When RGIII reflected that he also had a great rookie season but the difference is Love isn’t coming off an injury, that hit different. RGIII was gonna be so much fun to watch, one of my top “what ifs” if he never got injured.

I’m a Packers fan. But saying Jordan Love is a top 5 QB in the league is a MAJOR stretch. He certainly found his footing the 2nd half of the season, but can he put it together for a full 17 game season? He and Rodgers are 9th and 10th as far as top QBs in the league are concerned

@@TheJragon14 I would agree partially. I also think he is fringe top 10. However, I disagree that it would be ignorant to think he won’t improve. A young team is wild card last year the Packers had an easy schedule and a lot of young talent. This year they have a lot of young talent but a harder schedule and a new defensive coordinator. I think there are outside factors that could make it hard for JL to improve upon last season. He has a chance to improve but each year brings different challenges we will see if he can adapt.

Context matters. Playoff success, and success against playoff caliber teams matter.

Allen has always cleaned up his play in the playoffs, Dak hasn't. He's also a younger, more productive and dynamic QB than Prescott.

Love had a higher QBR than Burrow, Stroud and Goff at 62.1. Rodgers shouldn't even be listed considering he didn't play last year. Love also finished 11th in passer rating, arguably the only QB stat that actually matters. Is Love a clear top 5 QB? No. Top 10 there is an argument to make.

@@jabarricharles-barnes658 passer rating is essentially the only quantitative stat that really reflects a QBs impact. Takes into account competitions per attempt, TD to INT ratio and overall yards. If we’re going to compare QBs imo that’s the only line to judge
QBR is a far more accurate metric than passer rating.
Receiver YAC, drops, or tips to defenders that become interceptions should not affect a QB's passing metric like it does for passer rating. On the other side, strength of defense and rushing efficiency should, which passer rating does not account for.
QBR being 0-100 with 50 representing league average also makes it a lot easier to ballpark how efficient a QB is. There's a reason the majority of MVP winners are also the QBR leader

I'm a Packers fan. I appreciate Mike's confidence in Love, but this is just delusional. Love makes a case for top 10, but not top 5. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Jackson, Purdy, and Stroud are currently better than Love rn imo. Doesn't mean he can't be a top 5 QB, but he's just not that now.
I'm a Lions fan but I agree with you. PERSONALLY I agree with Mike to some extent(Not sure if I'd take him as non Mahomes 1st) but I am super high on him and have been since you guys drafted him but if you are talking rankings right now I don't think it should be based just on how you "feel" they will project down the road but also what they have accomplished, how they are playing, their skillset, their age etc.
Love checks many of those boxes but the accomplished part is what makes me put him lower, it's no fault of his own but the fact is it has only been 1 season and there have been many guys who have had great seasons only to not follow up on them. Again personally I don't think that will be the case but until he proves otherwise I think it's fair to have him behind many of these guys that have a larger sample even if Love may have more raw talent and upside.
So nobody gonna bring up how burrow continues to miss season after season being injured but the dude is #2? I guess health doesn’t matter anymore lmao

Total Packers fan here, so take this with a grain of salt. The Lions have a great TE, the Packers have 2, the Lions have a WR1 and a good 2nd, the Packers have 4. If you believe in the new Packers DC, which I do, I think that tilts the field in the Packers direction. In either case, I think 2024 is going to be a great season for the fans of both teams. It's going to be so fun to watch.

I can’t possibly take someone seriously that says the number 2 QB is Jordan Love, over Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. When you say something that stupid your opinion just becomes a joke.
Much better list: 1. Mahomes, 2. Burrow, 3. Lamar, 4. Allen, 5. Herbert, 6. Hurts, 7. C.J., 8. Purdy, 9. Dak, 10. Stafford. Switch the guys at 5-10 to preference, can also see subbing out one for Goff. Having Rodger’s in the top 10 in the year 2024 is absurd. Keeping the two most recent nfc championship winners out of the top 10 is even more absurd

I'm from Chicago and don't care too much for Aaron Rodgers but his spot at #8 is insane. He's 41, and hasn't played well going on 3 years. He's been banged up the last 2 years and more than likely won't last this one coming up either. His whole thing relied on his scrambling ability, which he doesn't have anymore. He's not Brady who NEVER relied on his scrambling because he couldn't get out of his own way even in his prime.
