      Sometimes you want to stop yourself from thinking you can't, but being aware of that thought and acknowledging it, you can change it and not fear it, in this present moment. Love it..     Funny to hear Eckhart speak about living in one's car.
    I made a conscious decision to embark upon this adventure. It's been great.
    After being inspired by many nomad videos on CZcams, over 7 months or so, I decided that I would not renew my rental lease, and that I would enjoy the savings and adventure of car camping.
    Now at it since July 14, 2019, no regrets at all. I am aiming to transition from my Prius to a 2022 Highlander.
    Circumstance is seen through the lens of attitude.

    What a relief to realise you don’t have take your thoughts so seriously. Why do we give such weight to negative thoughts but not to positive ones. Observe, don’t react, as I’m sure Eckhart has said before.

    First step, come into the present: 1)become amare of sense perceptions, 2) become aware of thoughts, you song Have to Belice in every thought that comes into your mind 3)become aware of your surroundings. 4) realize how much of your thinking is directed towards the future

    Due to The fear of irrational thoughts im reacting automatically
    But i am aware and let it go coz it is not who iam it doesn’t exists in reality
    But my self is deeply attached in that thoughts and makes me feel like victim

      You are recognizing that these thoughts are causing your anxiousness - keep moving to being in the present moment ( keep listening to eckhart) and you will become more and more aware and free yourself from attachment to what the fears of what the voice in your mind is telling you 🙏

      @@bonnitabee6351 exactly, I keep listening to Eckart talks everyday, and the pieces of his audio Power of. now book, some are short clips and so great deep! I listen to his advices about how to do or what do in nature or even by looking at hands, and focus on breathing,,, then thoughts disappear!     Many times I feel pleasure sinking into thinking narrative, it is difficult to be again awarness of present moment, is like a drug, like a pleasure addiction that produces nice feelings, it is like a scape, so I say, why cant I give myself the pleasure of remembering nice things or living nice imaginary future scenarios. Hard to scape from those thoughts and be present.

    Isn’t there something odd?
    I am struggling with anxiety because I can't stop the negativity from streaming into my mind, yet they’ve been telling me to merely stop those thoughts.
    Who would tell a sick child going down with a fever to just stop being sick?
    Most of us believe we can control what we think.
    But this is difficult. In fact, it is almost impossible.
    It may be possible temporarily, but you will return to your original state of mind after a little while.
    Here, I emphasize once again.
    Do not think that you can control your own thoughts.

      Daniel - stop surviving START LIVING / Just relax That‘s a vital question. Wayne Dyer‘s first book „Your Erroneous Zones“ is completely based on the assumption that you CAN change your thoughts. The book is based on „Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy“. So is that method pointless? I think, as Dyer wrote, it is basically a long process of changing habits of thinking. I think the Krishnamurti / Tolle approach to get into no-mind and observe your thoughts are a very important step that Wayne Dyer didn‘t know yet in 1976 when he wrote the book. Personally, I am trying to combine both approaches, stepping outside the mind at times, but also changing thought habits and underlying assumptions and self images.

      You’re already aware that the stream of thinking is not you. They’re intrusive thoughts that ultimately drain you but there’s no part of you that is actively deciding that you’re going to flood your mind with thoughts that cause you pain and angst. Now try holding that awareness. Remaining aware that it’s not you doing the thinking, it’s the thinking that passes through you. Eventually, once you recognize that and accept that there might be times that you might not be able to control your stream of thoughts, you can transition to disconnecting yourself from them. They’re not you, they’re passing through you. It’s not about controlling your thoughts, it’s about being aware of what they are, just thoughts. The longer you hold that awareness the less of an impact those thoughts will have on you and the less they’ll happen eventually. Your mind will eventually get bored of the thoughts that no longer impact you as they once did and will eventually choose a different narrative.

      You do not need to control your thoughts. All you want to do is observe your thoughts from a non-judgemental point of view; meaning you do not take sides or play a part in your thoughts because if you do you’ll be dragged by your mind/thoughts, therefore you will not be present in the moment. The present moment is where your life is unfolding at any given moment. So when you’re following your thoughts you’re completely missing out on your surroundings or fair to say, on your life, and that’s where you make miscalculated decisions and take inappropriate actions. So by merely being aware of your thoughts not only you do not give them your full attention you also stop fearing them which is the primary cause of your anxieties in the first place. I hope it makes some sense.
