I've been search for digital artists, that use a Tab s6 lite, for almost a year and gave up. Can't believe I just discovered this now. I love your art style! I hope to see more videos of your drawing process. This is very inspiring. You just earned yourself a new subscriber!
This inspired me on so many levels, thx a lot for this video! I bought the same tablet a year ago to learn drawing, but only started to draw on it like two weeks ago. Compared to what I know about iPads possibilities and their apps, I quickly became frustrated about how incomparable my experience with s6 lite is gonna be... I've been playing with a lot of apps and Concepts along with Infinite Painter are my favorites so far. But even Infinite Painter seemed to me a far cry to Procreate, until I watched your video! It seems like the paid version of Infinite Painter does pretty much the same job as Procreate does, that's a relief to me :) Also, you don't use a glove while drawing, so this, along with the fact that you're using the same tablet and app, puts me in the exact same technical conditions that you are in the moment. If you can comfortably draw, so can I! I just need to shut up and stop complaining and be glad that I have a decent tab and all the opportunities to learn digital drawing 😅 Thx a lot for this moment of inspiration and encouragement, I can't overestimate your help. I also bought this tab a year ago but didn't start drawing properly cause I kept thinking that I should've gone for iPad & Apple Pencil because everyone around me keeps saying procreate is best for beginners. But this video & many others like this r inspiring me now & also ur comment also made me happy that am not the only who felt like that ^^
@@jenyfervonuck yup2 i definitely agree on ibis paint, the ui might not be as clean, but the drawing experience is just great and it's pretty well optimized for android devices. Plus, it's free too!!
@@jenyfervonuck yee i used to paint on the small screen of my sister's Samsung note8 and i can say it was really cool art at the time, i love the "pen" brush for outline, i used to draw alot of outlines and cut chibi girls, and then used to draw on my phone with my finger using ibisx and i really was enjoying it, It's never about the tools we have, it's about our skills and creativity :*)

thank you!! most of what i use are default brushes, proko pencil for the sketch, then i changed the settings a bit for lineart. for everything else i used the soft pen and a little bit of the airbrush.

I've been using the tab for more than a year now, mainly for note taking, youtube, and drawing. I still like it!! The performance is okay, there's better ones out there, but it's enough for my own purposes.
I finally found an artist using this tablet!!!!❤❤❤ Do you know why I’m unable to use my fingers to zoom in when I draw using the s pen? I’m having a hard time figuring this out 😭
hmm there are some things that causes that issue that i can think of: one, you can't touch the screen if the pen is hovering the screen at the same time. two, the touch gesture setting on the app itself is disabled

May I ask,what brushes do you use when using infinite paint and how do you get it to not looks so…like…blotchy and scratchy if that makes sense,everytime I use infinite painter it always makes my art look a little low quality because of that and it makes me so mad!!!

Thank youuu!! I don't have any experience in making webtoon, but I think it takes a lot of space. I would suggest using a laptop or pc since there are softwares like csp that has tools for making comics and webtoon . As for tablets, I think the ipad would perform better, of course this is only my opinion. Please do more research though^^ Hope this helps.
i'm still looking for the perfect brush, so i always tweak the settings here and there. but for now, i like to use the proko pencil, soft pen, and my custom brush (settings in my community tab)

It's decent but not amazing on bigger projects. I do 2560 x 1440 and 2000 x 2000 for most of the time in Infinite Painter. My usual illustration has 31 layers on average and it does slows down (but still usable) when getting to the 14th layer mark assuming you are using blending modes and clipping mask heavily. If you do below 15 layers with medium use blending mask and clipping mask option on a 2560 x 1440 canvas, it's surprisingly smooth. It basically performs between Tab S3 and S4 when it comes to performance. I don't recommend doing a 4k resolution canvas if you're going past 5 layers (or 10 if you don't abuse blending modes and clipping masks) because it's really not a pleasant experience (like really bad). You can technically do a 4k (3840 x 2160) illustration but I don't recommend it. I did try to make a 4096 x 2160 and it was considerably laggy that I made myself limit to 7 layers maximum (with heavy usage like multiple PiP, Color adjustment, curves, blending modes, masking, selection tools, etc.) because if I do add more, it will make the lag unusable for drawing. (Which is going to be super limited when doing complex work). It's actually impressive that it keeps up despite heavy stress. The fact that it only crashed once with my workflow and I already made countless projects is impressive. Edit: Also there's this thing in infinite painter that does a "Smart Layer Management" (quote cuz there's no real name for it) in which the lower layers lags more but the upper layers are buttery smooth even in a 2560 x 1440 canvas. This is because when you are drawing on the upper layers, the program assumes that the lower layers are pseudo merged together and disable opacity support when it's on 100% or 0% opacity since you are not using it on that layer, compresses with minimal loss to even save more resources. When you pick the lower layer or close to the lower layer, the program is smart enough to give those "features" so you could draw on them which will use more resources and make it more laggy. The dev made a clever solution to keep the upper layer buttery smooth since it's where the majority of the drawing process take place. This is how the tab s6 lite having 60 layers is possible without crashing! So basically 4k (10 layers)- Unsatisfactory 2160p (20 layers) - Decent 1920p (20 layers) - Good 1080p (20 layers) - Amazing
i've never done big projects on the tablet, so i'm not too sure. but i think apps like ibis paint and medibang can handle larger files compared to infinite painter.
yes i would, tho i suggest getting the 2022 version as has a better chipset!! it works well but with some hiccups here and there, especially if the filesize is bigger. i don't mind them that much personally, as i'm usually doing sketches or small illustrations on it. hope this helps^^

For importing brushes, you save the file onto your tablet, and it's called a .prbr file.

I did try to make a 4096 x 2160 and it was considerably laggy that I made myself limit to 7 layers maximum (with heavy usage like multiple PiP, Color adjustment, curves, blending modes, masking, selection tools, etc.) because if I do add more, it will make the lag unusable for drawing. (Which is going to be super limited when doing complex work).
It's actually impressive that it keeps up despite heavy stress. The fact that it only crashed once with my workflow and I already made countless projects is impressive.
Edit: Also there's this thing in infinite painter that does a "Smart Layer Management" (quote cuz there's no real name for it) in which the lower layers lags more but the upper layers are buttery smooth even in a 2560 x 1440 canvas. This is because when you are drawing on the upper layers, the program assumes that the lower layers are pseudo merged together and disable opacity support when it's on 100% or 0% opacity since you are not using it on that layer, compresses with minimal loss to even save more resources. When you pick the lower layer or close to the lower layer, the program is smart enough to give those "features" so you could draw on them which will use more resources and make it more laggy. The dev made a clever solution to keep the upper layer buttery smooth since it's where the majority of the drawing process take place. This is how the tab s6 lite having 60 layers is possible without crashing!
So basically
4k (10 layers)- Unsatisfactory
2160p (20 layers) - Decent
1920p (20 layers) - Good
1080p (20 layers) - Amazing
i've never done big projects on the tablet, so i'm not too sure. but i think apps like ibis paint and medibang can handle larger files compared to infinite painter.

yes i would, tho i suggest getting the 2022 version as has a better chipset!! it works well but with some hiccups here and there, especially if the filesize is bigger. i don't mind them that much personally, as i'm usually doing sketches or small illustrations on it. hope this helps^^
