all got it. Thanks 🙏 😎 fun fun cars…. Real stick. Handle awesome. Good on gas. Family 4 door. Let’s go ST gang.
2019 Toyota Camry Se top speed 160
Pays respects to all the Takeover G35's 🙏
Keep in mind that theres a reason the values crashed.💀
all cj
all cops need to go
S4 or pontiac gto
I'm sorry but this bothered me during the vid, when he brings up the c4 corvette he mentioned the zr1 not the base one, and when he shows the 80's ones those all come with around 230hp of tuned port injected junk with a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds if you're lucky.
Miata is the answer
No way does the c4 do that 0 to 60 in less time than the c5. That c4 is garbage even when in good shape. I had one with a stroked out built motor.
I don't trust alot of these budget used European muscle cars; they smack of killer money pits
Y’all forgot the dodge charger rt it can go over 160 💯
Why don’t we figure out a better way to put traction to the pavement in a somewhat of a aggressive traction control system instead of fucking using the garbage that everybody keeps putting into these vehicles, then it may be competitive with a electric car
a e36 m3 is like 50k
Whose buying an s600 as a cheap fast car
Hay guys I’m looking for the cheapest running and driving Hyundai genesis G 90. Can you help me?
Drive a Hyundai that fast more than like 2 or 3 times...It's off to the junk yard
G35s are just better 7th gen Nissan maximas and you can’t tell me otherwise
I’m sorry but I have a hard time believing my 05 gt can hit 160 when it struggles to hit 130 😢
Driver error
