This was such a labour of love, Moon Quest was one of my favourite series from the Yogscast and i hope they also enjoy this flashback through the lens of LeadAndPaper!

Classic, Simon reading the instructions carefully but slowly, Duncan not reading the instructions properly and Lewis being impatient and not bringing everything. This was amazing.

aka , crash them in the right order and they compliment each other ,crash them in the other order and they all fkd XD
but also to be fair , actually doing what the instruction say might also help aka.. hold ..not 'beat like a drum' ;)

Never forget that Kim, the newest member of the yogscast at the time, and the one with the least experience in Minecraft, was the first to successfully land on the moon on the first try

Let me get this straight, Simon reads warning but didn't click or hold space whatsoever, Duncan click space instead of hold space and Lewis forgot to bring oxygen tanks for himself to the trip for the moon. Yup, classic Yogscast idiocy. I love them so much.

Duncan sucks, the Chemistry in the "Dig Site" Series between Lewis, Simon, Tom & Ben was much better and felt like the old times!

Once I made flapjacks for my mum but she said she can't eat them because of dietary needs :/
It's obvious that a ton of work and love and effort went into making this.
My God, that was incredible. Especially all the little touches, like how Lewis and Duncan were all burnt up from being next to the rocket, but only for one shot and then they were back to normal. Absolute perfection.
This animation is GLORIOUS!! My wife and I watched all these episodes as they went live for months. YEARS! So many happy memories in this. Thank you.
This is a part of Yogs history that I’ll never forget and I’m both so glad to have experienced it at the time but also gutted that I’ll never experience it for the first time again. This however was such an amazing masterpiece that I found myself laughing and loving these moments like they were new once again. Thank you LeadAndPaper.

I love how, of all people to fly to the moon in all the Yogscast Minecraft series (that I've watched), Kim was the first one to successfully land and survive.
I like how in the construction montage, it takes them 4 days to build the rocket, but dozens of days just to take the scaffolding down XD
Loved the Elite Dangerous music in the background at the beginning!

I love how you can see the details of Duncan's airship, the sheep "enclosure", wind turbines (additional built as their electrical demand increased), and of course, Lewis' railgun waiting at the entrance!
Also, Wheatley in space! Rare to see any Portal references anymore...

This was the best one yet! I decided to rewatch moonquest, after so many years. And the yogscast channel is missing ep 44, 45, and I think 46. You go from earth to already on the moon? They're missing bits. Anywho, this cartoon brings back memories.

This is the best Yogscast/Minecraft animation I've ever seen! Now I really wanna rewatch MoonQuest even though it's only been 5 months since I rewatched it for the 5th time.
I clicked this video because I saw when it was uploaded...4 DAYS AGO! I thought it was an old animation, saw the upload date, did a double take and knew I had to watch it. Man, nostalgia is a hard drug, it's a bit late than other Yogscast animations of the legendary scene, but definitely appreciated.

I'm so glad you made another one of these!! I often rewatched Oil Toil for the laughs, but I think this one's my new favourite - the shot of Simon sitting on his rocket seat wide-eyed amidst the ship's wreckage cracked me up so hard :P

this was one of the funniest yet most infuriating yogscast minecraft episodes i've ever watched. i remember getting so annoyed that they managed to fuck that up 3 times hahaha

Kim is only one to land on the moon successfully.
To be clear what happened:
Launch 1: Simon crashed while reading the warning.
Launch 2: Duncan tapped space instead of holding it.
Launch 3: Lewis forgot to bring oxygen, began slowing down too early trying to land at moon base, died mid-air _(mid-space?),_ and the rocket blew up moon base.
I love that as the rocket took off it you could see Bristol behind it 🤣

oh my god, that was incredible!! I cannot imagine how much work this took, there were so many amazing details in this!! The shots of the rockets taking off were beautiful every single time, and the lip syncing was amazing, and all the backgrounds, and you even put Wheatley in there, hahaha, this is actually a masterpiece, I absolutely love it!!! 💙💙💙💙💙
Duncan is one of those people, who are the reason why engineers had to add emergency engine shutdown in cars not only when the starter button is pressed down for more than a few seconds, but also when it is repeatedly smashed in panic..
This was my all-time favorite moment of all the Minecraft series. Core memory formed- and you recreated it beautifully!

Just got a bout of mad nostalgia, I used to adore Yogscast and Letsplay's Minecraft videos. I can't believe these came out like 8-9 years ago.
to this day I don't understand how the phrase "hold space to slow down" is too complicated for three men to understand...

Dear LeadAndPaper, I suggest you hold space, because this video is taking off.
Jaffa jelly cannot gel without pectin, something citruses lack in any useful quantity, so I'm assuming that's why its mostly apricot. They also could've used apple or pear, but apricots are closer to orange flavor.
Anyway, THIS WAS AMAZING! I've watched it every day since release at least once XD

I don't know if "six and a half hours later" was a reference to Alan Shepard's first launch (he was delayed by six hours during the first manned American spaceflight due to rain and wind), but it is SO charming.
