I think what’s really upsetting these couple of girls is that Maria is willing to challenge them when they’re being rude or accusatory or trying to start drama. I think in their minds, her constantly being willing to challenge them is a big threat to them: how they’re perceived, how they view themselves, and how they view their “control” over this situation.

I'm also sick of the way the others defend their delusion is by saying, "I just needed to say my truth." What happened to saying THE truth. Can we all decide to retire that phrase. I sounds like everyone is trying to be a victim.

Yup! Just like how she challenged Jess when she asked her that passive aggressive question during the cocktail party. Maria was fed up and wanted her to say what was on her chest rather than beat around the bush and I LIKE that realness! Say it witcho CHEST!
They’re the “popular mean girls” and Maria is the cool chick that doesn’t fall for their trap and they hate she can’t be manipulated

I don’t think Lea is emotionally or intellectually able at this stage of her life . I don’t hold much hope for her to even realize 20 years from now .

What blows my mind is these women are in beautiful locations (and are young and beautiful, themselves !! ) dining on great food, in the company of a genuinely nice guy( so far) , and yet some are so miserable and find things and people to complain about. 🤦♀️
I don't blame everything on production, but I do think they encourage lots of the insecurity and drama. Especially if they keep them isolated, don't let them get enough sleep, etc.

You can encourage a contestant to create drama and instigate a situation, but you can’t force them to be nasty and do things. These girls are already like that.

Lea is the reason why this show casts mostly 20 something year olds. The lack of self awareness, and emotional and mental immaturity is a literal gold mine for producers.
The fact that her, Jess, and Sydney were all under 25 I believe. When Lea approached Madina (31) to ask why she was talking to Maria......................wow!

I think it ruins the integrity of the show. He’s not suppose to know. In real life you wouldn’t know what the person your dating is doing when you’re not with them. Plus it gives the producers more leverage to manipulate a situation lol.

I agree with everything you said. I’ve never actually been attracted to a bachelor, I just see them as good looking but not really my type. Joey is handsome! His personality is so calm. Love!
Madina could have put a stop to the Sydney drama, especially after she spoke to Maria and they made peace with each other.
@@dianad1968Idk I think it snowballed at some point to being beyond Madina. I’m sure Maria has had some tone issues and misread the room more than once and they chose to see her as a bad person for it, so we’re at this point where anything Maria does is blown way out of proportion

My heart goes out to Kelsey. I lost my mom in April to BC that metastatized to her brain. I experienced my wedding in May and birth of my son in October without her. I cried listening to Kelsey. I hope she’s doing okay
I'm very sorry for your loss. I completely relate to what you went through. My mother died almost 25 years ago when I was just 21. She died before I ever got married and ever had children. She also had breast cancer, but it came in the form of fluid around her lungs. She had aggressive treatment & they kept draining the fluid but it kept coming back. After finding the fluid and draining it the first time, she only lived 6 weeks.
It began to coarse throughout her body. She had breast cancer 5 years previously, and had successful surgery and treatment. It's absolutely devastating, even to this day. I cried reading your comment, and I cried watching the show when Kelsey was talking about her mom. 😢

Crazy they think on thr bachelor. We wanna watch women argue but do the opposite for The Bachelorette 🙄 almost like they know these relationships are going nowhere rn
It's always more dramatic by this point because you can't make a very deep connection so soon. It focuses on love, hopefully, around fantasy suites episode.
I don’t even watch whole shows until hometowns. I can usually find one on ones on CZcams, plus recaps. I am really not interested in the drama portion of the show.

Tbh Kelsey “sob story” was the only time this season that didn’t feel like a trauma dump. It felt natural and genuine and told a lot about HER and not just her story
I haven’t watched the whole season but I thought Daisy and Kelsey A were both very natural. I love them both.

I think about that too. Especially if they don't see someone's true personality at the time, but then they see it on the show. 😮
For once someone like Maria is actually standing their ground against the mean girls like she actually asking them what their problem is and just being honest saying “grow up” she not attacking she standing up for herself

Honestly if they’re that petty about a girl and aren’t willing to talk about issues in a mature manner to make peace, how do they expect to get married to someone where you’re inevitably going to fight and have to make compromises and fight for each other every day?
It just shows me these ladies aren’t ready for something serious and they need to do self reflection and personal growth.
You’re not usually sleep deprived, drunk, and isolated from friends and family though. So I don’t know if this is an accurate way to find out their personality.

Is it just me or Joey has been an excellent lead? I'd even say up to this point and unless he crashes and burns big time later on (which on this show it's sadly not unlikely) he's been the best Bachelor since Ben Higgins, if not since Sean Lowe. He's a good listener, makes all the ladies comfortable, he doesn't have robotic answers ("thank you for sharing that"), he's a sport in whatever activities they do, he plays ball with the production (which maybe that's why he's not been cutting the drama right away) but in a way that doesn't feel too contrived or artificial. So far my only quiff about him is not handling the drama in a swift away, but often that's something the leads don't have much control on.

Well he was chosen from the producers from probably thousands he would make a great talk show host he’s def a people person and has a way of making ppl feel comfortable around him not sure how sincere it all is but it’s a good quality to have especially in superficial relationships which most of our encounters are in life

She’s a plant from the producers. She was the first girl he met so when the night one introductions happened he’d have a familiar face to keep around. Then they gave her the “steal a date” card so she could throw it in the fire and endear herself to him and the ladies. Then she lied in the weeds waiting for the producers to unleash her on whatever drama presented itself. She’s there to stir the pot.

The girls feel threaten by Maria because of their own low self esteem. I love Maria’s confidence. She can be blunt, which some people don’t like but they have to deal with it another way like maybe being more confident.

Imagine acting like this on camera for weeks and weeks, then going back to your real life, your friends, your job - everyone will see what you are probably really like and that kind of impression doesn't evaporate overnight. I don’t get why instead of arguing with the other women about who had time and who didn’t, they don’t just go talk to him. Jess would’ve had time before the night ended if she didn’t spend it yelling at Maria. And the audacity of it being Jess upset about it when night 1 she stole Joey from someone after she’d already spoken to him 🙄

Lea is young, she’s from Waipahu which she’s probably used to being the prettiest girl in the room so when she came on the show I imagine she had a bit of a culture shock or equivalent to a culture shock & she’s desperately trying anything for him to notice her or stay on the show whatever her motive is.

Maria is confident, smoking beautiful, and authentic. Only the insecure women seem to have an issue with her. You can see on Joey's face he did not want to keep Lea, but the producers wanted her for the drama, just like Sydney earlier. I can already tell who Joey's favorites are, the rest are for the show.

I watch Dear Shandy, Sharleen was on Juan Pablo's season and gives a lot of insight to the behind the scenes stuff. She says production tells them to go interrupt someone else's time, and will keep others from interrupting. You have to remember that production has a lot of influence including what we see and don't see.
