Yes you could but my suggestion if you can get a better and bigger fan please do so
Just need a bigger box then i would be good.(strage container box) because when you spray paint , the air from the airbrush will push the smell to the side.
i started with the same fan which later upgrade to BOSS kitchen exhaust , which pulls air faster. .
Now im using a full double kitchen exhaust spray booth.
I agreed on what you said. I just used this to paint a whole kit yesterday and what I can say this is not enough for a heavy and long time use. I think I need to upgrade to a more strong fan and just like you said, a bigger box.

@@tehuncang1232 meaning my custom spray booth have two kitchen grade exhaust fan. So there are double tube

do you actually need the filter paper infront the fan?
Yes, you can do so. But for this build, the fan used is already small in size. Putting another filter in front of it will make the suction become weaker.
May I know how many inches is the exhaust? Thank you.
Both exhaust fan and tube are 4 inches
But, where are you sending the paint to? you have no filter so you are transporting the paint inside the tube to?
The exhaust fan will suck the paint dust out through the tube. The exhaust fan is help to reduce paint and thinner odor from trapped in room which is not good to breath.

@@KazuhiraMiller-uj3lm The problem is i have seen people who do this and just send the gases to another part of the room or part of their house. They just spread particles around the house and think its a "solution". You have to have a filter or else your fan will die and you have to send the fumes OUTDOORS not keep them indoors.
Man that fan is so smalll are you sure this gonna works???
