I have a 17 month red golden retriever, got him in october 2019 and he’s my best friend! the first 4/5 months where really hard training him, and just super demanding. but it’s SO WORTH IT!! he’s brought so much joy and love into my life, i’m a way i’d never thought. congratulations you guys!!!! ❤️ take all the pics of him this size, because you won’t even believe how big he’s grown!! ugh give him the biggest cuddle from me 🥺
Golden Retriever puppies are the absolute best! I am so happy for you guys! My family has had 3 Golden's over the years and each have been so sweet and special in their own way! Adding getting attacked by Golden Retriever puppies to my bucket list :)

In Greece, there are so many stray dogs, that you grab one from the street and you call it yours. Problem solved.
i want to grab one on the street but i try to drive or walk in the countryside and in town see if i can find any stray dogs but i was never lucky to find one

I brought my Childhood dog into my marriage with my husband. Then about a month or two into marriage we bought a english mastiff puppy who is now going on 3 years old now.
I told my husband I’m creating a dog bucket list of all the dogs I want us to get over the duration of our marriage.
My next one I’m hoping to get once our older one passes away would be a brown Newfoundland dog!

My eyes literally started to water when you guys welcomed him! Dogs are so precious, especially Handsome! handsome is def handsome, but what were you reasons for buying instead of adopting/rescuing? just curious...
Hey! Idk about the people above but I've recently organised to get my pup from a lady who had a litter from her pet. We were unable to adopt as all the shelters in our area are almost totally cleaned out of doggies and the ones that were left were not able to be housed with cats or babies (I have a cat and am planning on having babies soonish). This is why I chose to buy rather than adopt ❤️.
In America, most shelters are cleared out because a lot of people got pets while we were all quarantined.

My husband and I in 2019 went to the pound on Christmas Eve (our anniversary) just because we wanted to go pet some babies. That's when we found our second rescue a Rottie named Minnie and we got her right away. Dogs truly make a household and now we each have a dog to follow us around.
Dogs are great stress relievers.
For when you want to travel, they have 'Doggy Day Care's' and some will care them for days when you have to be out of town. Or just plan your traveling by car and take him with you.
He is a good looking retriever! Congrats guys/gals!! Better start putting ALL your shoes on ground level way UP, if shoes are kept in the closet on the floor, better learn to CLOSE the closet door. ANY blankets with tassels or anything that can hang to the ground that he can grab with his mouth, better put up during the day or anytime you are not in a room with him or you are away, including your throw PILLOW!!! Anything low to ground that can be chewed will be chewed. You will have to get used to putting soft things way UP HIGH for a while!!! Until he gets older and gets more trained as to what he can chew and what he cannot.

Congrats on Handsome🥰 If you get another dog, they are rescues that help Golden retrievers rescued from the meat trade and are amazing ♡♡ I would highly suggest rescues & shelters over breeders! (Health of the dog, overpopulation of dogs, etc) 🤍

A similar thing happened to us with a kitten, literally the day after we reserved our little girl the breeder contacted me to say she had passed away 😢 but we have her sister now which made up for the sadness ❤️
