Difficulty Rating - 8/10
Ordinarily, this is an 11/10 mission (two helicopters, an armoured car and around 50+ hostiles), but my tactic brings this down to an 8/10.
From the beginning, I actually head backwards and use my RPG to blow up an attack helicopter still grounded in a valley far away. I then turn around and head towards the roadblock, where I use my RPG to then blow up the armoured car. I snipe all the hostiles at the roadblock, then head towards where Condor will drive in from.
I use a small hill as a vantage point for sniping, and then use the terrain as cover to blow up the second helicopter. After that, it just becomes a question of ensuring the remaining hostiles that enter from roughly where I started don't kill me or Condor.
I used to run endlessly here and there to explore the place

Same here, i did this in the project igi too, i was always curious to know whats in the end of the map and i walk through out the map but it was endless, i thought i reach the last mountain but far away there was always another mountain
@@xzi7499 I used to cheats in igi 1 just not lower my health. And I used to jump from the tower and over the fence wall in the first mission. And then I would run and run but again The same place would come again and again.
😢 I spend thousands of hours playing delta force 2 and 1 . Now I'm programmer curious how to make game like these. History repeat itself

I remember playing this with my father. The chopper would scare the shit out of me. To add, if you missed the 2 LAW shots it generally meant that the helicopter is gonna kill you lol
Edit: why would you take 2 LAWs tho, and M40? Carbine with grenade launcher and extra ammo would be much easier
Yeah, this level was a real nuisance. Especially if you are doing the sniper Challenge! If you take the assault rifle with the Grenade Launcher, it generally helped a lot more (I forget the name of the gun)

When I played it a few weeks ago, there were two choppers to take down. So I had only one shot for every helicopters 🤔

@@fizalibnalthese Next time I am in the Netherlands again I will visit my parents, the cd's and book and operations manual must still be there somewhere in a box with my other pc and c64 stuff. The keyboard stickers probably died with the keyboard but I am sure I also had a cardboard "keyboard on-lay" thingy with it.. also still have the 7cd (or 9? Long ago..) x-files game.

Those days were so good when I was little child around 5 years old and I used to play this game and I used to kill penguins and birds in this game lol I did not knew at that time what to do with them . Those good old days I miss them now my PC is broken so now I cant play this game :( . 10 years passed I have not played this game . I would recommend those to definitely play this game who never did it yet! Love from India ❤️🇮🇳

I hate this mission the fact that there are 2 Helicopters and that you have only one chance to shoot them down. As a child, I remember being scared seeing the chopper coming towards me when I didn't have the LAWS
haha, same here! The thing is this was especially challenging for me because of the Sniper challenge (only the Barrett .50 Cal can blow up a helicopter but it takes a lot of shots and you need those bullets for the enemies)
God I loved this game.

I'd remember scoping in at a cliff and seeing the enemy heli take off and I'd shit myself. I didn't realise I had a LAWS on me at the time (I was 8) lol. Good times.
haha, oh man, for me it was the same thing but I learnt to use the LAWS pretty quickly. The thing that took me ages to work out was the Laser Designator.
Alien Shooter 2, Need for speed: Hot pursuit 2 and Delta Force 2(1999) (this game) and edge demo were some of the first games which I played in my life when I was small :)
Delta Force was one of the first for me, but my very first were Doom and Tekken

If i remember right theres a random like 40 dudes all running like it was a drill or sum in this mission, if not thats prolly in the mission w the motorcade...u have to go out the way to find it, like 40 dudes all running in a group, with no guns in camo

@@fizalibnalthese speak of the devil... its on payback, n im assuming they patched the guns in bc its the same group of like 40 dudes runnin but on the original disc they aint have guns, similar to how the steam version has missions where u have ai team mates, the original unupdated disc did not

I first did it with barret M82 sniper rifle with extra ammo and a law, destroyed tank with grenades from behind and both choppers with law, M40 takes 1-2 seconds between 2 consecutive shots as it is bolt action, M82 is faster taking in consideration the number of enemies need to be delt fast
On this one, the m82 is definitely required as there are too many enemies for the barrett.

You can destroy the chopper at the beginning of the mission i always did that. It's located on mountains far away and our rocket launher has a scope you can destroy it just need to be accurate
Ok he did it ,but that's one chopper, but chopper number 2 is further away, located in ahm, if the vehicle we have to escort is coming from South then location of chopper#2 should be west.
@@federalboobieinspector Hey man! I know this trick already actually, however, I choose not to use it as with snipers only, I need to make sure I make my shots with the LAW count. Otherwise, I can't get the 2nd chopper

This map was super, duper difficult! Especially for snipers only challenge! But I manged it.
