    I have had a few Harleys in my day. The way I see it from an 88ci,96ci, and now my current 2017 M8 107ci Harley is a Harley. As years go on the newer ones have a few new bells and whistles but you still have to maintain them the same. The hardest pulling HD I ever had to date was my 96ci with a gear cam kit and stage 1 with tab mufflers, and with religious oil changes I put over 87k on the bike with no motor work.

      That’s the thing everyone thinks more inches is king. I know a few guys with the 96” that would hurt your feelings. All about how it’s built and as you said, maintained.

    Absolutely love my Sawicki 2-1 exhaust. I went from 109hp/128tq on my 2022 street glide 114" stage 2 zippers kit with 472 cam, 64mm throttle body, injectors and SE ventilator air cleaner. I put the Sawicki full length 2-1 on, retuned and now at 128hp/129tq. The exhaust is not the loudest at idle or steady speed, but soon as you rip on it everything changes.

      Would you say the short pipes are louder then the full length ones? Honestly besides Power I’m trying to find some that will be extremely loud as well

    • @Prometheus1979
      @Prometheus1979 Před 11 měsíci +1

      Maybe a little louder since it’s shorter. I know it’s loud enough for me when I’m mashing on it with a nice back pressure sound when you let off the gas to shift. I love mine.

    Watching a Mastertech Miller video ofcthe same bike, he removed the air cleaner and did a pull and gained 12 hp. He stated the air box had to go for one that could more air.

    The mid length pipe looked the best IMO… the long pipe is the best of the full length pipes because the tip kind of flows with the way the new bags are cut… either way, keep the info coming. Interested what the SE tuner would do.

    I don't know if thundermax makes a computer for this bike, but if they do, I would recommend it. I have had a few bikes with a thundermax and they perform way better than any "map tune" could ever do. The thundermax basically makes a custom map for your bike that adjusts and tunes itself and keeps getting better the more you ride it.

    Just the sound improvement alone is worth the price. For a bike that expensive a person shouldn’t need to pay for upgrades. The world we live in I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @throttleblip9854
      @throttleblip9854  Před rokem +2

      I agree but with sounds it's all about emissions. If they had a pipe that sounded good it would have to be pretty open and free flowing which unfortunately wouldn't pass. As you said, the world we live in.

  • @DjVendetta
    @DjVendetta Před rokem

    To all the people complaining about the numbers. Emissions is what is holding this bike back. Blame Biden and politicians like him, not Harley. With a 777xe cam (obviously when and if they make a compatible version), the CVO will probably make 140/140 plus. I bet you can get 150/150 with a proper pipe, cam, intake and tune. Unfortunately Harley just can’t sell it to you like that, but they do give you a pretty solid platform to build on. And most people that buy Harley’s wont need more power then the CVO already makes. Oh and for those that are curious I ride a 2018 128ci Heritage Classic. FM 128 kit, FM AC/DC filter, Fueling 472 with full fueling cam chest and a D&D Fat Cat. More then enough for me but I am considering the CVO. Maybe in two years or so and I’ll have one.

    The throttle to wheel response seems a little slow. Was it in rain mode? When he gave the throttle a full twist the rear wheel response was slow. Could have just been the video or me.

    • @throttleblip9854
      @throttleblip9854  Před rokem +3

      That’s because he’s in 5th gear and starting around 2k rpm. So you are seeing lag. Some of it is throttle and some is just from being in a high gear and not in the power band. Throttle sensitivity can be adjusted though.
