Rip. Arboreals always come to the ground. They're a lot more active than people think.
Yeah and alot of arboreal tarantulas actually just live at the base of trees and still need to burrow lioe hati hati
Hello.I'm Niki from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 and I'm 12 years old.I really like invertebrates. I'm interested in lepidoptera( butterflies and moths) and odonata( dragonflies) .All year I take pictures of them and I will try to make a guide book of the species in my area.I really love your videos. They changed my opinion on tarantulas.I'm now fascinated by them, especially the colorful species.Really interesting and pretty cool bugs!
Petko there is a large hole on the wall on the back of that enclosure where it looks like a vent area that has a torn part of screen. Maybe she got in there
That's what I was thinking
The Dominican purple and Mascara def look like they've outgrown their enclosures. You always do such an amazing job on your enclosures that I love seeing the finished product :) I will ultimately enjoy whichever you decide to rehouse :)
I vote for the Dominican Purple for a re-housing. awesome video and thank you again Petko! much love to you and the family!
Linda had a whole ass snack, You been keeping Tees my guy, how did you not know this was a terrible idea.
Do you think that she could scaped? minute 1:35 , in the ventilation there is a hole and then she could be able to squish between the gaps. Maybe she is outside
domician purple and mascara look in dire need of a bigger enclosure... also they're colourful ^^
Those are the 2 I chose as well. 🎉
"It's been "0" days since the last animal youtuber communal drama"
why fish are #1, other animals just too stupid to play nice sadly.
Yeah, that was gross to read through. Not impressed with any involved parties.
@@J1MMYB01read through what
nevermind, found it, bleh, i've been keeping inverts, fish and reptiles over 35 years, so tired of drama.
Yeah man I've been doin herps, inverts and fish for 35 years or so, the drama used to be in person at expos, or shops, or old crapy forums lol, now it's a nightmare. I fkn hate it. I have my opinions too, IDK though sometimes certain ppl you just can't debate with, you'll lose your mind.
Where does the hole in the ventilation lead to? It looks big enough for a T to escape…
Those native spiders in the enclosure are steatoda grossa and they are related to widow spiders and can give a painful bite that can cause severe swelling and naseu but not medically significant
Most importantly they're a pain in the ass for every tarantula keeper bc tarantulas avoid their webs but their webs are barely visible. And also they reproduce like crazy. Actually the only spiders I kill when I see them right away.
@@lubitz161 not for every tarantula keeper because they aren't native to every country, they are found here in the uk but they aren't native and also they are only found in cluttered untidy spaces, in a normal sized enclosure you should have none of them
I did notice some nibbles (or what looked like nibbles) on the background at 4:45 and the idea of another escape artist tarantula with the mesh being flipped up a bit on one of the ventilation ports 1:35 is also a possibility. Hope Donna is still alive she is such a Avicularia
If Bella ate the other Tarantula, wouldnt the remains be somewhere near her hide? If I understand Bella's type they dont really move that far from their home
that last plant you called dandelion is actually clover
Nitpick: that is actually an Oxalis species.
@@antyqjon it’s still a clover…
Oxalis
Common Name(s): Clover Good Luck Plant Lucky Clover Oxalis Shamrock Shamrock Plant Sorrel Wood-sorrel
@@dreampainter2011Fair point. Though if we were to use common names, a "clover" usually means genus Trifolium, so there's an ambiguity. Same with the spiders, stick to the proper Latin names and you'll be fine.
Caribena versicolor for rehouse shes been needing a new updated enclosure for years she laid her eggs behind styrofoam and she is still there lol
Thank you for the video, Enjoyed Watching. I would like to see you re-house the Dominican Purple, Such a Beautiful Color !
I'm voting for the Ybyrapora Diversipes and the Pamhobetes Sp. Mascara
Both definitely look like they need a new home ASAP!
Much love Petko and can't wait for the next upload.
as some have already mentioned, there is a hole in the ventilation at the top right. looks big to squeeze through, noticed very quickly in the video. so maybe there is a chance that she escaped and is loose in "the dark den".❤
Might be worth investing in one of the small cameras that are on the end of a bendy wire, might make it easier to see inside hides and other small gaps
I think she got out thru the one vent on the back side were your water hoses come through for your mister .the screen is pulled up . Might want to look around the dark den .
Always fun watching someone else rehouse pokies
I love the colour purple so of course I vote for a rehouse for the dominican purple 🙂
Also I really do hope Donna will show up alive and well.
Dominican purple said "you better choose me or else," I'd listen to her 😅 the versicolor definitely needs a display enclosure too!
