      "There's more control lifting it this way"
      STFU and stop being cheap, get some dollies before you get a worker's comp bill. Take it from someone who who've rustled around aircraft tires and wheels that both weigh more and less than what you are showing and has seen injuries in both. DO NOT allow it to be a common practice.
      A go jack master set is 1K each with cart to wheel them around. Get three and you will be still at far less the cost and embarrassment of a single member of your crew slipping a disk. That's enough jacks to be adjusting and installing 12 tires at the same time.
      You aren't impressing anybody by letting this piss-poor practice continue. You are unnecessarily risking your employee's health and your business. Just get a go jack set and stop trying to show off.

An its hard to find someone who can even align a lifted toyota truck. If I wasn't a hvac guy I would open a custom lift/toyota shop. It would make big bucks.

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  Před 3 lety

    On average how much time do you take for a full suspension change on a truck?

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  Před 3 lety +4

      Suspension alone is roughly about 2-3 hours. Full packages about 3-4 hours. If chops are involved, add a couple more hours. 99% of our work is done same day. Once in a while we have full builds such as bumpers, winches, lighting, etc that we keep the car in for a couple days. As you can see in our videos, we have multiple techs working on the vehicle simultaneously so we've done complete packages in as fast as an hour. Keep in mind that we still do our quality control checks so speed generally doesn't compromise quality here. Hope that helps!

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  Před 3 lety +1

      To answer the question specifically, yes. We mount up to 24's usually for all the Rolls Royce cars we do. But if you're talking about for the Tacoma, we've mounted as big as 22's. It's not ideal for a truck in terms of offroad performance, but we do get guys coming in that are building show/dub style trucks.

    @aCertainJadeOfGreen Před 2 lety +1

    i see that this is an old video, but i truly hope you guys have revised your lug-nut torque procedure. especially with brand new wheels.
    i noticed the truck is on the ground, full weight on the wheels. the tech seems to turn some of the lugs much more than others on the magnetic gray/bronze fuel wheels..
    this implies that some lugs were not torque limited with an impact gun, resulting in varying turns to get to spec.
    this can cause a "wheel-off" scenario. which can be very dangerous/kill people on or off road.
    i would love to see proper wheel installation after all this "professional suspension service" done on future videos.
    that can literally be dangerous. which is why i dont get wheel services done at random tire shops.
    its simple, let the tires touch the ground while keeping the majority of weight off the ground while torqueing the lugs. you should never have to turn 1 lug nut more than others while using a torque wrench

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  Před 3 lety +1

      Pricing fluctuates often in the auto industry. For accurate and up to date quotes, we recommend calling in. We can post a kit for $5,000 now and in a week or two when the manufactures decide to raise or lower the price due to new laws or import tariffs, it will be different. Prices change, CZcams comment's don't. Lots of factors come in to play for "current" pricing. Thanks for viewing Lorenzo!
