That was intense. And great! Yes, at my basic level (Scottish V) I recall several times going from two bomber placements and thinking I have the crux nailes to - two moves later - thinking that the whole thing was about to fall down and I'm going to die. I've never had such a dramatic change in emotion - from complete calm to totall terror - in just a few moves on rock. Stevie Haston is a total legend and the next generation should respect what he and his peers did to create the sport - by taking huge risks.

Ice climbing has been one of part of climbing I enjoyed the most when things went well and hated, when it got out of control. Absolute fear and terror, which I very seldom felt on rock. But there are few things as satisfying as the complete process of climbing

I enjoyed watching this video. Great cinematography . I understand what they mean when they talk about the connection with nature . The thing I most enjoyed is the absence of the how can people work at a 9 to 5 job rap. This is thrilling , but not possible for the average person .
