There is a difference between a setting spray & a finishing spray. Setting spray helps sink the makeup into the skin and tone down the powdery effect of the face while finishing sprays helps your makeup stay matte. For setting sprays, you can use kiss beauty, nuban beauty e.t.c while examples of finishing sprays are elf setting spray, Nyx spray, morphe e.t.c

Thanks for your comment Sis, Pls do u mean one can spray setting spray after makeup just to reduce the powdery effect and then go over with a finishing spray so as to get a matte look?

I agree with ABSOLUTELY EVERY SINGLE THING YOU SAID NNE. When I started makeup 2014, I use to feel bad that I couldn't afford everything I saw on youtube but I thank God I didn't have the money then, because after so many years, I realise some makeup stuffs aren't even necessary to buy. Sometimes I use eyeshadow as a blush and honestly it looks so good, I use high-lighter as a part of my eyeshadow depending on the look I am going for and of course alot of people use regular concealer as a substitute for an eye primer and the eyes still looks good. As for finishing spray, I use anyone that I can get my hands on that is good but if I dont have a finish spray (even if I have a finishing spray sometimes) I use ROSE WATER!, Yes ROSE WATER, i put it in my old spray bottle (which i have alot of empty ones lol) and i spray that badt boy on my face and keep it moving. Even lip liner pencils, if I dont have anymore, I use my eye pencil (depending on the lip look I am going for). I even see some youtubers who use a dark powder they got that later turned out not to be their shade as a contour powder. So in the end not all makeup stuffs are necessary especially if your goal is looking good while also not breaking the bank...SAVE EM COINS GUYS, SAVE!.

On days when it's - 30°C and my face is as dry as the Sahara, that spray helps my skin look alive. For me, I almost never use a primer. After layers of skincare and sunscreen, I just can't. Also, I use just an under eye setting powder. I don't use powder all over my face because I tend to use foundations like the UD Stay Naked which doesn't need setting.

I also agree, I always use setting spray and it's definitely leveled up my makeup game. Even auntie Jackie signed off on them 💯 but again to each their own

Dimma i totally agree with you regards the silicone sponge those things are legit useless i think i used it just onelce after getting it and i had to use a brush for seamless blend

Thank God ooo, that spoon like brush I used to think I was a village girl for not knowing how to use it

I absolutely agree with all of your points. Urban Decay is overrated IMO. Funny enough the Setting Spray i use costs £5 and I think it just makes my makeup look less powdery. I like the finish it gives. By the way I love this makeup look. You are glowing sis!😍

Thanks for this reviews, finally someone has aired out my opinion... I use setting spray, allow it dry before I apply my foundation in some cases when I want a dewy look.

I tot agree with the setting spray - setting spray makes my makeup oily quick. I only use them when I feel my powder is too much as she said

I agree with everything even setting spray. You can totally achieve long wear without setting sprays. I just use setting sprays if I want to get a dewy finish not necessarily for long wear

This hair is so beautiful on Dimma 😘.
Those brushes honestly really look like spoons 😂 And they were freaking expensive then

I used to buy setting spray when i started wearing makeup, but stopped using them about 3 years ago. I honestly agree with you, just very useless!

I think setting spray is best for people with dry to very dry facial skin
