Lebron 19-24 played in the league with Kobe, Timmy, Shaq, KG, Dirk, TMac, AI, Nash, Kidd, and was already on their level. Lebron was probably the 4th or 5th best player of the 2000s and he wasn't half as great as he was in the 2010s.

Jordan has only played with one all star in his entire career, that being Pippen. Jordan has also faced tons of competition too, such as Larry and Magic, James Worthy, Byron Scott, Kevin Mchale, Julius Erving, Dominique Wilkins, Isiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, Shaquille O Neal, Patrick Ewing, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Hakeem Olajuwon, etc...

2007-2010 were the prime years these two were competing at their best. Would’ve been the greatest match up in history if they ever played against each other in the finals. RIP Kobe.

Also in 2011 would’ve been a great opportunity for those two to meet in the finals since Lebron finally had good supplementary pieces surrounding him. Unfortunately, it never came to fruition due to Kobe getting swept by the Mavs in the 2011 playoffs

That mutual respect for each other is something that showed every time they took the court together. Both are in the upper echelon of the greatest of all time. Possibly the greatest Finals matchup (MIAMI/CLEVELAND VS. LA) that we never got to experience 😭

And they had a brother type of relationship. Played in a legendary Olympic team together. Admired each other's craft and had a competitive drive.
