  • Get "Love After Heartbreak" here 👉 bit.ly/LoveAfterHeartbreakYTS... - The REAL TRUTH about "Guard Your Heart" - Proverbs 4 23. What does guarding your heart really mean? I'll break down how to guard your heart in a relationship and life in general.
Be sure you're guarding your heart correctly, and take these steps to finally experience healing from your past with your copy of "Love After Heartbreak" here: www.loveafterheartbreak.com
Proverbs 4 23 - "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
Have you ever asked yourself "What does it mean to guard my heart?" or "What is Proverbs 4 23 telling us when it says guard your heart or protect your heart ?" Be sure to listen, like, and subscribe! Oh and leave a comment below to share your thoughts.
Trying to figure out how to guard your heart in a relationship should not be your focus. For a relationship to thrive you have to be open and vulnerable. I know that may sound scary, but that's why healing is needed. You have to be truly open to love, and trust God to protect your heart.
I hope this video helps with this topic of guarding your heart, and provides a better understanding of Proverbs 4 23. I want you all to be open to receiving the man or woman God has for you. It is ok to guard your heart and to be cautious of what you let in your life. But don't "guard your heart" in a way that you shut down your heart and opportunities to meet the right one.
"The same walls you put up to protect you are the same ones blocking your blessing."

Da nia, I agree to a degree .we definitely need to get as much healing as possible before getting in a relationship. However, we will always have room for improvement. I believe there's layers of healing. It's not like we're 100% healed. None of us are perfect . Some stuff we won't realize until we're actually in a relationship to work through it beloved.

In Scripture, the word heart represents the center of our emotions, thinking, and reasoning. It is the command center of our life. So when we read, ”Guard your heart” (Proverbs 4;23), it makes a lot of sense. We need God’s help not to neglect His Word, but to use it to align our hearts with His heart every day.

I agree 100% with what you said. I used to believe it meant protecting your heart with walls. But as I have been studying scripture and praying on it and reading Faith Based books. What you said makes more sense. I used to be an awkwardly social person and I truly believe that I have to learned to put my fear and anxiety aside so I do not give the devil control over my blessings. This is something I have been working on this year. I am putting myself out there in my church and getting involved, which are things I've never done because of how I would allow myself to be consumed in fear of rejection. But now I am living in God's light and I will no longer be a prisoner to my fear and anxiety. Thank you so much for always spreading such uplifting messages. GOD BLESS ❤️

All of those toxic actions I used to take to try to avoid heart break I keep it inside and release it to the lord.I also know that the word says the Lord is a just judge and that he will repay 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 so it is not my job to react bc it is his battle not mine. We have to stay in our place. I pray for peace in my heart and a peace of mind and look around me for blessings that I can thank the lord for. “And allow the peace that comes from Christ to live in your hearts. God is always confirming himself. He is right! This was in my devotion today. "Guarding your heart, doesn't mean not loving others. We love like Christ, its always has risk involved. Allowing yourself be vulnerable and genuinely caring (loving) deeply. Possibility of deep connection and love. A wounded heart is susceptible to hurt someone else." Healing is needed. Blocks you from being loved. He is right!

"The same walls you put up to protect you are the same walls blocking your blessing" I resonate with those words (reminded me of Brene Brown about vulnerability) because the pain of heartbreak can be so big that you just want to shut down all gates not to experience it ever again. But in the same time...you hardly can let anything good in. I am learning to open the gates again, I know it is silly to keep them shut. Thank you for your simple truth I needed to be remineded of. God bless you!

Im very sensitive women but im not afraid to get hurt we cant avoid it, because what Christ suffered in this world happen to us..guarding your hearts means dont let your heart being trouble, dont let that hurts and angry stays in your heart it ruins your future.
If you love God you will get hurt because its not easy people will persecute you but why do you stays in God because you see future in his kingdom same goes with loving someone. But if you stay faithfull and positive you will overcome all of this.

In agreement with this interpretation of The WORD. ❤ This scripture has been presented as you say for walls to go up. Good things can't penetrate walls. We have to have healthy boundaries with others....not what this scripture is imparting. ❤

My interpretation of this scripture was way off but I cried once I heard yours 🥺 I always got this scripture wrong thinking it meant I needed to have a wall up since I constantly get hurt by others.

Very valid points. All this time I did have that scripture wrong and now I have a better understanding of what guard your heart means. I love how this was broken down thank you❤

Yes you're right about that I cannot agree with you more 100% on that sentence but at the same time you know what we know the way to stop that from happening and stop making judgments and moving too fast with the relationship you got to see how things go first and to see if there is any connection between the two

You have to guard your heart from actually doing good and protecting yourself from evil. I feel a person's vulnerability is not for everyone to explore because there are very sacred parts that can come with being vulnerable. You can't allow that to be a playground for people and I think there are levels to it. It can be very easy for people to take advantage of you because of your heart. Bad things that happen to us do allow us to grow and those bad moments teach us how to control our intentional output. There will be moments and parts of me that I will share with you and only you (mind, body and soul).

For years I thought this passage meant
exactly what most believe. I recently received a different outlook which lines up with what you are sharing. I am learning to walk in love (although a challenge with some) and watch the universe manifest the best outcome in every situation. Thanks for the reminder.

I agree, what ever you allow to enter in you will display on the outward man, meaning what ever you allow to take hold of you, you will ultimately show in action at some point, and this will hinder you from being open to the one that is for you..
