So good! Medical practitioners use saline water, with a 0.9% concentration of salt to cleanse, soothe and heal wounds.... but if to high of a concentration of salt is used it will burn the wounded, damage the tissue and interrupt ir slow down the healing process. Lord help us go easy on the salt when we encounter a wounded brother/sister, backslider or unbeliever.

What's also interesting is the healing ratio of salt in a saline solution is similar to the ratio of salt in human blood and tears. Hmmm.... is my correction mixed with the same/similar ratio of love as my tears for that person's soul or struggles? Is it a similar mixture to the "blood" I'd be willing to shed for that person? Maybe if we aren't willing to cry or bleed for someone's soul, then we shouldn't be the one applying the salt of correction to their wounds.