I think she snuck out the open corner in the corner of the screen up top
My Arboreals like to fold a leaf and get inside. They are very hard to see afterwards. I hope that is what has happened.
I hope Donna shows up, Avicularia is one of my favorite tarantulas . As for 2 choices for rehousing I think the Pamphobeteus Mascara and Pamphobeteus Dominican violet those 2 ladies NEED some running room, lol.
Been waiting for this update since she was rehoused in this enclosure.
The "clover" look a lot like an acidic clover. I think it is called Oxalis acetosella in Latin.
I expect that Dona was hungry went down to hunt a roach, and instead of a roach she found Bella.😢 The issue is most likely lack of arboreal dwelling pray for the arboreal tarantula to hunt, big moths or caterpillars or something like jungle nymphs or stick insects, mantises etc. She can only hunt in Bella's territory which is a risk of them meeting eachother. I hope this logic helps you see the issue Petko
i'm about 2 years into this tarantula thing (and consider myself a novice hobbyist by all means), so i assure you i'm asking this genuinely: is the "issue" that he's put two species of tarantula together at all? like, is there a prevalent mindset that it's "bad" to do it? I didn't know he'd even tried this, and i really am curious if it's worth trying myself. which is to ask: if he had put all the proper "arboreal prey" in there, would it actually work and be okay? an enclosure that size could even have an upper land area that a fat terrestrial would never get to, so the arboreal would have safe options for molting. thoughts?
@@zealousie even with enough food above ground you can never be safe that it wont go down. Wheter it be for molting or something else
Even more illumination, bravo
@@snizzern4530 fair. I've read a fair amount of stuff since asking, and i agree. Perhaps Petko is doing this for views. The only other reason would be that he doesn't know any better. The latter is certainly the more difficult to believe.
@@snizzern4530I agree on that 100%, you basically have 2 apex predators in a small territory compared to the wild and that will always lead to territorial problems, in a bigger space it would have been much safer in my opinion, But never without risks, in an enclosed space where none can yield the territory to the other it is a matter of time
You should get an inspection camera. when look around inside there.
pamphobeteus seem to be both the ones that need a rehouse the soonest, and also rehousing the 2 pamphobeteus in the same video would be satisfactory to everyones brain
Pamphobeteus mascara! It’ll make a fun video as they’re bolty and fast I also have one and need to rehouse it too 😅 they’re a beautiful big brown spider! Yv div can also use a redecoration! Something to stop it from bolting out the enclosure maybe
Gbb for rehouse!!! It's my favorite..so beautiful!!!
If none of them are in a space problem i would say either the OBT or one arboreal since they are in the very old ones( maybe you can experiment for arboreal background as well)
The first and last tarantulas on your list are my choices for rehousing. 😊
my dairy cows ate a whole dead scorpion, if the tarantula was eaten the cows devoured it
Dominican purple and Mascara should get the rehouses. They’re so colorful!!
#1 DOMINICAN PURPLE 💜
#2 MASCARA🧡
these two definitely look at tho they could use a bigger enclosure the most👍🏼🙏🏼
#1 it is not pamphobeteus... it is phormictopus, Petko is mistaken cause there is no such spider as pamphobeteus sp dominican purple :)
I'm from Pennsylvania in the US and we call those little clovers sweet clover. If you chew on the leaf part it has kind of a "sweet" taste to it.
The dark den at it again!
Maybe a larger enclosure was needed? Edit: The purple one for rehouse. Also if you ever build a similar ultra large enclosure it might be neat to build it around a large full tree stump intact with roots in the center of the enclosure.
do you know the behavior of the spider you've lost? i'm not knowledgeable about spiders in general but could that spider be more terrestrial than arboreal? they may like to rest in trees but they could spend time on the ground to look for prey and that would likely attribute to the two spiders meeting.
He knows the behavior. It's arboreal but that doesn't mean it's feet never touch the ground.
Bro dont do this many arboreal tarantulas also like to borrow a bit ofcourse this would lead to a massacre this wasnt a good idea
Id love to see the dominican purple and the female gbb in bigger enclosures. I fell like the GBB webbing would be incredible to see progress on
I really hope you can find the other tarantula. I love the setup, and it was an interesting experiment, but risky. I hope this brings positive information in the community for tarantula keepers.
The community knew what would happen. People tried to tell him. No one learned anything. I'm not trying to be rude to Petko, maybe he needed to learn for himself, but people knew this would happen, it's not an experiment if the overwhelming majority knew the outcome.
You should have used the Jungle as a Communion this way the number of Bodies would decrease the amount of space so not much moving around but your 100% right.
I have been missing so many of your videos.... youtoob has messed up all my notifications
The dominican & mascara definitely need bigger spaces IMO! :) they are all so beautiful!!!!!! You have wonderful looking spiders!!!!! Ty for all your info!
