A Märklin locomotive deserved this magnificent restoration.
I never cease to be impressed when those badly corroded and seized clockwork mechanisms are returned to like-new condition! Amazing work, as always.
I love to see these beautiful old toys restored to a second life! Great job! Thank you!!
Amazing! No "child's" toy is made to be fixed these days, nor for many decades. Great work!
These videos contain some elusive magic that makes you drop everything and stare at the screen, forgetting about everything and opening your mouth)) This is a process of creation combined with the process of rebirth of a thing that, it would seem, is already suitable only for scrap or just for the trash. This is a combination of excellent professional skills of the master with technology. I am fascinated and bewitched by these videos! If only people could be repaired in the same way and made even more beautiful and newer than they were originally! I'm giving you a standing ovation!
Great restoration good for 93 more years if not more then that they don't make toys like that anymore 👍🏆
Shut up. We dont care if it apparently destroys the value. What matters is that it now functions@@alexeysamokhin9022
@@alexeysamokhin9022 exactly how much historical value would it have left if it were allowed to continue rotting away until it was little more than a rusty pile of scrap? Sometimes, bringing things back to working condition and looking as close to the way it originally did is the best way to preserve history.
@@alexeysamokhin9022the price would also be zero if it was left to deteriorate like it was before. Sometimes it’s not value that matters. And it’s not as if they changed the entire thing, the only original part that’s gone is paint which is something that couldn’t even be repaired anyway.
I love watching your channel. You do such fine work. I'm a kid at heart, so everything you do, I want!!
There is a very realistic sound when, in motion, the wheels pass through the expansion spaces... beautiful!
Incredibly beautiful and skillfully done work! A pleasure to be part of!
There is something incredibly nostalgic about these old toys. A time when the world had not heard of plastics and toys like this were very very special. Can you imagine getting something like this as a kid in those days? To think of all the tooling and planning that went into building a toy like this back then. This was a beautiful restore and your editing was very good (loved the intro). My only teensie weensie critique would have been the two top screws being lined up with the others ; ) Love watching your restores, keep up the great work.
Getting something like this as a kid nowadays would be just as amazing I'd think, perhaps more, because it isn't plastic and looks more like a realistic train!
When I was little my father put together his old train set for us kids every year as a tradition, during our Winter Holiday break, and they were EXTREMELY heavyweight train cars I remember, like solid heavyweight metal that would've definitely hurt you if anyone would've accidentally dropped one on your foot or wasn't handling them carefully.
It was in the steam train style and had metal tracks and even these little tablets to put into the steamstacks of the engines that made 'steam'. I believe it was electric run, but not too sure, it was a family heirloom handed down. It was huge and complex and quite a sight when all the tracks were laid out and the whole train and cars were chugging along, and I adored the caboose!
What happy holiday memories with extended family this brought back!❤
@@fluer6049my dad offered me a train when I turned 8. Best day of my life 😅 Glad to bring the memories back 😌🙌
I as well with my Grandfather. Except his took mineral oil. Always had that old time smell to it. Man, that was a long time ago : 0@@fluer6049
I love when historic stuff like this gets new life. Where else it could end up in the dumpster or just rot apart.

Thank you for your report. I was a maintenance mechanic for many years so I can understand and appreciate your work. Job well done.
Yes my friend with a new model. I'm still sourcing for the train my friend. I'll keep u updated on it. Keep being awesome my friend. Ur very talented
Beautiful restoration. Thank you!
Well done, from trash to treasure. I enjoyed watching your work. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you
A very lovely job!
What a good job ! Congratulations from France !

