- If you're looking for the best way to soft wash with a pressure washer, you are probably looking at the x jet M5 twist and the Jrod setup. In this video I will share my experience and takeaways from both types of down streaming.
Here's the links to check out everything discussed in the video:

I just watched a pressure washer video without trying to sell me a course or some other crap. Well done thanks
Lol, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I definitely got frustrated with some unhelpful vids when I was trying to start my business.
I used a xjet today on a hose and driveway. I use 50 ft of hose for my xjet, and it works perfectly fine. It can be a pain at times, but it does work good
Yep!! It's definitely an effective tool. A pain at times yes, but I love my xjet!!
Both are great options, and affordable for anyone starting out
Great video!!
Thanks for watching!
Could you do a short video going further into detail on how you run both at once
Hey man, thanks for watching!! This might be what you're looking for czcams.com/video/VOIU0FC1HiQ/video.html
I see you bro. Good video.
Thanks man! 👍
Great explanation. So you use the x jet nozzle to soap and then you switch to regular M5 twist to rinse (turn downstream injector “off”)?
Thanks, it's actually the m5ds that draws soap from the injector. Then the x jet creates enough pressure to close the dsi for the rinse
So you have the xjet nozzle with the barb hanging off of it for the rinse, the m5ds nozzle for soap(opening the dsi bag up), and what else on your 3 nozzle set up? Photos for clarity?
So you think the xjet is better than downstreaming with the actually pressure washer? I’ve got a Simpson 2.5 g per minute pressure washer with a built in down stream injector. Do you think running the regular downstream injector on the pressure washer would be better? Or run the xjet instead?
@@Steve0thegreat if you already have the dsi you are pretty much ready to downstream, which is what I do 95% of the time. You will eventually need a stronger mix, and the X jet will be needed for that.
@@steppspressurewashing do you think it would be best to go ahead and get the xjet? I’m getting the best hoses for this. I am going to buy a surface cleaner, maybe 14 inch.
@@steppspressurewashing thanks for responding, I’m nervous about starting this man.
@@Steve0thegreat that's normal, but you'll never know until you try it! Focus on client acquisition, and have a strong financial plan in place when you start. There are busy seasons, and slow seasons so make sure you are budgeting for both.
@@steppspressurewashing yeah, I’m really trying to figure out what to do in the winter so I’m not stuck without pay.
When you are checking PSI with a pressure gauge, do you put it at the end of your high pressure hose before the gun?
I do, but a lot of people will put it at the back of the line and leave it on.
Does the xjet reduce pressure?
@@shanenorth8663 While running the x jet drops my pressureto about 500psi. Different nozzles operate at different pressures
The jet does what a JROD can't.. Use both
My thoughts exactly!
Super strange
My xjet runs at about 1000 psi
My Jarod runs at 300 psi
Xjet sprays harder then my Jarod, but jrod lays down way more water
Hmm, that is weird. Maybe it's differences in our flow rates compared to our orifice size...
Will the J-rod spray chemical with downstream? From my understanding, the downstream only works with a low pressure tip. How are people getting chemical higher on to a house?
@@lifeontheroad_ the jrod usually has 4 nozzles 2 soap nozzles(one for high reach and one for fan) and 2 rinse nozzles (one for high reach and one for fan)