Petco hopfully you find her.
And the cremetopelma cyaneopubescens would be a good rehousing video.
My pink toes always came down to hunt at times, tough one, no disrespect, hard lesson. Personally I would rather the true spiders be out and the isopods safe, but it's your enclosure. Luv ya dude, somehow I never saw you setting this up or I would have given you a heads up.
Everyone tried to tell him. So, it wouldn't have helped if you chimed in, no disrespect. I'm just saying, we all tried to tell him. 🤷🏼♀️
My vote is for which ones you think need rehousing first :) maybe the ones that have molted or will recently :))
I think the first two could really use a new enclosure but that Poecilotheria Lowland looked nice.
Pokies pokies and pokies, we need them more! So yeah it would be cool to see a rehouse for sp lowland
My rehouse votes go to the purple tarantula Pamphobeteus and the other Pamhobeteus sp. mascara (she needs an awesome background!).
would like to see the first one with a timelaps and the second one with a very colorful naure encloser
you need to get the camera that works on a long wire
At 15:12 that's a plant in the genus oxalis, it's most likely a woodsorrel
Time to add some house geckos to control the OTHER spiders
15:12 Looks like Oxalis acetosella, tasty acidic, but not good in large amounts because oxalic acid in it.
Rehouse,Versicolor and Lowland, upgrade the old enclosures first🎉
Omfg the versicolor has put in so much work for her beautiful oasis in the sky lol don't move her
Ybyrapora diversipes or Caribena versicolor would be nice to see at the next rehousing 😊
11:15 He said it! He said the thing!
Always replace the oldest enclosures first.
So sorry about your T Petko, hopefully she will show up
I think I'd most like to see the Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens, the Pamphobeteus sp. Dominican Purple, and the Pamphobeteus sp. Mascara rehoused first. I think the two Pamphobeteus sp. need some the most due to their size and it'd be interesting to see the Chromatopelma make a new web
I vote for the cyaneopubescens and versicolor for rehouse. Always fun to see how they web
exactly what i thought would happen. used to enjoy your channel but i dont know what you were thinking here cant say much else without being insulting. i hope you rethink this whole event and wish you well for the future.
And that’s why you need a water bowel 🤦🏼♀️ I see mine drinking from the bowl often.
I think she probably squeezed somewhere and possibly escaped…there’s no remains
Agreed
Isopods eat remains. It could've happened a month ago, there wouldn't be remains left.
I think you should do the 2 older enclosures
I literally called this outcome from day one, but man that still sucks. Sorry it didn't work out.
Purple & Versicolor are my two picks. Hopefully, Donna wasn't dinner.
You think she might have escaped? There are no remains of a corpse and it’s lacking webbing
Isopods my guy. They eat boluses.
Maybe this could’ve worked if you would have allowed the arborio tarantula to get established before the terrestrial tarantula
Focus Petco focus! 🤣😅
GBB and Versicolor
New video !!! Let's gooo
I'm kinda suprised there isn't more backlash for Petko inevitably feeding one of his tarantulas to the other. I'd expect the more sensitive members of the community to be up in arms about this
I'm seeing quite a few comments about it. I guess most people here don't know much about tarantula so they don't realize how big a problem it was to do this.
top 2 picks for next rehouse:
1. phormictopus dominican purple
2. pamphobeteus sp mascara
Man, I am sorry it turned up this way.
i saw bodie parts next to linds hide
The last 2 look great. Any of the first few.
TY for video Do the Dominican Purple next.
purple and the versicolor for rehouse
Rehouse Dominican Purple & Pamphobeteus Mascara
Great vid 🙏
15:52 definitely this one!
Versicolor and the poki 😊
Who would have thought
Am I the only one that saw a big leftover next to Bella, I mean that could be the avicularia 😅
the purple one and the green bottle blue!
Gaaaassssssp !!! U lost Linda! 😮
No he didn't. I think he just accidentally called Bella, Linda once in the video. He lost the Avic.
hope she still shows up, but I also fear she probably got eaten
Several of us told you this was going to happen. Its been tried many times in terrariums much larger than that one. While you think they dont move around, they actually do move around a lot and they know whats in the general area.
Exactly i am so disappointed
I'd choose
Chomatopalma and Carniberna for th enext rehouse.
Caribena versicolor and dominican purple rehouse!
I want you to rehouse the purple one next.
Great video, btw. Fingers crossed for the MIA T. I think there's a good chance she's still in there, since there weren't any remains.
Purple or vercicolour
Saw this coming...
definitely the caribena and the Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens for a rehouse
