    Not to be rude or anything but.. Steam trains (oldest trains) don't have a electric pannel because they were steam powered. There Is a lot a gauges in the cabin and levers to active stuff. I'm sure the pannel goes to the destroyed station

    that ''wheel'' is just a car axle
    and that ''clock'' is a gas meter, the long pipe on it floats on the gas
    and you're about says that you are in america and that's wierd because most steam locomotives in america use oil lamps
    and the thumbnail...
    the wheels on the locomotive are strechted
    i also can pull out a slab of iron and call it a tank part

    My guess is that the locomotive and its tender where scraped because a lot of the time when trains derail they get scraped but that’s mostly with older engines I think because newer engines are built a bit more stronger and able to survive derailments better but if the engine was well known or famous in the region it could have been restored but that’s just my guess

    That C shaped piece looks to be a part of the air brake system. It holds the brake shoes and applies pressure to the wheels to slow down the train.
