cassandra was a very good character and kate hudson is amazingly talented. also something that i think is really sweet; kate thought lea was very difficult to work with but kate was still kind enough to let lea and leas friends and family stay with her after cory passed away so they could avoid being hounded by the paparazzi

Smelly Cat I disagree I think was because she saw a lot of potential in Rachel and just pushed her a lot. If a teacher/professor see that they help them in the way they think would work. While Miss.July wasn’t exactly the best method... Rachel ended up really appreciated her in the end.

Also, I think Cassandra was a little jealous of Rachel's youth and potential career ahead of her. But Cassandra saw what Rachel ready had deep inside her, which was raw talent. Rachel needed this hard lesson from Cassandra to reach her full potential! It was also a wake up call to Rachel about the show biz business!! I think if it hadn't been for Cassandra giving Rachel hell, she wouldn't have got then part or won the winter showcase!!

Because Cassie would look at Rachel and see just another small fish coming from the pond and feel like she needed to be brought down, but because of everything Rachel has been through it’s unlikely she would be willing to learn anything from her. She would just view her as another bully. They had a perfect opportunity to touch on this when she found her practicing alone. Rachel spent many years as an only child, being told to sterilize herself for her talent and ambition. It’s not purely narcissism. She feels like she has to become a star so that either they will regret how they treated her and love/accept her or at least she will be validated and their opinions won’t matter anymore cause she will have proven them all wrong. Cassie would have been just another one of those people to Rachel because of how she treated her.
An excellent teacher who recognized potential, challenged her student, and celebrated her success.
