That fact that Jones has been in the league since 2013-14 and will finally get some say in what team he plays for is astonishing. It sucks for the Jackets, but I'm not a fan on deals over 3-4 years. Jackets have 3 first round picks this draft with some decent D that will be going first 2 rounds.

I remember the day grant was traded here to Buffalo i knew hasek was going to be great but just needed a proven veteran practice and just as a teammate . Puppa was good but fuhr won multiple cups fuhr made a immediate impact as on hasek as well .

Mathews 25 hits in 7 games roughly 1 a period but with his size I expect 1 hit a SHIFT - 334 regular season games 162 hits (this past season being his first where he had more than 1 hit per game)
Marner 9 hits in 7 games - 335 regular season game 148 hits
Nylander 5 hits in 7 games - 356 regular season games 88 hits
Why would this team do what it takes to win a cup when in the regular season they dont prepare to play for it?

couple things straighten out here grant said oilers could play any style wrong they were a one dimensional team who feasted on some of the worst goalies in nhl history in cambell conference in 1980s. the islanders where far better team and billy smith was far better goalie
