  • G'day guys, I finally bought a Motorcycle Lift Table! I'm really impressed with this one that I got from Trade Hero Australia. They actually have 2 versions of this Motorcycle Lift Table, one is just Hydraulic and the one which I got is Hydraulic and Air operated. Anyway here is my first review of it including step by step setup and operation of the Air & Hydraulic Motorcycle Lift Table. Hope you enjoy :-) Cheers... Mark

I just bought one here in Cape Town for 900aud delivered. Sold under the name AEI. Will set it up tomorrow and put my DR on it and then my heavier BMW k75. Happy to finally work at a respectable height.

Nice! Love the pneumo version. I have a simple hydraulic version. I find that pumping the treadle to get it to max height and drinking a beer take exactly the same amount of time, so THAT'S convenient...

glad you bought one mate, when you were planning on using the roof and cranes etc, I was yelling at the screen 'just buy a lift!' you can easily weld an extension to the table for the side stand . Best thing I ever bought, it saves back ache and you find problems so much quicker too.

I use a small platform scissor jack under the frame (skid plate) to lift the back wheel once the bike is strapped down... Makes it way easier to service the back wheel and the bike is way more stable. Be careful to forget the kickstand while backing up the bike... you will learn why if you do.. LOL. I also have the compressor version but i always use the foot pedal... I find that getting the compressor and hose connected takes just longer than using the push pedal. Love the KTM color! Makes it look more expensive!

Looking good Mark, congratulations. Four tie-down points are a standard safety feature for 200+kg bikes on lifts, I'd encourage you to use four straps to tie the bike down - the risks of significant damage to you and the bike if it comes off the lift at it's full height aren't worth the risks of relying on 2 straps. Ride safe mate.

Thanks too the straps and side stands off the lift I didn't get my bike thrown into my lap. So be careful with the lift at all times.

Bought one in NZ recently. Exactly the same lift, different brand name. Have a 17 Suzuki Vstrom 1000. Put it on the lift and tightened the chock as much as I could thinking it should hold. Went to get some straps a few feet away and turned around to the bike laying on its side with one of the front chocks completely bent. Major design flaw in my mind. Broke a mirror and windscreen extension. (About NZ$50) If you look around, the better ones use square box section for the chock. This model has a weak point in the chock where it goes from being flat along the base of the lift to angling up to the tyre with just a few welds holding it together. I'm looking at using a threaded rod to connect the two chocks together at the end point so they don't have the ability to move apart. Not sure if it will work yet. May look at adding some box section to the existing chock to make stronger. Also looking at fabricating an extension on the LHS of the lift to allow my kickstand to work as currently it is waving around in midair.

About 2 months ago I brought the same moto lift. The front plate isn't angled enough, allowing the front wheel to go too far forward. I bent the plate and bolted a block of wood to it. Stops the front wheel going too far, allowing the wheel clamp to work properly. (Clamping the bottom and front of the tyre)
Use it for my Harley's, I can get enough clamping force to where it holds the bike upright (no stand or holding it steady) and I can then put the tie downs on.
For the price, ya can't go wrong.

Question for ya, I have a similiar almost identical lift to yours in the UK, same air lift system, of which I have an issue, I had this lft on it's side in my garage, as it is not used most of the time, now when I use it, the air lift sounds like it is working, but does no lifting... the manual side lift is fine, but air lift no longer lifts it, any ideas what that might be?