Another great restoration work from ya. Here's to more restorations in the future so that these old toys may have a bright future and never be forgotten.
Beautiful restoration! It always amazes me to see treasures from the past come back from the brink in such a beautiful way. ❤❤❤
Beautiful patient restoration, un-seizing the clockwork motor with ultimate care. Thank you!
Spitze !!!🚂
Amazing job!!!
That restoration couldn't be done better. Amazing work. 👍
Unbelievable!
How wonderful the restored locomotive looks!
What a incredible pleasure it was watching you restore this beautiful model. You sir are extremely talented, i thank you for sharing this with all of us .👍
Another beautiful project completed! Truly a joy to watch! Absolutely love your treasures, thank you for the entertainment! Very well done!
I’m an absolute sucker for vintage toy restorations. Masterfully done.
I wasn’t sure I could reassemble it 😓 It took 2 days to replace the main spring. I filmed it but I decided not to show it… Such a hard work 😅
@@TheFabrik Yes, I can imagine it took you quite a while to re-assemble the clockwork. Was it the first time you did so? It's best to soak such a clockwork in brake cleanser fluid and after 24 hours put it in the ultra sonic bath instead of taking it apart. There is a good chance it comes to life again! Kind regards from Claudia the German antique train collector.
It was a well made toy.Its good for another generation.
Your work requires lots of patience and innate talent,
😍😍😍👌👌👌
Again, truly amazing workmanship. That train sound at the very end is so realistic too. Loved it.
Great restoration! It's very satisfying to see and hear the little train running!
Your camera work improvements (especially the wider-angle shots showing gloved hands-on movements) and characterization improvements (including the engineer figure in more shots) are great!
Wonderful to see the kind of work my Papa did when he restored Lionel Pre-war trains out of his garage in the 1970s and 1980s. Wish he had been able to teach me the skills for it, but also glad to have multiple functional examples of his work on my layout.
Keep up the good work!
What a beauty!
I have waited SO LONG for a new video... here at last... another masterpiece, keep em coming please :D
Superb restoration, what a result.
Just a toy? What precision of fulfillment! What excellent engineering!
I love the train restorations the best. Great work! It turned out very nice.
Fantastic job (as usual) on this beautiful model.
And now with real gold plating...
Long time no see ;) Thank you very much ! I didn’t expect gold plating would work so well 🤷♂️😅
Continue the great work
Hi, another amazing restoration, great to see this old Marklin running so perfectly..Thanks for sharing your incredible talents with us. Cheers, Paul.👍👍👍
I was wondering why no videos. Good to see you performing magic again.
Cheers, Paul. 👍👍🙏
Top quality work, without a bunch of explaining or music blasting.👍
That's great! The sound of wheels is real!
So fun watching the transformation take place...So sad when it comes to an end.
will try to find another of your fine projects...
Thank you !!! There are several trains on my channel ;) I’ll do more soon 😉👍
My favorite so far! I love windup trains! (So does my cat!)
Fascinating. I would never have the patience to do this, and even if I did, I would be the sort who ends up with one part left over and no idea where it goes!
wow that train never looked better 👍
Encore une fois très belle restauration. Le résultat est magnifique ! Bravo et merci !
Beautiful restoration looks amazing well done 👍
A spectacular job of restoring every single piece in this massive project. What is even more impressive to me though, is the masterpiece of video editing done to make this process look so smooth and seamless.
What an incredible restauration. Master piece. Congratulations
Magnificent restoration!! Well done!!👏👏
Magnificent! What a jewel it turned out - one of your very best - ever.
Amazing it survived all the scarp metal drives of the 40's
What a BEAUTIFUL little model. Well done! 🏆👏🙌
Look great
Very nice green, perfectly combining with other colors :) Good job !
absolutely beautiful result
Aus alt wird neu !
This is unbelievable and fantastic...
Excelente trabajo de restauración 👌👍👍
What a beautiful restoration!
Che meraviglia! Complimenti!
That is very cool. I had no idea that Märklin ever made windup toys. I only know them as suppliers of HO scale electric trains.
Another fantastic restoration, i love watching your videos
That was absolutely fantastic sir thanks. Tom.
I am speechless!!! Well done 👍
You did a wonderful job. It looks beautiful and runs perfectly.

Great restoration 🫀 Watching from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Absolute perfection....great to see you at work again...thank you.
I absolutely love the model train videos.
Hey TF
Loved the transformation from spider webs to full restoration. Great job on all of the small details. Take care😊
Very professional. A wonderful and interesting restoration job. As a Marklin collector and scratch builder hobbist, I have learned a lot with such a detailed video.
Great job! That Märklin RS900 locomotive looks so cool now.
Wonderful restoration, excellent craftsmanship.
Superb restoration project. I wouldn't have dared to take the clockwork drive apart, in case I had some bits left over when I came to reassemble it.
Excellent job mate, well done
I do wish clockwork toys were still a thing. There's something incredible about winding up a toy and watching it go without electricity.
All I can say is WOW, OMG~!!! AMAZING~!!!
I would have loved to seen how you wound back up that giant main spring. Reminds me of a watch main spring
I filmed it… I spent two hours on it😅 It was such a pain I decided not to show it 😐
@@TheFabrik in watch making they have a very special tool just to wind the main spring. I’m sure given the size of that one it was a pain. Nice work

Beautiful! I love those old tins and really enjoy watching you bring them back to life. BTW: That little repairman watching and telling you what to do really knows his Stuff.😀👍 Thank You!
A joy to watch...... and what a talent! 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
This is beyond fantastic ! I will build a similar loco from scratch . I already made metal train wheels a few years ago .
