Only just discovered this version now whilst searching for the original. What a beautiful soulful rendition! Gives me chills ❤️
A friend just sent me a link to this as her gift to comfort me after losing my wife in tragic accident this month.
It is perfect and sang to my soul.
Thank you for creating something so beautiful that I can both grieve and rejoice in. xxx
24/04/24 every single time 😢❤
Gorgeous, i listened to this song for years. My Mum's neighbour died giving birth to a baby girl who lived. It always reminds me of that.
Five wonderfully distinct and different voices that come together, to deliver a beautiful song.
Awesome
I've always wondered how singers don't cry when they sing
I have always liked Deb's voice and she absolutely smashes this one out of the park.
Wow, they are some soulful sistas! Goosebumps galore. Katie you're incredible.
So very lovely! Aussie beauties. X
I will never stop loving Katie Noonan! She's just.... everything. What a beautiful collaboration.

Oh wow, this is unbelievable. I recognised Angie Hart's voice before I read the video description and saw her name on the list, wow, this is just incredible, I love it very much, it's amazingly beautiful.
haunting beautiful. I'm in love. stirs something deep within my soul. Deborah Conway as stunning as always.
Holy shit - that is just magnificent. I often sneak onto the google machine and check out songs from my youth - and Chrissie Hynde often gets a go - so I find this version. It is an unpretentious but beautifully adorned jewell. Congratulations to all involved especially this extraordinary group of singers. Thanks. Peter Houghton.
Fantastic song :)

WHY oh why do I only want to listen to Angie? So many talented ladies but she has some kind of truth in her voice. Her soul comes through when she sings.

Written in the key of C. Does anyone else think that they are skipping the E note on the word "side." The opening phrase is "Let me in - side you." "Side" has two notes E and C. Bt I don't hear the E?
Some lovely bits, but what's with Angie Hart's god awful ocker accent at 2:00? Sounds like a Simpsons Aussie accent parody.
Sorry, but that's one of the things that's essential to her delivery of this version. Some parts of the delivery are almost speaking rather than singing. Whether speaking or singing, it always sounds wrong to me when an Australian singer intones every word like they were Detroit or LA born.
By the way, while this is good, there is a live version in ABCs studio that is even better with simpler instruments and production and an even better combination of voices. czcams.com/video/5lUYtoFbM2Q/video.html
@@SoulpowerMSRS we never had a problem when the Stones, Led Zep or the Beatles used American accents!
