The Moody Blues used to tour with the Beatles back in the Hamburg days. In fact the Beatles song 'She Came In Through The Bathroom Window' was a reference to when a groupie crawled in through Mike Pinder's hotel bathroom window.

as a hardcore Moodies fan since 1968 i first want to say thank you for exploring this group and thank you to your patreon that is recommending the Mppdies albums. this is the 3rd of their classic or core 7 albums and look forward to your reaction to the others as well as their other 9 post classic albums. if you truly enjoyed the first 2, i can assure you thar you will absolutely enjoy the ones to come!

Lots of cool tunes on this one, A Question of Balance is the same, lots of variety. They showed they can do all kinds of folk rock and soulful stuff as well as psychedelia.
In the Beginning references the philosopher Descartes.
This was the first Moodies album I heard back when it first came out, when I was 11 years old. I've lost count of how often I've seen them live and I still enjoy listening to them. Thanks for the reaction!

Yes, it sounds like a sentence as it was intended. Moodys were an introspective thought provoking band whose songs blended together to make one cohesive concept. They made albums, not songs, much like Pink Floyd. Nobody ever went to hear Beethoven play songs, they went for the experience....much like the Moodys.
